Tried this place for the first time yesterday. It sits in the Safeway plaza on Jarvis and Newark blvd. They have a variety of pastas, burgers, sandwiches, and salads to choose from. Since it was my first visit, I wasn't sure what to get since everything sounded so good. Decided to get the San Franciscan burger. Food came out really quickly and it was fresh off the grill. Their fries are crunchy. The sourdough bread was toasted perfectly. A+ customer service. You order at the register and then sit down with your number. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Very clean interior. The table we sat at was recently cleaned and spotless. Will definitely return to try other menu items! read more

There's a first time for everything and my visit here was the first and the last. The young lady cashiering was sweet but food was a thumbs down for me. I ordered their seafood linguine which looks SOOO promising but it was VERY watery, no flavor, absolutely no salt or seasonings and it basically tasted like water with a hint of clam water and instead of asking for a refund cuz I literally only took two bites, I decided to take it home and spruce it up myself in which I give myself 5 stars lol. My mom bought their mushroom Swiss burger with fries which was super basic and didn't have those mushroom Swiss burger flavors but the fries were fresh and tasted good. We also ordered their cheesy garlic bread for an appetizer but the guy brought garlic bread with some parm cheese on top and we asked if we could get the cheese melted cuz it was sprinkled fresh on there but after microwaving the bread it came out so hard it was not edible -_- read more

Did not get a good vibe from this spot. Not friendly service unless you are a regular. The garlic bread was burned, salad was basic and lasagna was ridiculously sloppy. Would not recommend. I always pass by this place since I work close by. And decided to do a pick up order . I got the seafood linguine w/extra sauce . I asked for red crushed pepper on the side not inside but they put it in my pasta. It's a little too spicy for me . I usually put very little on there . But other then that it was delicious and super saucy. I would get it again but make sure they don't add red crushed pepper. I also ordered garlic bread and it was okay. I won't order that again. Never have I ever ordered a burger that allowed me to get chicken alfredo on the side...jeez, where have I been all my life? What a game changer! Called in via phone order for takeout and was greeted pleasantly by a nice staff member. There was no trouble ordering and food was ready in 15-20 minutes. Did I have to wait any longer than that? Nope! And that's on reliability. Is it $18 a little pricey for a cheeseburger and a side? Undoubtedly. However, with that being said, the side was alfredo. Not plain alfredo, alfredo with chicken. Started to make sense as I was happily devouring the food. With that being said, it fed two people and that says a lot! Food quality: pretty good, had a homemade vibe but in a good way! Still hot and felt fresh by the drive home, which I appreciate. I'm looking at you In n Out Burger... Quality of cheeseburger--a tad bit dry, and less juicy than I'd like. I added some kewpie (japanese mayo) to liven it up a bit and it worked wonders. It came with Dutch Crunch bread! How unique is that! That underrated quality definitely took the burger up a notch, and reminded me of a sandwich burger fusion type of deal. I'm not complaining. Smartly kept the veggies (ice burger lettuce and pickles) on the side so you can add them in yourself when you're ready to eat to prevent sogginess. +1 Chicken alfredo--a healthy amount even as a side! It looked smaller when it was all folded up in the box but when you open that sucker up and reveal it's hearty goodness...boy, was I impressed. Tasted exactly how it's normally cooked and chicken was moist and cooked to perfection! My only gripe is that sometimes you might take a little foil with you while you're forking it into your mouth, haha. First world problems really. Staff here are always super friendly and the whole joint gives off heavy family vibes. I fw it! Shoutout to Dino's for being consistent, reliable, and affordable for 2. I've visited pre-pandemic and it's great to say I've visited during the SIP order and have happily enjoyed my food without any complaints. They are a well oiled machine here. This diner food at its best. There was an item on the menu that were a mystery to me, but when I gave it a thought spaghetti and meat balls made sense as that is one of the items that kids will eat! Bring your kids and your appetite and you will be eating your meal and theirs. My personal favorite is a classic but that's why is one of my go to, the classic cheese burger, hits the spot with the crunchy raw onions and the combination juicy meat mixed with gooey cheese. I recommend this place if you want a burger or if you don't know what you want to eat. The staff is welcoming and helpful but with a bit of sass. They are awesome! read more

