I can't say enough good things about MEM. I contacted them at 7am via Yelp because of a house-wide electrical issue. Within 45 minutes (before they opened), they had called me, spent 10 minutes explaining potential causes/costs/outcomes and scheduled a same day appointment with a 1 hour window, with text confirmation and updates. The technicians showed up on-time, we're INCREDIBLY helpful and explained everything to me in a simple way that I could understand. It turns out my issue is with FPL, but still they gave me advice on how to handle this situation, tested everything and even added missing screws to my fusebox that was loose. Several pluses here. First, they care, which, in this day and age, is a rarity. The company communicates effectively, the agent arrived on time and took care of our home. They offered their free estimate and completed the work well and quickly. The kinks to be worked out are more technical than anything else, since the automated reservation system issued three texts, three emails and a voice message to confirm the appointment later in the day. He emailed the quote and the email said if I had questions to co tact them. I had a couple of simple questions. Tried contacting them 4 times. They never responded. Very fishy about their charges. Now I don't know if it's the company or the electricians being fishy. The appointment was made for an hour to come out here for $200. After coming out here for 10 mins, the electrician was managed to troubleshoot a very easy problem. Then when I was trying to tell him to check up the lights in kitchen, he told me he's already finished all his assigned job and everything else would be additional $100... They WILL try to fish you I'll tell you that. They tell uncertain answers all the time. They will charge you $200-300 just to come out and have a look at the problem and if they can't do anything about it, there's that, $300 down in the drain and you still have to hire some other guy to come fix it. Being fast to come out here to charge you that $200 "service charge" just to look at what the problem is and then tell you they can't do anything about it just won't cut it for me. read more

I had an issue with my office air conditioner periodically throwing the electrical breaker.  We could reset the breaker and it would be fine for a few days and then the air conditioner would stop cooling and it would be a thrown breaker again  This went on for a couple of weeks before I called WireMasters.  They had a technician out the very next day.  He seemed most knowledgeable and went right to work.  First he took the cover off the air conditioner unit and ran some test and then came into the building and took the cover off the breaker panel and inspected the wiring.  In less than an hour he determined the problem was a faulty breaker, gave me a complete run down on what the situation was, replaced the breaker, reassembled everything and was on his way.   Often service people try to take advantage of women's lack of knowledge of things mechanical.  I hate that.  This was a speedy, no B.S., experience.  The technician was most capable, he didn't leave a mess in the office and the price was reasonable (considering the cost of plumbers and electricians these days).  This company has won my favor with a simple service call. read more

These guys are the best, and the most professional electricians in Miami. They are reliable, prompt and competent. They installed a new circuit breaker unit . If I had listened to the electrician who the building recommended, it would have been installed in the wrong place and not up to code. Alain, advised me on everything. He installed new lighting in my bedroom, checked all of my outlets and repaired several outlets that were installed incorrectly by people who my condominium association recommended. I not only recommend this company highly, I would give them a 6 star rating if I could. They gave me estimates before they started any work and honored each estimate, even if the job was more complicated than anticipated. This was the first time in many years that I have felt confident in people who I have hired. I have lived in Miami for a very long time and no matter how hard I have tried to learn Spanish to survive here, I have failed. Alain, Jimmy and Harold are bi-lingual. They dealt with the ridiculous, strict and abusive management of my condominium. The condo management has made it difficult for me to hire anyone that is not on their list, almost everyone on their list only speaks Spanish. Many businesses refuse to work in my condominium complex, because they have been harassed by the management and made to wait for long periods of time. Miami Electric Masters handled the entire situation beautifully. Their office staff contacted the management and arranged everything in advance. I did not have any stress. POOR IS PUTTING IT MILDLY About the only efficient act performed by Miami Electric Masters (MEM) was Freddy's almost immediate arrival after my initial call to claim entitlement to their exorbitant $197 charge for ringing my doorbell. Oh and yes, he did quickly determine that my outdoor electrical outlets were "hot" and I simply needed to push the ground fault interrupter on each of the patio outlets. My first issue was the failure of my low