The salon has a fun atmosphere and the set up is cute. Very trendy with a fun and nice staff. My appointments are always exactly when she books them and the staff does a great job at managing clients and respecting their time! There are also two barbers for men that would like to get their hair cut. One side is for the barbers and one side is for the stylist. It is very neat and organized how it set up and each time I come I am genuinely pleased with the services and the final product! I have never had a bad experience here and I appreciate their knowledge.

Unfortunately, the salon has gone completely downhill. My daughter and I have always had good…read moreexperiences here, but our recent experience was terrible. We had to wait more than 20 minutes before anyone greeted us and when they did, they were extremely rude. The last time we were there, I spun a wheel and got a free eyebrow wax. I asked if I could use that. They laughed at me and I couldn't. That was fine. Then my daughter got highlights. I picked her up almost 3 hours later and her hair looked the exact same. ($265) I contacted the salon the next day to ask what we could do about it and I did not hear back. I reached out to them three more times and never heard back again. Very disappointing! I don't know if they have new owners or the customer service just sucks.

While visiting a friend in Wisconsin for some weekend outings, she took me along while she got dolled up for the festivities. She introduced me to the owner and main stylist, Heidi, who was radiating energy that filled the establishment, and which is well reflected in the decor. Many fascinating and fashionable antiques adorn the salon, letting you know you've stepped into somewhere special. She is usually heavily booked because her customers understandably love her work. But she's always willing to accommodate her clients. You can try your luck as a walk in, but I don't recommend it. I was very impressed with the establishment because it functions as a full-service, feel-good station. Stephanie provides esthetician services, including facials and waxing. Neeley creates stunning nail designs with an unimaginable array of colors, and if you've had a long week, Juan is their certified masseuse. Not going to completely bash this place, but here's my honest opinion. The place wasn't so bad…read morewhen the cost was 5 bucks a haircut. You end up going here and leaving with an uneven cut, but then again you get what you pay for. Not a big deal as I fix it up at home with whatever is noticeable. Xpress Hair Salon is staffed with 4 individuals, two of which seem to be decent whom everyone lines up for and the other 2, not so good. The problem here is that everyone waits for the 2 good stylists which can be an hour to two hour wait time depending on what day you go. If you can't stand the wait, then going to the other 2 individuals, well then you got some touching up to do when you get home. Now here's the problem. They just increased their rate from 5 dollars to 10 dollars a haircut for males (probably because they originally only had 3 people on staff). If you're going to increase the rate from 5 to 10 bucks at least do a decent job at cutting hair. The market is so competitive now that for 10 bucks and or maybe a few extra dollars I could get a haircut at a different location where I don't need to go home and fix. So I guess at this point, it isn't the worst place in the world, but I'll be looking to go somewhere else. I've gotten my haircut here for the past 6 to 7 times and have always had to go home and fix and also get ridiculed from friends and family that nothing lines up, but hey at the 5 dollar rate I didn't necessarily care.
