On Saturday he said he was on my way to my house but alas, he didn't show until 4 hours later. I asked him for a time to expect him but he never let me know. I have a contract with them but he is very unresponsive and my yard looked terrible as we were over 2 weeks without a cut at the end of May and early June. I thought the issues that I had when I initially contracted with him to mulch and seed my yard in the spring were an anomaly but they appear instead to be part of a pattern. After first contacting him to do Spring bed clean-up and mulching, I waited 3 plus weeks and they never showed even though he stated they would mulch within the week after receiving the contract. When I finally was able to reach him, I had to insist that they do the work as they wanted to wait another 2 weeks which would have put us into late May for mulching and seeding and over 5 weeks from the initial request for service. (Then he never cleaned up/trimmed the plants in the side gardens. ) The delays, unresponsiveness, and lack of communication and the fact that he clearly misled, if not outright lied, to me about being on his way are indicative of the poor customer service and an unreliable business. I would advise you to avoid working with Pine Ridge Landscaping.

We all started talking, and as I learned more about DJ, I learned he is a jack of all trades. He does remodeling, concrete, cleaning and even landscaping. So, I told him to hand me one of his cards and to call me on Saturday for an estimate for two trees. That Saturday, DJ and his crew showed up on our scheduled time, he was just as personable as he was in the barber shop and he provided a free estimate rather quickly. His estimate blew the competition out of the water and I was so thrilled I asked eagerly: when can you start? Today, was his response. DJ articulated his planned approach on how he'd cut the tree down and trim the other. He took his time to explain it to ensure I was comfortable and understood. A few hours later, DJ and crew showed up and got to work. They first trimmed an evergreen and after, started trimming the tree I needed to be cut down. When the tree I wanted cut down, shifted the opposite way DJ wanted it to fall. He was quick to act by using straps to ensure the tree did not fall on my neighbors fence. Thereafter, he brought his truck over and pulled the tree down to fall the way he wanted. His crew cut the tree up from there and removed all the debris. I'm happy with overall cost, and the time it took to finish. They did a great job and I plan to use them again for a follow-up job.

On the day of the rescheduled appointment, they called to say they'd be late due to unforeseen circumstances, which they explained. They said they'd knock $ off the price for our inconvenience. Everything about the experience was stellar. They were respectful and professional, but also extremely friendly - just very nice people! I've never seen such a thorough cleaning job. They used a steamer to clean the grout in the shower stall and gaskets around the refrigerator door and sliding glass door, the washed the glass on the sliding doors and swept the entry walk with a blower. The place looked better than I'd seen it . . . Ever. I will definitely use them again.

He assured me I would be very happy with his work. We set up a meeting for a Tuesday at 7:30pm. I said I was home on Thursdays and could see him during the day. He said he preferred evening hours to accommodate working people. Likely more to accommodate himself. Perhaps this is a side business? I agreed to the evening hours. He requested that I e-mail him my address. I was tied up that weekend and didn't e-mail him right away. He texted me the next day to remind me to send him the address. I was impressed by that. Felt like he really wanted my business. I e-mailed him the address and requested that we change the meeting to Thursday at the same time. He e-mailed back that was fine and he would see me Thursday at 7:30. I rushed through my errands to get back to meet him. 7:30 came and went. 7:45 came and went. 8:00 came and went. At that point, I considered him a no-show. At 8:20, Gus called. I sent him to voice mail. He said he was checking to see if we were still meeting as he hadn't gotten confirmation from me. ???? When it comes to a major project like this, I have no tolerance for this kind of thing. If you can't even keep the appointment straight, how will you handle all of the moving parts of a remodel? He was the only one that gave me a clear estimate up front ($65) based on the photo I provided. Other companies charged a fee (~$50) just to come out to give me an estimate, while one guy quoted me $50-300. No thanks. David came to my house the following Monday, arrived early, and was quickly able to cut the hose off the spigot. I was happy with his service. That evening, I went outside and noticed the spigot was still dripping even though it had been turned off for hours. David had not damaged the spigot in any way and I realized it may have been leaking for ages (one of my nightmares). I texted David and he came back the next day. He agreed it was probably the spigot, but we also discovered my two shutoff valves for the outdoor spigots were completely stuck, plus one was not even accessible. David quoted me $560 not including parts to replace the hose bibb (including cutting the drywall and putting it back ready-to-paint), replace one shutoff valve, and move the second shutoff valve so it was accessible. That evening I called another company for an estimate. They quoted me something like $1400 for the same work. Nooooo thank you. David and his employee came back today and completed the repairs quickly and efficiently. I was very pleased with his service and would hire his company again.
