OMG this place is fun!! But you do need to be prepared to dig. They have tons and tons of Nordstrom Rack, Macys and other high end retailer close outs. Marked down racks of Nordstrom clothes for $2-3, stuff that is reg priced are $30 ea, but we are talking brands like Free People, Eileen Fisher and others which is a steal. I spent more than I intended, but the friendly check out agent made me feel so happy about every purchase. Will be back for sure!!! read more

Reading the reviews for Dirt Cheap might discourage you from stopping. Rest assured I'm here to tell you it's a great stop if you have an hour to kill. Went in without having high expectations but I was blown away with all of items you can find. Location: Located inside of a plaza. Parking: Parking Lot is available with plenty of parking. This store is very very overpriced. I scanned a bunch of products and checked the prices on Amazon. Even with their 40% off they were still more expensive. There is nothing dirt cheap here. This is a rip off. They are overcharging. read more

Not really a fan. Most of the aisles were blocked off with signs saying "not for sale until Thursday". Everything was crazy disorganized. I waited 15 minutes for assistance at the dressing room and no one ever showed up. There was one guy working who was super nice and helpful. Legit the only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because of him. read more

I enjoy browsing at this store and their prices are usually very good, but when it comes to checking out, it's another story. I wish they could have a slow check out lane set up and ready for women with over 25 items in their cart that are going to obsess about the price of every one of the 100 items in their carts that they have spent the last 4 hours filling to the brim. The clerks are nice, but I do not know how they deal with women doing this to them every day. I can't stand when I have three measly things in my arms and walk up to see one register open with 3 elderly women lined up with their carts overflowing with items ready to be read the price of EVERY SINGLE ITEM RIGHT DOWN TO THE SKITTLES and say "keep" or "pass" to ALL OF THEM. I avoid going here on Tuesdays for this very reason, but it happens on non senior citizen days too if you are not careful. read more

Listen I get it. You have to make your money some how. All businesses do. And I'm not going to sit here and act like they don't have items that are actually cheap but I will say this, this is a whole new type of finesse especially to people who don't know any better in terms of looking up the actual price of an item. I saw a rice cooker apparently valued at "400" that rice cooker was no where near that as an original price and when they took the discount it came out to the same exact price that is listed as retail. This place has cheap items like I said but your not about to sell me an item without the box push it to 400 then discount it to retail. read more

I shopped at dirt cheap today and never had an employee to be so disrespectful and I'm in there very often, she didn't want to check with the manager on a price which was different from what I had scanned but the manager did come over and verify the price was what I had told her she did charge me the sale price but before that happened she wanted to just put the item back because of the price disagreement and she didn't want to put certain items in a bag because she said it didn't fit but it did after I put it on the bag and she threw the bag on the countertop and my receipt... I did say to her she need an attitude adjustment and if she didn't want to work she should go home because I am a customer and you don't treat them that way but that didn't register to her at all... she does need checking because it could have been ugly. read more

Yes, it is messy, yes it can be frustrating, but if you are a bargain hunter it can be lots of fun. I go there once a week, my family used to make fun of me. But, I'd find great things at super prices that I was fairly sure we would need/use and store them at home. Once the family realized that when they wanted something it could often be found in the "stash" they stopped teasing me. You must have patience, you MUST test all electrical items, you MUST open boxes to be certain all parts are there. They have a table in the back just to check items before purchasing, because they do not accept returns. Once you get the hang of how Dirt Cheap pricing works and diligently double check all items you will find it a great source for bargain everyday goods. My formerly teasing family, now has me on the "watch" for certain items and I am to call them when I see them. That says it all. read more

I spent over 6 hours thrift shopping at Dirt Cheap rummaging through all the aisles. Found everything I needed and when I got to the register it was obviously more than I expected to spend. We were the last people in the store, my mom, my infant and I. When I went to pay for everything I realized I didn't have enough money on me so I asked the young lady at the door to let me run to the car quickly me grab some more money. I was going to leave my mom with my baby and run quickly to the car, get some more money and come right back. She said if she let me outside she couldn't let me back in because it was store policy. I expressed that I was leaving the baby and my mom to return quickly and she said no. Then she told the young man that was there (another employee) to put them in a cart and she will put them back first thing tmrw morning. Ok if I'm spending my money somewhere I'd expect a little more customer service. She didn't offer to hold them for me and let me come back the next day for them. It was too late to go through all those stuff and select what I wanted to match the amount of money I had on me. So I walked out and told them to keep it all. When I left the store I asked her name and asked if she was the shift manager. She said yes and her name was Brianna. Absolutely disappointed and highly upset because I spent hours finding those things and there's gotta be some leniency. It's natural to spend more than you expected at a thrift store especially when it's the first time visiting. Brianna didn't mind the time it took for her employee to ring up over $200 worth of stuff and she didn't mind them putting back all those stuff. No regards for employees because she doesn't have to put them back. She doesn't mind the company losing a $200+ sale either. We're not even from Alabama, we're visiting family here whilst we shelter the storm and they recommended this place. First and last time here! Not only am I disappointed but I'm highly upset. This was my first shopping experience with Dirt Cheap. It is a horrible place to shop. Not only is it very hard to find anything with everything just thrown all the shelves with no particular rhyme or reason, but two of the items that I purchased today (a sprinkler and a Farberware blender, did not work. I realize the items are discounted, but I did think they would be in working order. Of course, I cannot return the items because this store does not allow refunds, nor does it allow exchanges. I have shopped at this Dirt Cheap location many times in the past 2-3 years and have never had a problem until now. I was at this store on 8/23/17 after 6pm. I bought (7) items and only (6) made it in my 2 bags. After making this realization one day later that the item which was a set of two pillowcases didn't make it into my bags , I have came back to he store to see if they got left at the register or put back on the shelf. The cashier today that I spoke to about what had happened said that they were not in the store and went to speak to someone in the office. She came back and said that I could go and get something else for $4. I told I was only interested in the item I had paid for. She then called someone on her walkie-talkie and said that I didn't want to get another item for same price. So, I told the cashier I would go and see if what I had purchased was put back on the shelf. I checked and they were not there. So as I was walking through the store, I came upon the manager on the floor and told him what had happened. He said to go with him to the front of the store and check up front if they were there. They weren't. I asked him what could be done about it since it wasn't an item that was being returned but one that was purchased and didn't get put in the bag. He kindly offered to do a refund to my credit card that was used to purchase. All of this to say to customers is to check your bags before you leave the store to be sure you have got what you paid for. read more
