He was the technician responsible for migrating my email to another safer platform on my PC, all done remotely. Can't believe how complicated the work was (given my email situation) but he did it all. And lucky me, Jeff took care of the work without me having to stick around (read that: I got to go to my jobs [read that: earn money] without having to stick around the office). And once the migration was done, Jeff patiently showed me how to navigate my new email system. There were a few follow-up tweaks that he took care of too. I provided him my business laptop with all of my important documents and included my 2010 Microsoft Office Suite that I paid over $100 for at Costco. Everything seemed promising with the situation until I got my laptop back. Apparently, some rare situation occurred while "scrubbing" the computer that wiped everything from my computer. All of my marketing material, invoices templates, financials and clients receipts. I was obviously upset by the situation, but also was also tried to be understanding knowing that *#$% does happen. The worst part was the way Christian handled his big mistake. He also said he would come over to help try and recover the lost documents. He NEVER came back to help despite reaching out to him about it on multiple occasions. Then, I had to contact him to negotiate down the price and still wound up paying $300 somehow. I am pretty sure I could have cleaned everything off in no time flat with no technical experience and could have properly had my serviced for less. I had to spend countless hours re-creating the lost documents as result. It made it even more challenging since I was stuck using the limited Open Office version during the process since Christian wiped off my Office suite from my computer. Christian promised to replace the lost Microsoft Office copy. After much time, he finally sent over a Office version via email (didn't bother trying to meet up in-person to install) and the copy turned out to be invalid. I then followed up with him on multiple occasions to try and get another copy and never heard anything in response. I am STILL with out a replacement copy of Office and am still awaiting a response on how this will be fixed. Overall, very poor customer service, charged for destroying my documents, and showed little to no remorse through his inaction's following the mistake. I do NOT recommend.

To be fair: they did give us a loaner machine while they were trying to find the hard-to-find parts to repair it, but we struggled with it as well. I would have liked to have seen them act faster to resolve the situation, since our business depends so heavily on printing contracts, and do a better job at communicating when you are unable to meet estimated repair time frames. From the beginning, we struggled with this machine, and it was very disruptive to our business, causing employees, who were already dealing with higher than normal volumes, additional stress. 2 more stars for calling me to see what they could do differently next time.

We were having trouble with our old Savin copier; it had jammed badly, and we tried to follow the…read moreinstructions on the inside cover to get it unjammed. The instructions made absolutely no sense at all, so we called the company we'd done business with before. We got nowhere with them even after spending an hour of our valuable time on the phone with them. So I went online and saw the listing for Copy Machine Specialists which looked promising. This was on a Friday, and within five minutes we had an appointment for the following Monday. Wowzie! Scott was right on time, friendly and personable, and he really knows his machines. It took a bit of figuring things out, but Scott was able to get the problem solved. He didn't give up until he got the machine working properly again. He explained everything that he was doing and what the problem could be. He dusted out the lower part of our copier, and made sure the drum wasn't icky with stuff, too. I can't say enough about the quality of service that we received, and we're so happy that we chose to call Scott's company. Scott really knows his stuff, and we wouldn't hesitate to call him again should our copier need something else. His price was extremely reasonable, too. Thank you, Scott!! I used, I believe his name was Andrew, to take my old stuff off my computer because the on/off…read moreswitch wore out and I needed a larger hard drive. I wanted 2 CD ROM drives for copying CDs. He told me he had a case with only one. I said I could live with it. I realize that I had the work done several years ago, but the USED case has been a pain in the ass from the start. I was stupid in that I didn't ask him for an estimate. I'd say he was here for about 2 hours. The new "box" was much smaller and harder to reach than the old tower. Within 10 months, the motherboard was gone. Also, several programs that ran well on my old computer did not work properly after he finished transferring my data. Next problem? Because he used a box discarded by someone else (he has a storeroom full of this crap), the on/off switch stopped working. I took it to 1201 (an excellent repair shop). They fixed a couple of things which I can't recall now and called to say I could save some money if I were to use the reset button to start the computer. I did. Tonight, a power surge wiped that out. I now have a computer that won't start. Back to 1201 I go after paying this total waste of time Mad Dog Computer person $700. I have two recommendations. Don't have this place rebuild or build a computer for you. And, get a Mac, which weathered the power surge with no problem. I much prefer Macs to PCs.

So.... Not sure what happened to this company. They used to be great. Then I was having problems…read morewith my computer they could not fix. They decided to re-install the operating system. I reminded them that I had program data on my C-drive that needed to be saved. But they did not make a backup and wiped out all the information I needed to have saved. The apology I received was "We are very sorry, but at least we learned something from this." And now - and this is important for everyone - since they gave me a new operating system, they made it so I cannot install anything without administrative permissions. As a CPA working with tax and accounting software that update often, this is ridiculous. Right now I have to update my accounting software. By the time I got my boss to drop what he's doing and come to my office to enter the admin password, the accounting software said I aborted the install. So do it all over again, but the accounting software is not very patient and now by the time it's ready to install the updates, my boss is back in his office and here we go again. I've been told that this is something ATS will do on all their clients' computers when they get new computers or setups. Beware CPA firms. You will be wasting two people's billable time just to be able to install required updates on your software if you use this company. Maybe they are all like this. Hopefully our firm will find another IT company soon! Because this is ridiculous.

Over the years we have face about every possible computer problem known to man and these guys had us back up and running about as fast as you can. I can't say it was instantaneous as we have had some bad self-induced computer problems but TOPs is an all you can eat program meaning we pay one price and they fix everything. More recently after starting up a small business, I decided to purchase a newer but used computer. I wanted it optimized and checked for any issues and remembered how pleased I was with Tim's previous work. The new computer was up and running again in no time. When I had looked him up again, I noticed that he also offers Quickbooks consulting services which I was also in need of. After discussing this with him, he offered to do Quickbooks training and help setup my companies' profiles. I decided to give the training sessions a go, and I am so glad I did. Getting one on one, step by step guidance during the process has been unbelievably valuable. I also find his teaching methods to be quite effective. I have a finance degree, so I'm familiar with accounting principles, but I knew one small error in the Quickbooks process could spell disaster down the road. I'm glad I spent a little money up front to learn the software properly instead of having to pay big bucks in bookkeeper and accountant fees to sort things out down the road. In another session or two, I should be up and running, but I'm keeping Tim's number on speed dial. I'll definitely continue to use his services in the future. Thanks again for all the help Tim!