I grew up with Dino's in my hometown, and never set foot in it until recently. It's one of those places where you hear it's good, it's on your list to go, but you never get around to it. Well, finally (after 30+ years), we got around to it. You order at the counter, get a number and then they bring your food to you. I had the gyro and onion rings, my mom had one of the specials of the day: the crab sandwich, and my dad had the other special: pesto tortellini. My dad was craving a milkshake, but sadly, no milkshakes at Dino's anymore. Huge bummer. The food was mediocre. Both specials were something that we could have easily whipped up at home. We're pretty sure the crab sandwich was imitation crab and the pesto sauce tasted like the alfredo sauce out of the jar mixed with pesto (I know because I admit, I do this!). The gyro was a decent size, a little skimpy on the tzatziki and heavy on the raw onion. I asked for more tzatziki, which they gladly obliged. Onion rings were spot on. Crispy, greasy, onion-y. I doubt we'll be back anytime soon, but would reconsider if they brought back the milkshakes! read more

Dino's is a small cute diner located in the same plaza as Safeway. I first heard of it from a co-worker who recommended this place to me. The first dish I tried was Spaghetti with marinara sauce and it wasn't that great to me. It tasted a bit bland and the bread wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be. The next time I got it was when we had a small get-together at work and we ordered from Dino's. I ended up getting Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Again, it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. One of my co-workers got the fettuccine pesto and she said it tasted good but is upset she didn't get her complimentary garlic bread haha. Parking can get a little busy especially during peak hours since they are beside a lot of other restaurants and grocery outlets. Other than that, I wouldn't mind coming back here to have lunch with friends. read more

It's a burger and spaghetti for your side. It's a lot of food. I could barely finish it. I feel like it's worth every penny. I also tried the crab sandwich which was pretty good as well. My boyfriend and I were hunting for dinner places when we stumbled across this lovely restaurant. He was craving a burger while I was craving pasta and this place had just what we wanted. The service here is amazing. All of the employees are genuinely kind and seem to care a lot about their job. The food was delicious! You can't beat the pricing either, with most of their dishes pricing around $10. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese with their Garlic Bread. The garlic bread was so crispy and fresh with just enough butter! It could've had a bit more of a fresh garlic taste; mine had a burnt taste but nonetheless, it was delicious. The pasta was also very tasty. My boyfriend had the California Burger with fries and he finished the entire plate! The fries were so warm and crunchy, I had to keep stealing more from his plate. The burger was huge and tasted so good. Overall, I would love to come back to this small restaurant and try more of what they have to offer! read more

Having lived nearby this place for quite some time I've never ventured into this place until about a year so and it turns out this place ended being one of our regular dinning spots! Nestled inside the Newark Marketplace Shopping Center hs Dino's Grill, a great spot to get a quick bite to eat in a friendly warm environment. From the service to the food, the vibe is awesome and great! I come here for the pasta dishes, they are deliciously filling, and most importantly the portion size is great! They certainly give a hearty portion and meal here. The customer service is very friendly, from ordering at the counter with the friendly cashier, to the waitstaff that bring your food, to even the chefs in the kitchen, everyone is very friendly and very welcoming. We have yet to leave unhappy or dissapointed, this place is great! :) read more

I only ever order the California Chicken Sandwich and Italian Burger here which never disappoints. Dino's does chicken sandwiches better than other dedicated sandwich shops (looking at you, Ike's and Mr. Pickles) because they actually spend the time properly toasting their dutch crunch bread and the rest of the ingredients come out hot. Of the two, the Italian Burger might not always come out the most flavorful compared to the chicken sandwich, but a little extra parmesan and whatever condiments you prefer on your burger can easily fix things. Either way, its hard to go wrong with getting a decent burger and pasta in one dish. read more

I usually don't like American food because it's a bit heavy and greasy but Dinos grill is my favorite American restaurant ever. I tell all of my friends about this restaurant in hoping that they'll come here too for the amazing food and friendly service ! I've been coming here for years and it has never disappointed me. My favorite things to get here are the mushroom burgers, chicken Parmesan, pesto pasta, and the zucchini sticks.
