    I wouldn't recommend Direct Air. 3 years ago I had them install a brand new air handler. 2 people came to install: 1 person that seemed like a young trainee that did all the work and another older gentleman that seemed to be overseeing him. After the job was done I noticed that air was leaking all around the unit and mentioned it. All they did was come back and tape up the entire unit (as shown). I thought this was normal and didn't know any better. Over the last 3 years I've had various AC companies come to do maintenance. Every technician that looks at the unit is shocked at how a new unit can look like this. I had an AC company come out last October to do a routine cleaning. After inspection the technician showed me what seems to be mold, which is understandable because this unit leaks air and even water along its panels pretty badly. After his report, I immediately called Direct Air out to the house to complain about what I felt was a bad initial installation that was leading to the exterior and interior condition: the air leakage, the water leakage, the pictures of the mold. The Direct Air tech looked it over and then proceeded to give me a cleaning quote of over $1500. I explained to him that I'm not looking for a cleaning quote; I needed Direct Air to fix the initial bad installation that was causing all these problems. His started explaining that the humidity in Miami can be a cause but I said I've lived in this house for 40 years and never had a problem with an air handler until the one Direct Air installed. He then suggested I may not be keeping up with maintenance. I requested a manager, who then came came out a couple days later to also look at the unit; he kept mentioning that they weren't mold experts and can't know for sure if it was mold or not. I kept asking if air leakage is normal all around the unit as well as the visible condensation on the outside of the unit. He could not give me an answer to this but would not agree that a bad initial installation by Direct Air could be the cause of the interior and exterior issues. He too could only offer me routine cleaning services for over $1500, which I respectfully declined. I'm not an AC expert, yet every AC technician I've called from other companies have had a shocked reaction to seeing the air handler and says it was not installed properly. I just wanted to share my experience. I'm now looking for an AC company that can fix or possible even install another new air handler, which would be a shame after only 3 years of having this one.

    I called in for a simple duct cleaning and the team over at Direct Air Conditioning went above and beyond. They made sure to make the entire experience as painless and effortless as possible, while still being extremely transparent with me about the costs. I first met with a gentleman by the name of Matt who came over to give me a free estimate. He came wearing gloves and a mask and was very polite following all of the CDC guidelines within my home. A few days later I had the pleasure of having Drew and William who did a killer job explaining to me what the duct cleaning entailed, and making sure that no stone was left unturned when cleaning my air ducts. The difference in the air quality of my home now is NIGHT & DAY. I could not have asked for a better HVAC company to work with, they definitely have my business in the future.

From the very start of beginning the process of finding the right AC system, Emmanuel was extremely responsive to all texts and messages, at basically all times of the day. I had a million inane questions and concerns; he answered all of them. We narrowed the list to three 5-ton options. The most expensive one was of my choosing, an American Standard unit, and the other two were a Rheem and a GrandAire (which I hadn't heard of before, it's a subsidiary of Carrier). He recommended strongly that I go with the cheapest one, the GrandAire. He was absolutely correct! It saved thousands of dollars, and it works extremely well. He added a new Nest thermostat, as well. I couldn't be happier. The [minimum 2-year] warranty that he backs up his work with has to be one of the best. If you're in the market for any HVAC work, do not hesitate to hit up Emmanuel and Island Breeze Air.

