We received several estimates from 4 other companies in the area, and New Earth's was right in the middle. The reason we chose New Earth is the honesty that the owner, Jon Runger, put forth. We wanted to go with ideas for plants that we saw online. Jon knew each of the plants we wanted, and informed us that they most likely would not last in our changing environment here. He gave us other suggestions and we would still get the same look we were after. His suggestions also lowered the price. Another thing that sold us was the organic part. We needed 3 yards of soil brought in, and there was no charge for the dirt itself. Jon informed us that they make their own organic dirt, and because of this it wouldn't cost us! WOW! Lastly, we had seen the 2 negative reviews left on this site, and then also looked at the Google reviews. We concluded that the negative reviews were not in line with what others had stated. We actually found Jon and his team to not only be friendly, but very courteous and jovial. Not once were we pressured to do more than what we wanted, and their clean up was meticulous. Overall, we are very, very satisfied with New Earth, the owner, and their quality of work. Definetely will use them again as needed.

My wife and I moved into a 70 year old house on a hill. The previous owners had done quite a bit of…read morework - french drain, waterproofing the basement, 3 sump pumps, steel beam reinforced walls - but we spotted some water along the basement wall. Tim came out to look at that and a bunch of other stuff (future work), and gave us a plan to resolve the immediate issues. On the inside, his guys came out and jackhammered along our foundation, installed a new system to collect and direct any water seeping through the wall to our existing sump pump discharge line, and laid new concrete. They even worked around a bit of a curveball without needing to deviate from the estimate. Outside, they dug a 22-ft trench and installed a french drain to alleviate the hydrostatic pressure on the basement wall, routed our HVAC condensate line into the french drain, installed 2 new window wells which allowed them to grade the yard away from the house, and installed another french drain on the far end of the garden to help mitigate the flash flooding we experience there. They finished up by laying fescue sod over the affected area, making it look nice and clean. All of the work was done in two days, with some minor cleanup work on the 3rd day after the concrete had cured in the basement. The price was good, the guys worked hard, the work was done on time, and the final product was excellent. We will be using them again for our retaining walls, landscaping, and whatever else comes our way.

Within a week, David called me and scheduled to come and star the process, the crew arrived at 7:00 AM Monday morning replacing numerous bricks which had their face falling off on our home and stoop area. I keep using W&M Services for more and more projects and Walter Moreno never disappoints! The…read morelatest project was removal of a haphazard wire fence (with "plumbing pipe" supports!) entangled with overgrown brush that probably hadn't been touched in 30 years. Mr. Moreno's crew spent days hacking down the brush and digging out huge root balls so that a new wood fence could be installed. The transformation in the look is nothing short of amazing! Neighbors can't help but pause and look. Once the wood dries out a bit, the crew will return to stain and seal it - but it already looks fantastic. Walter kept me informed every step of the way and was patient and creative in working with my next-door neighbor to navigate some decorative cinder block on her side, and her plantings. He was also creative in fence design to deal with my neighbor's yard being more than two feet higher than my driveway. W&M Services gives great value for the price - Highly recommend!

Justin and his son were very nice and personable and he explained what his process would be for…read morefilling the cracks with a finely ground-up asphalt product and then spraying under pressure with a high quality asphalt sealer to cover the ground up material and filling in the other very fine hairline cracking. It looked great when done with a shiny rich black finish. However, and sadly after numerous sunny and dry days that gave it plenty of time to cure, the weather returned to normal alternating sunny and rainy weather. Although the smooth and shiny parts held up well and still look good, all the places he used the ground-up asphalt product have mostly washed away and the cracks have reappeared. I am not an expert but it seems that material was too finely ground and did not have a bonding agent and basically acted like gravel and washed away. The spray under pressure process does not seem to apply a thick enough coat of sealer and I believe applying it with a squeegee would have put down a thicker coating and once cured given it a better chance of holding. I will now have to go back with a backer rod foam material and asphalt caulking adhesive to redo the larger openings and at least apply some asphalt caulking to the minor ones and smoothing. Overall, the job was disappointing and did not do what I had hoped for and what was explained. I would not ever again use a spray process, which may save time, but does not appear to be as durable and long lasting as the company that last sealed the driveway and it lasted 5 years.
