    Homemade jams for sale

I visited the Paisley Cafe recently on a weekend. Which is fortunate, because they currently have hours only on the weekends, currently. I was pretty hungry, so I decided to try the Avocado Toast with salmon. They use challah bread, and serve it with perfectly cooked red potatoes. Also perfectly cooked was the egg on top. It still had a bit of rich gooey-ness to it that was sooo good! The ingredients were fresh and prepared nicely for a photogenic presentation. it was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. While there are plenty of tables indoors, I do appreciate outside dining if it's available. The weather is currently quite nice out.

I've been wanting to treat my mom to a breakfast where as a vegan I could eat more than potatoes and toast, so when I finally had a weekend where I stayed in town I decided to come check out Paisley Cafe and their all day vegan breakfast menu. I've now visited twice and while both times they've been incredibly understaffed to the point of being only able to offer takeout, they do have plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your meal. It's a small cafe at the corner of Madison & Main at the end of a strip mall in Orangevale, so I must admit I didn't have the highest of expectations. I'm fortunate that my mom enjoys eating vegan and we share our plates, so I've sampled most of what Paisley offers in the way of vegan brunch and I'm really jazzed that as a vegan I can satisfy my craving for an Americana breakfast here. Trust me, it's hard to find when you're plantbased. Some items I would highly recommend you try are the vegan breakfast burrito, the vegan Hangover Cure, and the vegan cinnamon rolls (but only if they are made fresh that day). Oh, and those house potatoes O'Brien are an absolute must! I can't wait until Paisley Cafe gets it together with staffing, because I'm really looking forward to trying their frittata (unavailable on both visits) and getting actual table service. And if management is (hopefully) reading this... I'm also dreaming of a vegan benedict on the menu :) I'm a big fan and I'll be back for sure. Definitely come check this spot out for breakfast!

Came this morning for the first time for my birthday breakfast only to find out they are closed this week. Should really update hours somewhere online if you are going to be closed.

Avocado Toast~ Loved poached egg, micro-greens & deep-fried capers on challah, would love to see some spice. Delicious O'Brien potatoes!

On Sunday morning my boyfriend, daughter and I stopped in for breakfast. I ordered the Avocado Toast with Chicken Apple Sausage and a Chai Tea Latte. I loved the perfectly poached egg, micro-greens and the deep-fried capers on their toasted soft challah bread, I would love to see a bit of spice to add a bit more flavor. The O'Brien potatoes were absolutely delicious and my daughter enjoyed the Chicken Apple Sausage, we shared our meal! Happy National Egg Day! The latte was mostly cream, I unfortunately couldn't taste the tea itself. Our server was in training so we had to remind him to bring my daughter's orange juice and my boyfriend's bacon he ordered. But the staff were friendly and sweet and my boyfriend absolutely loved his food and big cinnamon roll he took to-go! They are known for them and I tried a bite and I have to say it's definitely worth the hype! This local family owned and operated bakery and cafe makes everything in house and by scratch daily.

With my parents, visiting from LA!

Delicious breakfast! My parents and I came in and we all enjoyed our food. The biscuits were super yummy, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The service was above and beyond, that's why I wanted to write this review in the first place. They catered to my every whim (and sorry there were many, I'm a queen), and did so with a smile. I wasn't going to even write a Yelp review, but then I saw the bathroom toilets. There's a "Ministry of Magic This Way" sign on the toilet seat, and if you know; you know. That made me laugh so hard. The manager was kind and I will be back soon!

Hubby, son and I tried out this place that we had heard so much about. Just reading the menu was fun. So many choices. We finally chose one of today's specials Widow Maker's Breakfast Burger. Husband snd I shared, son boxed half of his for later. Presentation was amazing and food was delicious! We will be back!

Friendly staff makes a BIG difference when going out to eat and the staff here was so sweet and quick about everything. The younger guy serving us was so sweet... The vegan menu HITS (and non vegan menu, according to my breakfast date)... if you're vegan and tired of sh*t vegan places with unsalted tofu for breakfast LOOK NO FURTHER because omg... biscuits and gravy and cinnamon rolls are 10/10. Defs going to be back soon. This is the spot Orangevale NEEDED. :')

This CUSTOM Breakfast Sandwich is really 2-3 meals in one! So delicious!

This place is tucked away but so worth seeking out! Amazing vegan menu! The service was friendly and fast! I had leftovers for days lol

I love this place. Even when service is slow, they will warn you ahead of time and let you make a choice. Their bakery looks divine, and I appreciate their coffee and tea corner. I ordered avo toast with salmon and eggs, side of home fries. Everything tasted fresh, I basically ate the whole thing. The waitress was quick to bring some sauce when requested. And the best part was the low price! Under $15, can't beat that!

