I'm liking Decatur better and better while I'm hear visiting my family. My sister took me by a…read morebrand new thrift store where I found, for $8.95 a San Francisco Giants jacket..the one w/the tan sleeves which was given to the thrift store owner's son by Lou Brock!! My friends back in S.F. are going to be jealous! Then my sis took me by Needz Etc. What a crazy-fun place to shop for you and your family's 'Needz'..yes, I get it. Open since August 1st of 2008, owners Steve and Dawn Rikard have a one-in-a-kind store chocked full of everything from beauty aids to vitamins to first-aid items which they sell for $1.00 to $3.00. There are things that cost a tad more but it is all CHEAP and not something that expired 10 years ago. How so cheap? Steve and Dawn drive to locations in Tenn. and Fla. to buy these products by the pallet. They're basically buying a mystery cornucopia of products which they personally drive back to Decatur, unload and put out. I found a beautiful Natve American dream catcher for $5.00 last October whih I gave to my son. This time, I found a3-pack of Memorex DVD-RW for my camcorder, big bottle of Opticon Lens Solution, bottle of Vit.C. a jar of cocoa butter skin mosturizer all for just over $10.00!! Talk about feeling shopper-triumph. I'll be going back to check their HP ink cartridges soon. A must-see,must-buy for those of you wanting to save your money. Please check Needz Etc. out, you will be pleasantly suprised.

I know Michael S. loves this place, but I didn't. 99.9% of the items I looked at were items like…read moreover the counter drugs and beauty creams and they were all expired. Some I found expired in 2008, yes two years ago. I wasn't too hip on that. I did buy a couple of items whose boxes were beat up and were previously clearance items from Rite Aid and didn't expire, like nasal strips. But I wasn't impressed. The man at the cash register wasn't very friendly. He didn't greet me, at least to where I could hear him and wasn't very appreciative that I'd shopped at his store. He also had a shady friend stop by who was talking rather loudly about how he's going to do illegal things, like rip us fellow tax payers off by collecting unemployment and working under the table. You dirty rat! I really wanted to tell the man off but he was shady and rat like, and scary, so I didn't. The man running the place didn't disagree with what his friend was going to do. So that spoke of his values as well. I brought up a box of tea that had expired last year and he told me 2 dollars, I said that's too much. He didn't even offer to go lower. I mean it's herbal expired tea! Come on! It's not a thrift store. It's a place that specializes in open boxes, tore up boxes, and expired goods. All things found from the clearance racks of local stores. Nothing of any real value. Also there is a 10 dollar minimum if you want to use your charge card, so beaware of that.

Talk about ir-ri-ta-ting. Every time I've come to shop they don't seem to have anything that great. Disappointed. Update: I came back several weeks later after calling ahead of time to make sure they were accepting items. I dropped off several things and came back a few hours later. They offered me $5.50 for 3 pairs of shoes, a pair of jeans, and a pair of sunglasses. Shoes were American Eagle and Mossimo Co., jeans were PacSun, and sunglasses were unlabeled from Claire's. I am very displeased so I chose to take my items with me. I was expecting $2-3 for each item.

If you are desperate to sell your clothing then this is the place for you.Being offered very low…read moredollar amounts for top name brand merchandise that they only price at 75% to 95% of the price you sold to them. So in the world of one of the employees after trying to sell something at this location. "You will be much better off selling your own items". I was told after refusing the very insulting offer of $20.00 for a authentic $345.00 Coach Handbag..we all know this brand definitely holds its value. So save yourself the hassle and time and just sell your items on a Facebook Yard Sale Sight or sell them online yourself. Definitely will not ever return to this store to sell anything. Mostly sell-- mall brand items that you can actually get for much lesser price on the clearance racks of the brands they sell at your local mall.
