Upon first glance it appears cleaner and more organized, but once you look at the shelves and bins you realize how messy everything is. Lots to rummage through and sometimes it really does seem like you're sifting through trash. Tons of empty packaging and boxes! It really is hit or miss here. Sometimes you'll find an amazing deal but sometimes you leave empty handed and annoyed! Luckily today we found a beautiful 10ft pre-lit Christmas tree for only $145. That's insane!! If you've ever driven by that shopping center and thought "what a dump", then you can picture the inside of Dirt Cheap. It's not just messy and disorganized - there's spilled food on the floor, cracked lotion bottles with leaking contents on shelves, and toys so dirty even Goodwill would turn them down. I don't think the store has been cleaned in years. Forget coronavirus; you're 10 times more likely to leave there with Hep A. So what's to love? Amidst the overpriced and unsalvageable broken appliances, cracked pottery, and lipstick with bite marks are HIDDEN GEMS. we used to love going to Dirt Cheap. It seems like over the last year and with the significant store closures, it's impacted their business model. The pricing (from Dirt Cheap Corporate) is so lazy, and I struggled to find much value in most of their offerings. They have some pieces that were great, but the pricing was so out of whack. Incredibly disappointing to see how sad this store has become. It's very dirty, disorganized, and the poor employees all seemed so sad to be there. The selection may have been good, but it was impossible to find a size in the clothing or linens. If you've ever wanted to hunt, I'd recommend the buns. Hell, there's a Ross a few stores down, and I found the same merchandise at Ross significantly cheaper. I got dragged here by my bestie as her coworker told her it's where clearance items from box stores (Walmart, Target, dollar store, etc) go to die, I mean be sold at even cheaper prices. And as I'm a sucker for a discount, I made my way to the store hoping for the best. Let me help you out by telling you that they have an app. Yes, I know, surprised me too, which you can scan the item to get the price as not everything is where it's suppose to be. However it has to have a que on it to scan it and still many items didn't come up, instead saying to take to cashier for price (I'll speak about that later). From halloween & christmas decor and costumes to garden tools and linen, this place has it all (you just have to dig to find it). Some of the items are refurbished and you may want to go plug it in to make sure that it works as ALL SALES ARE FINAL & NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Checking out made me ask myself how badly do I need the items in my cart as there were three cashiers and 25 people in line (I'm not exaggerating either). However after making it to the cashier that item that said see cashier, which was a 3 piece infant outfit, rang up for .45 (no typo - forty five CENTS), trick or treat bags were .10 and I got a box of Christmas cards that were price $15 in the store for $1.50. So with these type of deals why the three stars you ask - well, I had to basically stalk folks as they were leaving to ask them for their cart (apparently there's a shortage), I asked someone where can I find baby clothes and I was informed that this wasn't his department that I needed to locate the short lady with the pony tail (who I never found), I couldn't get prices on items and when I got to the cashier (after waiting for the 24 people ahead of me) it wasn't a deal ($12 for kids warm up pants?!) Well this is a discount store that takes items from other mega stores that they couldn't sell even after sitting on their discount area & then sells it here at said discount price. The biggest looking area; and where I could see myself actually getting things at is the clothing section as it is easy to try these items on before purchasing. They have a no exchanges or refunds so that makes me Shy away from buying anything electronic even though they have a testing table. I did see some "good" prices in the fact I saw a 300$ crib for $150 ... Though many of the stores this store gets their stock from run random sales similar to what they are selling these products for; only with a return policy so again unless I really need it I'll pass. Where I didn't like the store, beyond the lack of exchange or refund end of things buy I get for thrift types stores, was some of the bedding had salvage stickers on them. Um ... Did they get this out of the bin? They have signs saying do not open the bedding because it's already been quality checked ... Um this says salvage I want to check it before I get home & find it stained to the point I wouldn't even feel ok donating it or giving it to a dog as a blanket to sleep on as I don't know what caused the stain. Also where I really drop a star from 3 to 2. This seems like a store aiming to appeal families, with kids. Brand new store ... No changing table & the floor is concrete in the women's bathroom. That's right nowhere sanitary to change your kids poopy diaper. I saw at least 1 changing table for sale; which if I was a business owner I would have marked one as a loss & at least had one in the women's bathroom .. Discount shopping (much better than Half of Half). Literally stumbled across rare finds and home staples + more. Although some of the isles were a bit chaotic, it wasn't so bad that I couldn't see the majority of the items. From yard equipment and hardware, electronics, shelves, a seafood broiler- heavy duty, I might add... to cosmetics, print supplies, staple kitchen foods, bedding, clothes, brand name shoes like Nike and Steve Madden... it's at Dirt Cheap. Pricing is obviously inexpensive. I walked away with a target shelving unit, cute golden lantern, coffee press, 2 super good quality sleeping pillows and some cosmetic items for $75. The items were in excellent condition. What I liked is they seemed to really keep nicer items, which means fewer and that's helps new inventory fit in the store. If you have time and are in a "looking" mood for good deals then this is your place. The place is huge and has everything from seasonal items to top of the line gadgets / appliances. Like someone else said on a previous review, this isn't a high end department store. Expect a little clutter and long lines on the weekends. You're getting what you pay for...Dirt cheap prices! I haven't visited any