Everyone loves a corny roadside attraction. This is a great self guided tour. So many cool sites to see. There are photo opportunities everywhere. So much fun from Giant Heads to getting into a carriage with a giant praying mantas pulling it instead of horses. We spent hours. Great for kids BUT forget that my husband and I are in our 50's and we had a blast. Speaking of a blast. They have a bigfoot show that requires audience participation. Everyone fills super soakers and then let the water fly. Let the kid inside of you have fun. The artist and owner Mark Cline is the coolest person I know. He even writes and makes his own comic book novels. He also does a ghost tour that we will plan to do next trip Make sure you stop by the gift shop. He has his book and lots of other great stuff

This place was quirky and oh so much fun! I have been wanting to come here for a long time and it did not disappoint. There is so much attention to detail--there are dinosaurs in the trees, little fun surprises, and an oddness I just appreciated. Tips: Do go to the bathroom before you get there--there are only porta potties.:) You may want to bring extra clothes for your kids just in case they get in a water fight with Big Foot!

Perfect getaway for the kids. The staff is so friendly and the owner is awesome. We had fun on the super speaker battle with big foot and the awesome monster maze! Our kids love this va the natural bridge by at least 100 X

Supreme Roadside Attraction!! The newest oeuvre from Mad Scientist of Fun Marc Cline, Dinosaur Kingdom II combines elements of the now-defunct DK I and some of Cline's other early work. Where else in the world are you going to find perfidious Yankee soldiers being eaten by the very Dinosaurs they strived to enslave and turn against the South? This ignominious episode from American history has been kept from the public... until now! There are surprises to delight you around every turn. All in all, an excellent way for the three of us to spend $36 and a thoroughly enjoyable morning!

We love finding the weird wherever we travel, so my kids (7 and 13) were excited about this stop on our way to the Historic Triangle. After spending the morning at Natural Bridge State Park, we arrived at Dinosaur Kingdom, and my kids were hooked by the kitschy overload before we even hit the ticket booth. We all laughed our way through the entire park, and for once I didn't have to threaten my children to look like they were having fun and liked each other for pictures. If you appreciate irreverent folk art and don't mind a few funhouse-style thrills, this is a great place to spend an hour or so. My kids have already asked when we can come back.

This place is a lot of fun to go to. They have a lot of interactive things for kids and adults to do. The big foot water gun fight is hysterical. If you get a chance to go you should definitely give it a try.

The artist that created this experience has a very amazing mind. Don't want to give away too much, but worth the experience at least once. The pictures don't do this place justice. We laughed throughout the entire walk through the trail. Make sure to scan the YouTube that are at some of the sculptures.

I would rate higher if I could!!! My family absolutely loved this place. We were in and out in a hour with is perfect for little kids. If you leave you can come back that day how great. It's so cool seeing all the art work and creativity that goes into it. The best part is taking the water guns and hitting big foot! I mean how cool is that for the kids!!! It's definitely worth it. We got the tickets with the three pack of the attractions and we enjoyed this one the most!

WHAT A WEIRDLY MAGICAL PLACE. This was by far the best vacation I've ever had. We caught a "Bigfoot sighting" which was just a man in a suit who runs around spraying everyone with a water gun. The mining town gave us a chance to walk into each house and building. And the statues were nonsensical. I had tears from laughing.

Very entertaining. Life changing experience. The fight with bigfoot was very cool. We met the owner and he was very kind and engaging.

This place was exactly what we expected! Fun, family entertainment. Dinosaurs meet the Civil War - what more can you ask for? Cute, interactive displays in the town and a forest full of dinosaur/Civil War scenes.

Ned provided us with great information about the history of the town, the railroad (although some of that was incorrect as he kept saying Raleigh instead of Norfolk as it pertained to the railroad and it kept saying that one of the railway companies "left" when in fact, they were merged. Maybe this wouldn't have mattered so much except someone in our group was very familiar with the railroad) But Ned was very personable and you could tell he loved history and as we do too we really enjoyed his tour. The food on the tour was fairly varied and unique to the town (a must!) and it was great to hear the back story of the ownership of the restaurants. (I was a little worried when at the first two restaurants we were served seafood dishes, a seafood bisque and shrimp and grits as one person in our group doesn't really like seafood and I think this is a risky choice for a tour. Also at Chocolate Paper we were given two mediocre Asher chocolates to try instead of some of their more expensive and more delicious Debrands chocolates.) One person in our group thought there wasn't enough food and thought another restaurant or two should be added. I tend to agree when compared to the cost of this tour against other tours I've taken. Had the cost been a little lower I think the amount of food would've been fine. All in all, a great tour though. Ned really was a great guide, I hope he leads more tours, I really learned a lot!

We had an hour at each stop which was ok but would have liked a little more time. Probably would have been better to have more time at the first 3 and eliminate the 4th one. We did the 151 tour previously and the choices were better imo but the drive to get there was longer. they do not assist with reservations at the wineries so you are on your own with that and there is no estimated time frame provided as to when you may be at each stop so making a reservation is pretty difficult. Wineries super busy in the fall so reservations are helpful but not necessary. Bus was super bumpy and curvy winding roads so if you are prone to car sickness you may wish to reconsider. I've…read morebeen in and around Staunton my entire life, and loved to be able to go into one of the old town houses. The guide goes over the history of the house and of Charlotte Spotts DeBaun Coffman, a local figure in the history of Staunton, who owned the home and lived there from 1901 to 1988. The Victorian era embellishments in the house are beautiful, with detailed ceilings, doors, floors, and stained glass. The furniture, decor, and odds and ends they've chosen make the house cozy and interesting. None of Charlotte's original furniture is in the house, but what's there now fits the style of her era, and most of it is based around the Victorian time frame. Don't forget to say hello to the duckling for me! You can tell that the owner and guide, Kevin, truly loves the house and is doing a wonderful job keeping a vital part of history alive. He treats Charlotte's memory with dignity and respect, and shows off the house with obvious pride. They also host special events like a Holiday Tea or a Murder Mystery night, which I'd love to attend some day. Tours are available on an appointment basis - if you plan on visiting the Woodrow Wilson House and Museum down the street, give them a call and see if a time slot is available. We paid $15 a person, which I never mind spending on something like this. If you'd like to visit Charlotte's grave, she and her family members (and both husbands!) are in the nearby beautiful and historic Thornrose Cemetery. Enter from Thornrose Ave and take a right; circle past the large mausoleum and the plots will be on your left. Look for the large "Spotts" stone - the markers are all right by the road.