voltage transformer to illuminate any of the ten or so outdoor light fixtures mounted atop my patio screen enclosure. The transformer had previously worked fine. Freddy's diagnosis was that perhaps the bulbs were burnt out. ALL TEN OF THEM? Unlikely. Or maybe the wiring got corroded. He made no effort to verify his theory or to at least write up a proposal to rewire the connections. "Buy a new transformer" was Freddy's solution. I have no idea how to install a new transformer and Freddy explained they would have to charge me another $197 service call to return after I bought it. Why not credit me with that charge on his return. "That's not what we do," he explained. The second issue was a pool cascade feature on my swimming pool had stopped working. The circuit breaker for that feature would short out as soon as I turned on the cascade. Freddy DID quickly recognize the problem, pointing out a burned out pool motor that operated this cascade feature. But MEM doesn't carry such motors and, as with the transformer, it was up to me to purchase a new pump motor and install it myself; I have no idea how to install such a motor and Freddy again explained that MEM would have to charge me another $197 service call to return after I bought a new motor, because MEM's policy appears to be that customers must pay for each time they park their truck out front! A third issue for my electrical needs was that a circuit breaker that operates one of my kitchen outlets would occasionally short out. I had identified this as number 12 on my panel. Freddy simply observed that I had overloaded this circuit by using it for my refrigerator, a toaster and a coffee maker. Freddy's fix for this was a costly rewiring of my circuits to add a separate breaker for the refrigerator. Otherwise, he suggested I unplug the toaster or coffee maker while using one or the other. Nonsense! First, the tripping of the circuit breaker was sporadic, and often did not occur while using all three appliances simultaneously. Further, Freddy did nothing to test the load of the breaker in question. A final electrical issue involved my swimming pool's salt chlorinator that had malfunctioned; the manufacturer had suggested to me over the phone that it appeared to be a connection problem due to a loose wire somewhere. Freddy quickly advised that MEM does not deal with pool equipment and declined my request that he try to at least trace the connections from the clearly marked circuit breaker to the chlorinator device. Thus, not one of the four issues I presented to Freddy got fixed and he was gone, along with my check for $197, about 15 minutes after he had so promptly arrived. Oh, he did offer a 10% discount on any further call if I submitted a review, unmistakably, though not explicitly, inferring that my review be a glowing one. Here it is. The technician Kent came and spent about 15 mins to fix our minor electrical problems. And it costs us $259+3%credit card fee. Not sure if it's the norm in the United States or Miami, but I found it quite expensive. However, I'd still give 4 stars because of its great customer service. It was easy to make an appointment and the the technician came on time, solved the problem efficiently and was professional. I also received email from them clearly stating everything Kent has done at my apartment. If I paid $259 to get a technician to come on time, being professional in Miami, I think it's still worth it. (You know what I mean - how people act in Miami sometimes.) One thing they didn't mention when I made appointment was that if you pay with credit card, a 3% service fee will be charged. The receipt stated: "Diagnostic fee for technician (up to one hour). Note: Includes small/minor repairs (outlets, switches, etc.) Technician trouble shot circuit for bedroom found loose wire in panel. Checked 2 fixtures in the living room & dinning room . We had an issue with a breaker that kept tripping and they were able to fit us in for the very next day which was great. A master electrician arrived promptly and fixed the issue. They send you emails to confirm your appointment and send you copies of your receipt via email as well which is very convenient. Have been using Miami Electrical Masters for 4 years, BUT NEVER AGAIN! Set appointment for Chris to meet with another Contractor to work on four outdoor outlets that needed to be installed in order for this other contractor to do his job. I also had a small lighting job that needed to be completed and was told that I would be sent samples of lights to choose from. Three weeks later I get a invoice for lighting, no selection just an invoice, no estimate or invoice for the four outlets that need it installed ASAP for the other contractor to finish his job. So I tried calling this company and ended up getting an answering service every time you call them there's nobody in their office it's just an answering service, and got no reply from messages left. When I send an email to the company supposedly the owner of the company calls me and start giving me a lot of excuses about Chris mess this up, Chris had Covid, Chris is off this project. blah blah blah .. So the owner tells me of a Friday afternoon he will figure out what's happening and get back to me. I expressed to him over and over this was a time sensitive