I really wanted to like this place, but it did nothing for me. This is def a hole in a wall establishment, so prepare not to find a seat at peak times. My fiance and I ordered at the kiosk, and our burgers came out in a decent time, but our shakes took forever. To the point we finished our burgers not wanting them to get cold. It was very annoying not having something to wash your food down, and the burgers were salty. Then our donuts came still no shake, and the donuts were small ridiculously sweet with lackluster breading. We waited an additional 15 mins after the donuts came out for our shakes. The person making them was apologetic, but because he was so overwhelmed, the shake wasn't blended well and had huge chunks at the bottom. Sadly, the shake was the best thing I had. Vibes: Great, playful, colorful and fun Food: I got a burger (single) with fries. Fries were fantastic and perfectly crispy. The burger was a lot smaller than I expected (even for a single). Not especially memorable in any way, but still enjoyed it. Staff: Also great. I went around what seemed to be rush hour at lunch time. The place was packed but the staff was calm and collected. Took maybe 10 mins to get my food after I ordered. The place was crammed which was not ideal. Only 3-4 small tables in a narrow room. The machines where you place your orders are in the rear so it formed a huge line the entire length of the space leading back to the entrance. Drinks also were limited. Wish they had Diet Coke. Donuts looked amazing but smaller than I imagined. Will prob be back to try them. read more

I was outside Dipped and Smashed on a Friday night around 1:30AM, waiting for my Uber. I was telling my friend who was visiting that another burger place that recently opened was my favorite burger in town, when the owner of Dipped and Smashed overheard me and confronted me about my opinion. He was a really nice guy and I explained I actually hadn't tried Dipped and Smashed before, as it was on the opposite side of town from where I lived. The owner ran inside and came right back out with 2 free smash burgers, one for me and my friend. Absolutely unreal customer service, and he insisted I try it before getting in my Uber so he could hear my opinion. The burger was delicious, cooked to perfection with crispy edges, grilled onions, and a delicious sauce. I will 100% be coming back to try it again and couldn't recommend this place enough! read more

Doughnut, milkshake, hot dog and burger shop. They are doing a "soft opening", right now. Tried out the single smashburger ($5.95), cheese fries ($4.95) and Mexican Coke ($3.25). Also ordered two doughnuts, which are made fresh-to-order. It's much like the burger at other smashburger places, but I do find the thicker dill pickles are far superior and the fries were great. Highly recommend you try this, my verdict is a 8.6 out of 10 for the burger alone and the doughnut is really good, too. Now excuse me while I fall asleep at my keyboard. read more

The wait time is extremely long, horrible customer service, the food isn't all what they make it seem like , the burgers are mush, the hot dogs fall apart they use cheap bread , all that money invested in lights and decorations , should at least put a couple bucks more towards the buns ! I came here with my husband for late lunch this past Saturday. When we arrived, we were disappointed there wasn't any seating available inside the restaurant. We decided to take a walk around the area and come back and it would empty out enough by the time we returned ... and it did! :) I ordered the hot dog with cheese + cheese fries and of course, I had to order the 2 pack of donuts (customized with peanut butter sauce and Cinnamon Toast Crunch for hubby and hot fudge and Oreo cookie crumbs for me). He ordered the burger with regular fries. The food was soo good! Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the shakes even though they looked mouth-watering. I'm lactose intolerant. :( The only reason why I didn't give them a 5-star rating is because we had to continue getting up to go to the counter to ask for utensils and extra napkins. Food was good. The guy at the front was nice. I ordered 5 burgers, one hotdog, 3 orders of fries for pick up. Then when we got there we ordered 6 donuts and 3 shakes. The food was ready. We got donuts in about 5-10 minutes. But the milkshakes took about 30 minutes. By the time we ate the food it was just as cold as the shakes. Not really ideal. Just a heads up if you want a milkshake. Maybe order that first and then go back to order your food. We waited so long that our clothes and hair smelled like the place. Best ice cream in Hoboken. I've been to ALOT of ice cream places in NYC/NJ and I can confidently say this is consistently my favorite. Homemade, incredible flavors, and really cheap prices.