He is incredibly communicative, reliable, proactive, and truly professional from start to finish. In addition to the HVAC installation, Emmanuel and his team also repaired one of my bathroom exhaust fans and fully replaced the other, handling everything efficiently and with great attention to detail. He managed every aspect of the project seamlessly, coordinating with my condo building's property management, securing insurance documentation, and taking care of all necessary permits. His experience really shows. He thoroughly inspects everything, walks you through the process, and listens carefully to any concerns. The installation was spotless. Emmanuel and his team are extremely clean and respectful, leaving the space even better than they found it. His knowledge of HVAC systems is impressive, and he is fully hands on throughout the entire job. He also speaks both English and Spanish, which is a huge plus. One of the things I appreciated most was the transparency. His quotes are reasonable and accurate, with no hidden or unexpected charges. On top of that, he is extremely responsive.     I have had them come twice based on positive reviews. the first time for a broken fan in a air…read morehandler. they did the repair - a bit pricey but the result was good. I called them a couple of weeks ago for a different issue. The technician came out and said the compressor needed to be replaced. The estimate was for over $2k. As this was a relatively new unit, 2-3 years old, i thought that was an exorbitant price considering the parts, not the labor, were under warranty. i got a second opinion from a company a friend recommended. That diagnosis was totally different. NOT a compressor issue but a leak requiring a new condenser coil and compressor line. the cost including gas replacement was less than half the Panther estimate. I had the other company do the repair which resolved the problem. I let Panther know of the alternative diagnosis and the successful repair. I asked for a refund on the initial visit considering the erroneous diagnosis and estimate. I have yet to hear back. Was it a poor or lazy diagnosis or worse overcharging by Panther? I don't know but would not recommend based on this experience.

That's Carolina and the rest of the team at Panther AC. They're the ones who are going to do everything in their power to help you out and make everything okay. And oh, did they do just that. I learned of Panther AC while going through the absolute worst experience with a vendor in my entire life. I was looking through that company's reviews on another site and found a customer who had the same AC problem I did, scrolled through their other reviews, and found they called Panther AC who resolved their issue. Our situation was this: The coils of the exterior unit needed to be replaced on our 14-month-old AC unit but the piece was on backorder for 6-8 weeks (this was in May, but it was still pretty hot out). That other AC company came out every 3-4 DAYS to refill the freon in our unit because it was leaking and once it was depleted, the AC wouldn't cool our house anymore. During Summer in Miami? No, bro. We were going on vacation soon for a week and a half and needed a resolution because I did not trust that company to come by while we were out and get the job done. Plus, what if the freon ran out earlier than expected and our pets were just baking in a hot house until one of their techs came by for a refill? The company stopped taking our calls and I had no faith they'd help so I went hunting for a solution. Panther AC has now entered the chat. I asked my husband to call them and explain our situation. Carolina listened to the whole ordeal. Eventually, the 3 of us were talking through possible solutions (for starters: try to have them take over the open claim we had with Lennox, call their support to see if there was anything they could do, and see if they can find a vendor that had the part in stock). We struck out with Lennox support; Carolina couldn't find the coils from any of their vendors. We were then scheduled for a tech (Frank) to come out to inspect the whole unit and make sure the diagnosis from the other company was correct (thankfully, it was). That same Thursday, Carolina called us to discuss the results. I said I was willing to replace the whole unit, inside and out, and take the financial hit if that's what it took to resolve this soon since we had been in this situation for a month and counting. She was talking about having someone come out on Monday (I think it was the owner, who was on a flight back to Miami at the time) to look at the whole unit, get some more info, and look to install Tuesday (this part's a bit hazy so I might be wrong). We were scheduled to fly out Wednesday and I wanted a little more buffer time in case anything went wrong. I said I could get her the model numbers for both units and read them out to her to help expedite the process. Within minutes, she found a new exterior unit (newer model, too) that was compatible with our indoor unit (why couldn't the other company do that?!). Install was set for Monday. Frank and another tech (I forgot his name!) came by on time, swapped out the unit, and made sure everything was set before leaving and I've been freezing ever since. Our electricity bill actually went down by $30 the month after the install, too! I cannot express how glad I am to have come across this company. They brought my stress level from 130 down to -10. They're 100% honest and transparent with you, they're capable of empathy, willing to work with you to find solutions, and they don't try to upsell you on 10 additional services, nor do they overcharge you. And unlike other companies in Miami that used to be family-owned, when you call, you get someone local and not an outsourced support staff. I HIGHLY recommend Panther AC. They're scheduled to come out for additional work we wanted done and it's good to know that someone competent is coming to do the job and I don't have to babysit them and stress about it. Thank you all for stepping in and going above and beyond to save the day! I cannot thank you enough.
