You can go to other oriental food places in Jonesboro and get a buffet all-you-can-eat, or takeout by the pound, and pay considerably less. Nevertheless I will be back to Umai, not only because it's close and convenient but because I'd like to try other menu items. Lastly - and this is not the restaurant's fault - the taxes are killing me on food! My food cost came to $22.53 but the total bill with taxes was $25.77. That's $3.24 or 14.38% in taxes! I sure hope we in Jonesboro are going to get our money's worth for this outrageous amount of taxes on food - but it's probably a forlorn hope.

By the time I drove just a short distance up the street, all of the icing had rubbed off onto the inside of the paper. I immediately returned to the shop to show the employee the issue and requested a fresh set placed in a box. Instead, she took the exact same ruined donuts and placed them into a box.When I pointed out that the icing was still completely ruined, she refused to take accountability. She blamed me for the issue, stating I should have eaten them before leaving and claiming that putting them in a car causes the icing to melt. This is entirely inaccurate, as professional establishments routinely utilize boxes to protect their baked goods during transport.Between the lack of cleanliness inside the shop, the unhygienic food handling, and the combative attitude of the employee, I will not be returning.
