We walked in and the smell of fresh pies was addicting! Those who are strong willed could walk by and not buy one. I am not, so I could not leave without getting a pie. The pie shop is bright and adorably decorated with fun wall art and cute merchandise. The pies are displayed and look picture perfect. Our kids instantly wanted the sprinkle celebration pie. So we got that and the key lime pie. The pies tasted like heaven. The key lime had just enough tartness. The celebration filling was creamy and not overly sweet. What made us fall in love was the crust. It was flakey, buttery, and just perfection. Some of the best pies we've had and we will be back to try the rest of them.

There's no where else for pie I would go - I really love I love pie bake shop! Pies are delicious and there are many flavors to choose from. I tried the banana cream pie and the blueberry. Both were delicious. I love that the banana cream wasn't too sweet. Both pies were fresh. These are cravable and will be going here as long as they are open.

This review is long overdue! We first tried I Love Pie Bakeshop on New Year's Eve 2024 when we were frantically looking for a last-minute dessert to ring in the new year. We happened to see this place pop up in our search results and were relieved they were open. My partner picked up a pecan pie and a celebration pie -- both were absolutely delicious! Since then, we've been coming back for dessert cravings and special occasions. One thing I love is that they offer both small and large sizes, perfect whether you're just craving a slice or celebrating something bigger. We've tried several flavors -- the highly rated banana cream pie is our favorite! It's not overly sweet, the bananas taste fresh, and the crust is perfection. We've also enjoyed their horchata, corn, and celebration pies -- each one has its own unique charm. Just a tip: if you have your eye on a specific flavor, order online a couple of days ahead since the popular ones sell out fast, especially around holidays. Service is always a 10/10. Everyone is friendly, patient, and happy to help you decide what to try. Sometimes they even offer samples of the pies they have that day. I Love Pie Bakeshop is located inside the Milagro Centre on Fair Oaks, and their shop has such a cozy and welcoming vibe. Definitely one of our favorite local dessert spots!

Walking by after having dinner I couldn't not get something for later but decided on a smaller size of their pies. Due to it being later in the day there was less selection. We decided on the Key Lime Pie.

Great pie. Had the chocolate and the mixed berry. Has an awesome flakey crust and very good fillings that change seasonally. They have mini pies and full size pies. We got the full size and you should know that even the full ones are smaller than the average pie at only 8 inches. It's probably the best pie in the area but for $32 each you have to really want pie. The store is in a good court kind of place, which could make it hard to find if you were not aware. The shop is cute but i was just there for pie.

Found this pie shop via Yelp, located inside the Milagro Centre on Fair Oaks in Carmichael. It's located past the gelato stand. Did not order ahead, and took a chance walking in a few days after the Thanksgiving holiday to pick up a pie or two for Friendsgiving dinner. Seems like a one-woman run business, and for a Saturday afternoon there were still some good selections in the display case available for purchase and not already spoken for (smaller 6-inch and larger 8-inch pies), including apple (I forget if it was classic or salted caramel dutch), bourbon pecan, chocolate cream, and banana cream. Other seasonal flavors are pumpkin, sweet potato, eggnog custard, and red velvet chess. I got one 8-inch banana cream and one 8-inch chocolate cream ($28 each). The crust is all-butter, and the heart-shaped decorations on each pie are cute and very fitting of the bakeshop's name. Between the two, the banana cream pie was by far the favorite. The chocolate cream was also very good. I'm curious to try their fruit pies and other offerings (chicken pot pie, hand pies, pie pops) in the future!

Yummy! Thick, buttery crusts, the perfect mint of sweetness, and fresh ingredients make this bakeshop so fantastic. We tried pumpkin, apple, pecan, and custard and everyone loved the apple most! It's different from the usual, with syrupy sweet apple filling. I second another persons review that the crust could be baked just a few minutes less, so it has a softer, pure butter flavor rather than a hint of burn to it. But the texture is perfect as is. I'd definitely return and try all their other flavors.

Got a key lime pie from here and it was delicious! The flavor was perfect and it had the right amount of lime flavor. Definitely recommend this place for pies!

Today I attended a pie making class with three other people. Loved that it was a small group because the owner, who ran the class, was able to pay attention to whether we were making the dough, etc correctly. While it cooked we enjoyed a slice of amazing banana cream pie. The owner is delightful. Provided very thorough instruction and guidance. I look forward to taking more classes! Unfortunately the class was on a Sunday and the bakery isn't open. So I look forward to returning to buy a pie and other merch she sells.

Salted Caramel Cappuccino Cheesecake class was amazing! Fun, informative, easy to follow with a yummy dessert to take home! Can't wait for the next one! Such an adorable shop with creative and delicious pies!

Pecan pie

Got my husband a pecan pie for his birthday and a banana cream pie for myself. And let me tell you, these were the best pies we've ever had! The staff was kind and had my order ready as I planned for pick up. Highly recommend this place and will most definitely be ordering pies again! Thank you!!

Blueberry sour cream pie

Really good pies! We got the apple and banana cream a little while back for a party and they were a hit, both really delicious. I went today and got the blueberry sour cream as a little surprise for my wife's bday. That one was decent, not quite as good as the previous two, but maybe part my own fault because I was expecting a sour cream pie more like how Heidi's Pies make them which is more like layers of blueberry and cream. This one is mixed together, idk, decent but no wow, wouldn't get it again compared to their other flavors.