job and I needed these outlets installed ASAP. One week later I get a call from the owner again telling me now there is a new technician assigned to this project and he needs to come out to the premises to look and see what is needed. Mind you when Chris came out four weeks ago it was a special meeting arranged between the electrical company and the other contractor that needed the outlets installed so they could be shown what was needed. Now (4 weeks later) the owner is telling me that the new Electrician is going to come out and see what is needed, but he does not know what is needed because I don't have my other company there to show him what is needed. And now the owner tells me well we're going to get an estimate and we will get it to you but it will be five more days before I receive an estimate to have four outlets installed. This makes it a total over five weeks from when I first had an appointment with this company and they still do not have an estimate, and cannot provide me with an estimate to install four outlets. I have really enjoyed working with Christopher and Alex in the past they were always very professional and did a great job, but dealing with this company on the phone and with the owner has been nothing but a nightmare and now I am forced to find another electrician to get this job done, that should've been done three weeks ago. Please think twice before hiring this company, the customer service has really gone down hill, and it reflects on the owners lack of urgency in helping customers. When you constantly have to go through an answer company, and get no return calls, you can see the quality of company you're dealing with. If I could have choosing zero stars I would have. read more

Very disappointed with them. Initially was very pleased with them. They were responsive, promptly did the job. No issues. A few days later I realized a portion of the job needed to be fixed. I texted them. Again, they promptly responded saying they wouldn't have a problem coming back to fix the job. They stated they we busy. I understood and was initially very patient. Fast forward over a month, I have sent various messages. I get a response but never get added to the schedule. I was forced to hire another electrician to come by and fix the job as it was inhibiting progress on another portion of the project. I would like to add the fix was less than 10 mins of work but either way I had to pay another electrician to do the work. read more

If I could give this company zero or negative stars, I would.... We saw a ton of (FAKE) reviews recommending them so gave them a call... beware of all the scammy positive reviews-- these people are NOT to be trusted. I called and had a nice guy come out and give me a reasonable estimate then I had to hunt them to get that estimate emailed to me so we could begin the job (and I was under a tight deadline!). When they emailed an estimate it was more than what I was originally told, so i had to call and speak to the owner to get it back to what they had agreed on site. Scheduling them was a complete nightmare I won't get into. Finally, they sent another (different) electrician from the company to my house for the job. He then told me he would not do the job because it's an older place and he wanted me to upgrade the WHOLE electrical to do so (even though I had agreed and signed a separate waiver releasing them from any liabilities for work at my place?).. I obliged and said they could fix just what was necessary, which jumped my estimate from $600 to $2100.... So he left without completing the job to order the parts. Again, I had to chase them down for that written estimate and the scheduling thereof. When I got the estimate in, it had now jumped to nearly $8,000. WTF. I was outraged and called the electrician, who casually said it could just as easily be done for $3,600, which is an incredible difference in price. So which is it??? It's like they don't know what they're doing and are just stringing people along with a very messy and upsetting operation. Finally, we had to cancel the whole thing and get someone else to do it. THANK GOD I came to my senses before they wasted any more of my time. Their customer service was horrible too. After dealing with the electrician my landlord had hired (he cancelled on me 3 times, after I waited for hours), I researched a company that would show up on time. And show up on time they did. The technician gave me all sorts of options for fixing a broken hot water heater I had. He was up front about all the costs and advantages and disadvantages to fixing it. This company provided amazing service. I called the office and the staff was very friendly, they were able to get a technician out within 2 hours! The electrician, Juan, arrived and was very knowledgable and nice. I needed to have a comcast cable run through the attic and into an outlet. Juan called for some additional help because it was a two man job, and Jose (The Warehouse Manager) drove all the way from Miami to Pembroke Pines to help! It was a tough job, they had to crawl through the attic and cut some holes into the dry wall in order to run the cable, but they got it done! They also patched up the holes and vacuumed the floor and left everything clean. Comcast would have charged me DOUBLE the price.
