Do not believe the positive feedback! It's merely fake reviews or false accounts made to look like real people reviewing this place. Here is the real truth. So if you like being taken for ride with your hard earned dollar than by all means but hopefully my experience will teach you a thing or two. This place is known scam artist. I went to get my car repaired after collision. Well 6200 dollars later I have junk part knuckle installed false promise of replaced parts which were never replaced but I still got charged for it. Inside my hood they damaged the airbox/air intake which contacts into the engine and didn't even bother to fix or replace it with factory spec. They claimed they replaced the shock with factory parts which was bs they never even touched it but still charged me for it. I have problem with my steering wheel which is not straight they claim its aliment which is more bs. Avoid this shop like the plague. Do not believe anything that Nakhman Gluzman tells you he is very soft spoken but it is his way of hiding you from the truth. He is liar with so many lies that he cannot keep up with his own lies. He even confused himself in front of me when I confronted him about all this. The place employs none certified mechanics or should I say of the boat Mexican who is a nice guy but definitely no mechanic. This place is unprofessional dirty scam artists and criminals that should be behind bars. IE: The idiot has Vodka bottle of Russian Standard sitting in his office. How can you repair cars when you're drunk half the time? I am in the process of dealing with police and small claims court about my issues and hopefully I will see some of money back. read more

I had an excellent experience with this place. When I first called, the owner picked up and readily gave me a rough estimate - which was not high at all. Usually when I call an auto shop or mechanic, a grumpy man picks up and I feel crappy for even calling and disturbing them. I was encouraged to bring my car for an exact estimate at my convenience. I came to the shop on a random day and my car was taken in on the spot. I got my car back quickly; the owner himself even picked me up so I didn't have to take the train or look for transportation to the shop. I was really worried about the color matching due to the unique color of my beloved m3, the Laguna Seca Blue. The car was washed and upon being lovingly dried, taken outside in the light so that I could inspect it. Jose, who did the body work, was very nice and listened to all of my instructions. He remembered to put on all of the supplied parts and everything came out very nicely. The aftermarket CSL style bumper was especially taken care of and fitted, it wasn't just slapped on (which is what happened to me with another shop; my bumper even fell off and the shop claimed it was my fault because I didn't supply some clips). Before I left, they helped me with a seat in the back that would not fold up - it was quickly fixed at no charge. Finally, when I drove home I noticed my car had even been polished and the swirl marks I had on the hood were gone. Perfect. I will be going back to Direct Drive again! read more

I found this mechanic on Car Talk site... just like a few others, but after calling each one, Direct Drive left me with the best impression. Oh, was I right!!! First off, Pep Boys charged me $100 to tell me that I need the timing belt replaced (some $450 job). Direct Drive guys took a look ( for free) and found out that my tensioner/guide for the timing belt broke and the belt just slipped off. It was a $12 piece, and everything was back to perfect. I cannot praise them enough for my first experience. I just had a serious problem with my engine. Basically parts of it had to be replaced. All quotes were passing $5000 mark, where Direct Drive assured me that they can do it just under $3000 AND within a week! They delivered on their promise... Their estimates are REAL estimates, and in my case they even came under. They even picked me up from the subway stop to take me to the shop. This is just a truly honest, hard working, knowledgeable, and personable business where it is apparent that they care about their customers and their work and truly enjoy what they are doing. My car was in a car accident and was badly damaged (the insurance company appraised the damaged car as a total loss). I've been servicing my car with Naum for the last 8 years, since I've bought it as a used car in 2003. So when the car had to be towed from the place of accident I did not have to think twice where to go. Naum let me keep my car in his shop for a week waiting for the insurance appraisal. The repairs took about a week - exactly as he promised and about $300 less than the initial rough estimate. The car runs the same as before and I am completely satisfied with all the repairs and painting that have been done. I have never had a problem with this shop! As others mentioned it is difficult to find an honest mechanic. I'm lucky because I found one. I know that I can trust Naum - he honestly tells what parts need to be replaced and which ones can still be left in place for a good period of time. Come and check it out for yourself! read more

I was referred to Direct Drive by another Auto shop to get my car's AC fixed few years ago. After going to the Ford dealer twice costing me $1600 and it is still broke after few months, I was skeptic when they quoted me $800 to fix it. The owner explained to me the reason it is so much is because he is giving me new parts. It has been four years now, my AC is still working. :) With time, I can tell they were honest with me. So last week when another auto shop told me that I need to change all four struts on my car because they were rusted. I didn't trust them. So I went to Direct Drive Diagnostic Center. They checked my car out and said it is in good condition. I didn't need to change them at all. They showed me the struts. They have minor rusts on them. The owner told me even if they changed them, they will be rust in 6 months. It is hard to find honest and knowledgeable mechanics these day. I am so glad that I found them. read more

This time I was hit on a highway and the other car left the scene, leaving me with a big dent and a scratch going across the whole side of the car. Going to Direct Drive was like a blessing in disguise!!! It didn't take long to fix my car and for a change I didn't feel like I'm being schemed. They were very patient and professional with me. I've been dealing with Direct drive for about a year now. The service provided is top notch as far pricing, servicing, credibility, skills etc. I've never been so comfortable with a mechanic before until i met these guys. Their knowledge makes you comfortable with the process. On 3/29 my car was rear ended consequently crashing the vehicle in front creating a sandwich effect. On 3/30 Direct Drive picked up my car from Staten Island, dealt entirely with my insurance and kept me up to date with the entire process - i didn't have to call for updates or what not because they took it to their own hands and provided such service. I came here because my friend recommended this place and I left with my car problem resolved (it was making an awful screeching noise) and I also left feeling very satisfied with the service.