I love the banana cream pie here but the last few times we got it either the crust was burnt so it gave a slightly bitter taste or there was more whip cream than filling. Unfortunately this week we got the combo of both burnt crust and barely there banana cream. If I'm going to pay almost $30 for a pie, I don't want a burnt crust and barely there banana cream filling. Hopefully they'll do better quality control checks on these pies. I hate that I still love them though!

Nice clean open work station!

It was fun trying somewhere new as we usually go to our favorites. For the past several years we've been going to Scott's for celebrations, but that has gotten old so thankfully we found somewhere new and loved it. I highly reccomend this restaurant. The ambiance is spectacular. If you can get one of the side tables under the overhang with the wine bottle chandelier you'll love it. Here's what we ordered: Borscht with Beef: Traditional red soup made with beets, beef, garden vegetables topped with sour cream- To me it didn't look appetizing, but it's a traditional dish so we split a cup. We didn't have much hope that would be edible. We were blown away trying it. It was actually good. We were shocked. It was so good. It was filled with pieces of tomatoes and beets and huge tender chucks of beef. Spinach Blini-Gluten free, vegetarian, 6 blintzes filled with spinach and creamy white sauce. We really enjoyed these Spinach Blini. They were very rich. I could only eat two to them and took the third one with me to share with my husband. He really liked it and wish there was more. I really wanted to get the Cherry Blini, but we were too full even though we shared an entree. I'm so disappointed as they looked so good. We needed a couple more people at our table so we could have tried more dishes and eaten everything family style. Beef Stew-Tender chunks of beef meat, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and this good things stewed in perfectly hearty cheese gravy baked in clay pot and served with tortilla on top. This takes me to the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento where I had the opportunity in trying out "Sham Sweets". Established in 2019, this hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern dessert shop is located directly on Fulton Ave and adjacent to Hurley Way. The parking lot is quite spacious as this small business shares itself with many other unique places. Business hours here are also very generous as they are open 7 days a week from 11:00am-8:30pm. I came here on the afternoon of Saturday 2/21/2026 at around 2:00pm. Upon entry, I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious, clean, and inviting this place was. And my oh my, they had a TON of desserts displayed everywhere! Everything from Turkish delights, baklava, künefe, Turkish cookies, and their version of a Middle Eastern ice cream, "Booza". Since it was the most requested item, I took a chance and ordered this. it is quite difficult to explain this food item but it has the chill factor of sweet cream but more of a dense, elastic-stretchy texture. It also had pasty pistachio chunks as a crumb topping. And since I wanted some desserts to go, I also ordered a total of 4 of their "Pistachio Bites"; two traditional/old-fashioned and two modern. Total price for everything only came to $10. The young man who helped me was very friendly, accommodating, and was able to answer all my questions. Since I had already visited their website, https://ediblesacramento.com/editorial/sham-sweets/, I had more of a general idea of what to expect at their bakery. After exiting the building, I enjoyed the Booza outside my car. I have to say that this dessert was like something I never experienced. One thing I have to say is that it is quite dense and creamy, almost a taffy-like custard. And with the chunks of pistachio with other elements packed in, it was quite chewy as well. I loved it but the flavor might turn a few people away. Once I got home, I enjoyed a couple of the Pistachio Bites and those also hit the spot. I love pistachio in general so when you make it into a small savory sweet, the flavor elevates itself on so many levels. The prices here are unbeatable, the customer service here was stellar, they have very generous hours of operation, and the unique Middle Eastern desserts that I sampled definitely did not disappoint. I expect to make many future visits to "Sham Sweets" and this place was sweet! My rating, a unanimous five stars.

I've since moved out of state, but during my last visit in January this year, the treats and drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. This was always one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours catching up with girlfriends over tea and pastries. The ambience is lovely and gives off fancy tea party vibes, making it perfect for casual conversations, book discussions, or just relaxing with something sweet. My personal favorites are the rose macaron and the mont blanc desserts. If I'm feeling hungry, I usually order the ratatouille, and the vanilla bean French toast is amazing when I want something sweet but filling. Matcha is always my go-to drink here too (though it's on the sweet side, so I don't think it's ceremonial grade). I remember my first visit; It was when I stopped by later in the day looking for a birthday cake for my son's 8th birthday about five years ago. I ended up choosing their chocolate mousse cake on a whim since it was one of the cakes they still had on display, and it turned out to be a good decision. My son loved it, but it was too chocolatey for me so he ended up having most of the cake. Still one of the memories I remember most from here. It was something I kept in mind that if I wanted more options and variety, I should arrive earlier in the day. There are a few downsides that keep this from being a full 5 stars for me though. The parking lot is very small and street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. The place gets crowded very easily, which is why I usually preferred walking there when I lived nearby. There's often a guard stationed at the front kindly holding the door open, though I imagine that's also due to the neighborhood. Pricing is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly that's fairly expected with a patisserie. My biggest issue is that service can noticeably decline when they're overwhelmed. Depending on when you visit, the line can get absurdly long (almost out the front door), and I've experienced slower service and even had my drink mixed up with another customer's order once. Since I order oat milk due to lactose intolerance, getting the order correct is pretty important. Thankfully, when the bakery isn't overly busy and adequately staffed, the employees are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with the ordering process if you have questions. It is still one of the Sacramento bakeries I miss after moving away. It was so lovely to have a bakery down the street from home.