of the other stores because this one has so much variety. On average I purchase items that would cost well over $300 for less than $150. This location is very untidy and the employees are not very friendly. I asked for some help with an item and the lady was very rude to me. I AM BEYOND PISSED OFF. Spent a $120.00 here everything I bought looked like it was packaged , never opened. It was behind a counter that only employees can access. I bought an expensive iPhone charger , tired of mine always breaking.. it didn't work. We bought a hard drive.... didn't work. I bought an ifit tracker...the band , the charger was in the box but the actual tracker ..is missing. My husband bought video games we haven't tried those yet. Let's hope they work . I'm so disappointed. This store is a scam factory, let's not even begin to mention that no one helps you ! And when we got to the cashier he didn't want to give us change from his drawer it was so odd, he had the change right there and wanted to call his manager over . I told him 3x you have the change right there , then he finally goes " Ok , I guess you're right" .. ummm?? I will never come here again and will tell everyone else to never come here. It was my first time at this store today and all the reviews I read are pretty right on. The store is dirty, there are things thrown everywhere, no organization whatsoever and their customer service are hit and miss. Two of the employees were very helpful, the rest acted like they absolutely hate their jobs. For the most part, the prices are ridiculous, especially for a store called Dirt Cheap. I found a tube of Loctite glue (that I use for crafting). After scanning it with their app, it was $2.00 more than what it's priced for at other stores. Their clothing seems to be the best deal and I found a few things that were decent prices but not huge discounts by any means. I waited in line to pay for 25 minutes. There were two registers open but one of them was just taking the occasional customer. There were only 3 people in front of me when I got in line and it still took 25 minutes. The cashier that checked me out was extremely frustrated and I didn't blame her one bit. She was trying to scan things that wouldn't scan, the prices that were ringing up weren't what the signs in the store said, it was a mess. I guess maybe I had the wrong intention of this store. From the radio commercials, I was thinking something like Ross and TJ Maxx but when I graced the doors of this store, I was very unpleasantly surprised. I especially thought that because we went the opening weekend that this store would be immaculate and stocked full of great deals... Needless to say, my boyfriend was not a very happy camper when he saw what we were walking into and wanted to know why I would bring him to such a horrible place. Everything here pretty much look like it LITERALLY fell off the truck. Boxes are smashed to hell and most items are wrapped in lots of packing tape. There are signs around that all sales are final on everything electrical so you must try it out first before leaving the store. This made me extremely wary to buy anything electronic in this store. There were weed eaters on the shelf that still had grass on them. I don't know what the standard for this store is at all. It made me wonder if the pairs of boxers labeled $1 each in the front had been worn before or not. I found a Ninja Blender container with blades (don't know where the actual blender part to it was??) with a label that said $150! I bought mine at Walmart on sale for the holiday for $85 last year. The games for kids had obviously been played already and were probably missing pieces. I didn't see any name brand clothes -- though when I was skimming the racks I didn't see anything I particularly liked enough to even look at the tag. This was the second dirt cheap I had been to, and they are ranked 2nd in all the chains (150 or so). FIRST you should know walking into this place it is a DISCOUNT STORE. Even being the 2nd in their chain it is unorganized and mostly unclean in comparison to other big box stores. That being said, I absolutely loved this store. I found everything I was looking for. I got 2 comforters, 2 sheet sets, a rug and a lamp for all under $85. All brand new with tags, no damage. The only complaint I have with this chain is it's hard to know exactly how much something is. Some prices are as marked and some you get an additional percentage off. TIP use their app to scan items, super helpful!!! Some things are a STEAL, some are basically what you'd pay in store...it's hit or miss. I highly recommend their bedding and their pharmacy items. Come with time on your hands! read more

I am very disappointed in this stores policies. There are some great deals at dirt cheap, even if you have to dig through "dirt" to get to the deals. However, I've had several bad experiences. The last and final straw: about 9 other customers and I were digging through heaps of belts, socks, underwear, bras, purses, some new, some used I'm sure, etc. We examined and looked for particular bra sizes and underwear sizes only to be told after more than an hour of searching, that the posted sale prices (actually on the bins, of which I took pictures, before they were snatched down in front of me), would not be honored. After my first visit to this particular store I was not impressed. The store is in complete disarray. There is no order at all whatsoever. This store has become my go to before I hit any other stores. They have what you'd find at a major retailer but crazy cheap ! Everything I've gotten here always works. Even bought a PS4 and it was sealed in the PlayStation box everything was included and it was $160 !!! I find most things that are at Target are here which is my favorite place to shop so I see what's on clearance and most times shortly after I can find it here. This place is great! My personal opinion of course! First of all most things say "salvage". Probably because they feel odd the truck or boxes got squash and they can't show those in stores so this store takes and sells them. I bought two standing lamps, box said $12 but discount was 75% off I ended up paying about $5 something for them. They have a section on the back to try your electronics and they worked perfectly, I was happy! They have a lot of random things marked down and it's great but the lady said you have to come during the week because people who come during the weekend take everything.