    Pulled pork chorizo breakfast tacos
    Justin C.

Awesome little local neighborhood cafe/breakfast spot. Their pulled pork chorizo is absolutely amazing in either their breakfast tacos or a breakfast burrito. Their corned beef hash and eggs Benedict are also really tasty. The service is super friendly and their dining areas are clean. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as online ordering/take-out. It has become my normal Saturday morning spot. Definitely worth checking out.

Worst experience of my life. Our burritos had fully black avocados and we didn't realize until halfway through eating. We were pretty disappointed and our stomachs are upset. Couldn't pay us to come back.

Presentation was nice, but what the eyes see, did not match flavor unfortunately

Great customer service, clean dining area, lots of space, outdoor seating. I ordered the Cardiac arrest, vegan style and not the best I've had. The potatoes were probably the best on the plate. The mushroom had an overpowering flavor, too much and not what I had expected. The gravy lacked flavor and the biscuits were also very bland, didn't do much for my palette and the flavor of the mushroom was so pungent, it made my stomach sour. Was going to try dessert, but decided to play it safe and avoid.

Nice local business, I had the special of the day Chilaquiles. It looked amazing and tasted even better I loved green sauce, eggs were cooked perfectly!!!!! My wife had the breakfast biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was fluffy and moist, eggs were savery and cheesy. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned well. OMG the coffee was top notch!!!!!!! Can't wait to come for lunch.

I work in the same Business Park so I already knew their food was great from eating there for lunch, but they truly impressed me as an event venue. The planning process was easy, and the staff member who helped me was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was tailored exactly how I wanted it. They had options for not only food dishes, but also tablecloths, plates, flatware, drinks, etc. When I arrived, everything was already set up and they even offered help as I added my own decorations. During the event, they kept everything running smoothly, clearing plates, serving the food on schedule, and taking care of guests. When it was over, I simply packed up my stuff and left. What a surprise! I arrived around 10:30 and was the only client there. The office building itself seemed quite empty of tenants too. Not sure of what was going on in the building. The security guard was very nice and escorted me to the restaurant. I was still in time for breakfast. They had a special which I ordered. I thought it took a bit longer than it should have - an omelet and some sausage and a prebaked muffin with coffee that I served myself - but it was all good. They seemed to be working on a lot of catering orders for lunch. A mother and son came in, ordered one meal and shared it. The space is large, open, and bright. It just seemed temporary to me - not like a restaurant wanting to diners but a place to prepare their catering orders and IF a random person suddenly appeared, they could be fed. This is not an area that I frequent and so the likelihood of returning is small - not because the food wasn't tasty or the restaurant itself was unacceptable. It just is out of the way for me and though was good, I was not wowed enough to find my way back for a meal. However, if you are in the area, please check them out. A mom and pop operation that deserves support.

We pulled in excited for both food and coffee... but quickly learned this is very much a coffee-first, food-optional situation. The coffee? Pretty solid. I ordered the honey lavender latte and enjoyed it. My daughter's iced vanilla latte also passed the teen approval test. Minor head-scratcher: I ordered my latte "for here" and still got a to-go cup. Now, the food. Oof. I'd strongly recommend sticking to baked goods (I didn't try them, but guessing that would be a better option) The avocado toast was a letdown. Imagine a teeny, paper-thin, cold piece of toast topped with a small smear of avocado that tasted more "packaged" than fresh, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, two lonely feta crumbles, and a sliced hard-boiled egg... served cold... on the side. It did come with a side salad, which felt like an apology. We also ordered a croissant sandwich (ham, Swiss, and scrambled eggs), which unfortunately did not sit well with my husband. The eggs tasted like they may have come from a carton. The staff was nice, but the service model was confusing. When I'm prompted to tip at checkout and there are tables and seating, I assume some level of table service. Instead, we picked up our own coffee, food, silverware, and napkins, and at the end, we also got the honor of bussing our own plates back to the counter. Full-circle dining experience. Bonus details: - They had one single packet of hot sauce left in the entire place - The salt shaker was completely solidified (we did ask for more, but the replacement had exactly one functioning hole) * And just to keep you on your toes, the front door pushes instead of pulls. A small thing, but somehow on-brand. Bottom line: Come here if you want a custom coffee. If you're hungry, manage expectations... or honestly, stick with good old Starbucks for consistency, fewer surprises, and doors that behave.
