Viacom make's even more and they force you to buy all their programs and drown's you in advertising to boot. I and many other viewer's want to buy what we want. I don't want one penny of my money being paid for programs that I do not want or want to support. Viacom offers only one program that is of interest to us here and Viacom won't sell it to us. We are happy that Suddenlink is standing up to Viacom. Maybe eventually the consumer will get what they want to pay for.

There was this one tech guy that came out and set something up but then it never worked so I called again and this other guy came out and fixed it and we got to talking and he said it was like he was fixing up his messes. "You have to know what you are doing" "I know you're new but come on man" Internet for me is an enjoyable luxury not a need. I literally use it for online gaming and streaming. I've been without it for years before. It's gone up $10. I'm hoping that I can still afford it in the future. But if I have to cut something the internet would be the first thing to go. As much as I enjoy being online it's not a need but a want. The only time it's actually been out for me is when the actual place has an outage but it wasn't their fault at all. There was a bad storm to which I hope the people there were ok. 3 stars cuz it's alright. I stay connected and just have to restart my router a normal amount. They even had the BBB come after them with a lawsuit for price gouging. Honestly I'd choose another provider if you are able or just find a way to use your smart phone. There's an app called net share that allows you to have an unlimited hotspot if you have an unlimited data plan. Also the apartment has free internet with the office so I could always just go there with my laptop, download games and be good to go playing offline like before.

Each time I do my research I end up staying with Grande. Nobody can get close to the 400 Mbps speed, time warner is the fastest @ 50 and at&t brags about their "super fast" 12 Mbps! Grande like all of the other companies has low entry packages that begin to creep up after 6 months so you have to change plans every 6-12 months to keep getting the best deal. This is why they lose a star. Service is better than any I have seen, tech support is in Texas! Technicians give you specific time frames and call before they show up for installations. I am sticking with them but be warned grande, AT&T is putting fiber optic lines in my neighborhood so I will be reviewing my plan as soon as they roll out their new offers.....gotta love free market competition!

We recently moved to Corpus Christi from N/W Indiana & my wife & I decided to switch our cell phone service to Spectrum. Our previous carrier was Comcast Xfinity, and they were a complete nightmare to deal with. I spent 3 1/2 hrs on the phone with Comcast the day before simply trying to unlock our phones, and was given a unlock code. After arriving at the Spectrum store, it turns out the phones were not unlocked & the codes didn't work. Frank Lopez and Monica Musella-Robledo worked with us for well over an hour, most of the time on hold with Comcast, and were finally able to get the job done. I really appreciate the patience of both of them. I strongly recommend anyone needing Cable/internet and cell phone service give Spectrum a try.
