If you're looking for art supplies The Art Cart is a good starting point…read more We stopped in here to check out the pen collection, so my wife could do some of her artwork journaling. They had some really nice pens with a variety of widths, making them smoother and/or heavier. In addition to the pen selection they had all sorts of paints and associated brushes and anything you may need to kick your next art project into gear. Staff was friendly and they had quite a few people in here checking out what kind of supplies they had. Store is organized nicely and had a good flow (like items were together). Good spot to check out if if you find yourself at Lowe Mill Art & Entertainment plaza. I'd recommend and we'd come back if we are in this area again.

They have a variety of professional art supplies, and the lady that was running it was kind, patient, and has a heart for inspiring artistic youth. They had "exactly" what my daughter was looking for, and I would much prefer to buy local than to support Amazon and get let down again when the package doesn't arrive the day they say it will. We were also encouraged by this store's Christmas project. They challenge patrons to take a paper bag and decorate it. They're having a fun time judging them, and will use them to hand out gifts collected for those in need. Places such as this serve as a reminder of how important brick and mortar stores are. Very refreshing and we'll be back here soon...with a decorated paper sack and a gift or two from their list. This gets a deserved 5 stars from me.

This store is large and was full of shoppers. There was a sale on fall merchandise. The checkout registers were 3-4 deep of customers waiting to pay. I walked past the people to see what people were buying. Well that was hard to see right away. There are aisles stocked up to the ceiling against the walls. Christmas items were along the back wall. Now I know why I can't find Christmas items in December! Some items were marked down 70% and people were buying. There was an abundance of Halloween stuff on sale too. Clocks and pictures looked to be hugely marked down. Markdown signs were all over. A shopper's paradise is markdown and clearance signs. I have friends who shop at Hobby Lobby 2-3 times a month. I see why. The store seems to have a little bit of everything. It would be very easy to fill up a shopping cart. Ok back to what I was looking for. I did find several wood pieces I could use to elevate my Kaleidoscape. The number of wood and cork items I could have purchased were tenfold what the other store had. I got in line to pay and only had 1 person in front of me. Checkout was fast and very pleasant. I highly recommend this store. It was a pleasure walking around inside and I will return.

I walked up to one of them and asked where the spring plates were. She led me straight to them with asking about my day with the biggest smile and bubbly personality. Personally I can tell these employees love their jobs. When I checked out I didn't realize that most of my stuff was on sale. I ended up spending 62 dollars less than when I expected!! I had such a great experience and I will be coming back soon!

Conveniently located off Slaughter Road in the Heritage Plaza near the 72/University Blvd, I quickly headed over before their 5:30pm closing. I needed monogramming services to be done on a few pieces in time for an out of state bridal shower. [Son is getting married!!! :) ] Had less than 5 days before my flight, and Carl & Debbie were able to help me with my rush order at a very reasonable price. Even with a small order like mine, they were able to squeeze me in between the huge ones already in progress. I also must add that Debbie was very patient with me (bless her heart!) as it took me almost an hour to decide on a specific design last week when I first placed my order. With numerous catalogs to thumb thru and designs to choose from, I was undecided but finally locked down on one after changing my mind a couple of times. :) Now with the items in hand on the afternoon promised, I am quite pleased with their work & word! The monogramming and design work looks awesome and is perfect for my son and soon to be daughter in law. I will post pictures of the finished products soon. It's not often I need personalized work to be done on apparel or gifts, but when I do they've gotta be reliable, experienced, and reasonably priced.,,, that is what I found with Alabama Stitchin' Post. I now know where to come should I need them in the future for large or small orders, including for promotional items. Check them out! Their word is good here. When they say they'll have your order done by a certain date, they stand by their word and their work is done precisely as you need it to be!!

I haven't been in this store in years. There were at least a dozen shoppers. I noticed fall stuff and some Christmas stuff. We looked at cork first and then wood. The store has limited cork inventory, as well as, limited wood pieces. I picked up 4 small cylindrical wood posts and headed to the checkout. These pieces weren't exactly what I needed but they were better than nothing. Checkout was very slow. I couldn't find a person to checkout with so I went to self checkout. After struggling for at least 5 minutes, a store employee came over to help. She struggled with the self checkout. Between the two of us we had to start and stop to start over 4 times before the self checkout register would work properly. I was about to leave everything due to frustration. The store employee was pleasant and cheerful thru the ordeal. She wished me a better day and I told her the same. The person in charge of programming the self checkout registers needs to revisit the code written and make changes so that it doesn't take 2 people 4 attempts to purchase from Michael's.
