Not good. Funny tasting pies. I would say box off flavor, non standard flavor. And canned fruit it seems.

Julian's was such a pleasant surprise. We stopped in for breakfast and ordered the breakfast wrap,…read morebacon, egg & cheese croissant, Nutella crepe, and avocado toast. The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.

We also spoke with Bailey, was lovely and apparently took the fall on Julian's behalf. I'd also like to note we ordered a cake here last year and visit Julian's restaurant in Folsom about 2x a month so, as I said I'm extremely disappointed. We ordered a cake for my son's birthday. Wanted a jungle theme. I could've gotten past the ugly (and not what we ordered) decorations had the cake not been cracked in multiple places on the bottom tier. I called, let them know it was cracked and they had me talk to the owner, Julian, who went on to blame us, saying this happened during transport. (It didn't, the cake was frozen. You can also see the terrible job icing it at the top proving it was frozen, and that the cake didn't shift in transport as there was no icing or anything on the cake board.) He argued with me, he was exceptionally rude and tried to put the blame on me. Eventually, he agreed to refund me 50% for the cake. When we cut into it, not only was it frozen, (the same tier that was cracked) but it was also not even the correct filling or cake. I'm not sure what happened, but I called to demand a full refund as this cake was not what I ordered, and the arrogant, rude, owner Julian insulted me, saying I was trying to con a small business. Bailey, who was extremely professional and polite, called back to confirm that wasn't what we ordered and to offer us a full refund. Julian is rude, disrespectful and didn't provide what I ordered. When he was called out he insulted me, insulted my intelligence (by telling me the cake wasn't frozen--when it was, as well as tell me I tried to con a small business.) as people who were extremely loyal to his business, I'm disgusted and disappointed and will not be returning. I'd also encourage you to beware of spending your money here, because you may not get what you order, you may but it's a full risk you will have to take. I also refuse to support rude or mean people. Best of luck if you gamble and order here. I wouldn't have nearly been as mad, nor taken the time to write this review had he not been such a jerk. I'll let you make your own assumptions, based on the emails between us and the company, and what we received. Good luck if you choose to order from them!

The inside of this cake shop tells a different story with a welcoming vibe (oh, the pinks) and a cozy seating area. We purchased a 4 for 24 cupcake batch here one weekend morning. Our foursome were Carrot Cake, Black Forest, Tiramisu and Chocolate Cookies-N-Cream cupcakes. We added a slice of Ube Cake as, why not? The icing wasn't too sweet and the cakes had distinct flavor profiles. My favorite was the Black Forest while my wife enjoyed the Ube Cake. We had a couple of iced coffees which were caffeine laden and refreshing. I just hope that they'd be serving hot beverages soon. The parents of the young baker were on site serving customers that morning. They were both friendly and extremely helpful with stories & and recommendations. I wish this family run business all the best!

Considering I am not vegan the vegan baked goods are the bees knees. My favorite is the pumpkin cream cheese sandwich it's so moist and the vegan cream cheese frosting is amazing. Bummer it's only a fall seasonal item. I could eat this tasty treat all the time. Their Oreo brownies are delicious and that is one of their regular menu items. The churro brownie is quite tasty as well nice and chewy. This too is another seasonal item. The monkey bread cupcake could have been more flavorful it wasn't bad, but not one of my favorites. They iced coffees are amazing and refreshing, definitely must try. The customer service is good they staff is very helpful and do give excellent recommendations. The inside of they bakery is cute and cozy and very welcoming. I assume they bake their items elsewhere as I didn't see anywhere the dessert could possibly be baked inside and all desserts where being taken out of plastic containers on the counter. I hope they stay in business for many years to come as I love supper small business and isn't I like in this area we really don't have "really good" vegan bakeries on this side of town.

The pork shu mai really blew me away with their flavor and generous size. I grabbed some cookies to go and they were fantastic. The cakes looked like perfection so need to return for those (and more dim sum!). The woman in the shop (perhaps the owner?) was so friendly and welcoming. Although, I didn't check the time and saw that they were closing at six so I called around 545 and asked if they're able to stay in later so I can pay for my drink and I can order on the phone and the person on the phone with me said ' yeah I can stay back till 6:15' . AsI rushed over here, my time went up due to traffic and I let her know that and she said that 'as long as I get in before 6:20 it's gonna be ok' thankfully I got here at 6:18 and as soon as I got in, she handed me my drink, and as I paid for it, she offered me a custard on the house, and I happily took the custard. I told her that I was going to see a movie and that I needed something to drink before I saw the movie and she understood and listen to me as I was talking. Definitely would recommend going here! People are very accommodating to a situation, and like I said, they never disappointed with their drinks and I can't wait to try custard pastry!
