Hubby ordered the "loaded breakfast" -- basically a glorious pile of hashbrowns smothered in sausage gravy and topped with cheese. He prefers his sausage gravy meaty, and this one did not disappoint. I went for the quiche of the day, which was perfectly fine, but let's talk about the real star of the show... the housemade rolls. Warm, fluffy, and served with soft, spreadable butter. I could have skipped the rest of the meal and just had a basket of those. Total carb heaven. Sadly I did not have room for pie and am kicking myself for not just getting pie FOR brunch! Friendly service, satisfying portions, and bonus points for those rolls. Definitely worth a brunch stop.

I love that Jonesboro has a place where I can catch up and lounge with friends after a long week…read more The desserts are delicious, large enough to split with friends, and the ambiance is great! I tried their Arabic coffee, which was more like a tea, which was a little upsetting; however, the presentation was stunning and was made fresh. The Eclair tower was incredible; it was cold and refreshing on the inside, and the outside was warm and chocolately. The crepes are my favorite to order because they're very elaborate, don't skimp on the chocolate, and have many varieties! I am giving Deso a 4/5 because sometimes the proportions can be overdone with the amount of ingredients, the price is very high, and they do tend to record in the establishment a lot, which can be a little off-putting when you see yourself on Instagram without knowing. But overall, I do love coming here for a sweet treat that makes me feel like I'm in a bigger city!

What added to its depth of flavor was that it wasn't over-sweetened. I felt like the baklava had a very European influence. That being said, I added a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Delectable chocolate was an unexpectedly welcome addition on top of my ice cream. Inexplicably, they served Member's Mark ice cream [Sam's Club (Walmart) brand]. At a high-end place like this, I would have expected something much better, like Häagen-Dazs. My friend settled on chocolate strawberries in a cup, which he said was very messy. But I think that he enjoyed the taste of his selection. The dining area was low-key and relaxing. Afterwards, I met the owner, who was sitting outside in front of the shop. He was very personable and friendly. If in the area again, I would definitely return to try other menu items. I sincerely hope that they add blueberries to their lineup of fruit choices.

They killed it! Had a great visit to Lebowski's Brewing Co in the Southern Hills area of Jonesboro,…read moreAR. They had a great crowd, and still plenty of seating. Got a booth directly across from the kitchen which was nice and peaceful. Almost as if we were the only ones there. Had wonderful service from a young lady by the name of Allison. The whole staff was swamped, but she took good care of us despite the crowd. Glasses stayed full, never felt rushed, food all came out in a pretty short bit. She even made some amazing suggestions that helped steer us into ordering some good stuff! Can't say enough about how well she and the staff were doing while we were there. We started things off w/the Street Corn Dip. Pretty good option for a few people to share. Tasted good, but I just kept thinking maybe there was something better to pair it w/than tortilla chips. Nothing comes to mind yet, but the dip can overcome the chip choice. Loved it! The I went w/their 14oz hand cut prime ribeye. Have to say...2 weeks in a row to be surprised by 2 excellent steaks that NO ONE ever said a word to us about. Really thought we had better friends. FYI: Skinny J's Paragould & now Lebowski's. Steak was cooked absolutely perfect! I'm not as big of a ribeye fan as folks around here seem to be, but I wouldn't be scared to send someone that way in search of a good steak. Never even thought about using any sauce. That roasted garlic butter on top was all I needed! to the chef! What you can barely see in the pic is the mashed potatoes peaking out from under the back corner of the steak. They were fantastic. Now, the green beans, not my style at all. I know this type is very popular and has been for a few years now, but it has never been how I like them. This isn't on them at all, but just my preference. I'm sure you can run w/a different side if you don't like mashed potatoes or this style of green beans. We weren't gonna do a dessert, but Allison sold us on trying the Southern Peach Cobbler. Clingstone peaches, local honey, homemade biscuit topping, vanilla ice cream, & topped w/some peach vanilla coulis. Pretty good dessert choice, but def suggest to get more moisture over the top if you order it. That biscuit top is very thick! I've been here before, but for just bar food really. Def glad Allison made some good suggestions or I might have done the bar food thing again. Go check em out & try some things you wouldn't normally try. There is some good stuff on their menu for sure! As always, visit often, love on the staff well, and tip even better!

The weekend Brunch menu is great fun including an English breakfast (one critique, the beans were a sort of Southwestern mashup when they should be simple baked beans; most famously Heinz baked beans...I'll let it pass for a first visit). Service was friendly, but not great. Appears they are still working out the details of good restaurant service. One fellow diner mentioned when a table based QR code ordering system was in place service was much faster. Again, seeing the potential here, not a big deal. The regular menu as well as the endorsement of fellow diners definitely makes Lebowski's worth another visit!

As soon as I saw the tagline said a Taiwanese Tea House, I was in! A Taiwanese friend introduced me to milk tea years ago, so I assumed I'd find some authentic flavors at Ding Tea. And yelpers, I did! My first morning in town, I headed straight for Ding Tea after breakfast and ordered a taro milk tea, prepared hot, with medium sweetness. I allowed the young man working the register to suggest a topping for me (I think he said the classic crystal something or nother). My tea was everything I wanted! The only thing I'd change is ordering low sweetness next time; the medium was about at my sweet limit (but I don't like things too sugary). I will absolutely patronize this establishment again before I leave and on all future visits to Jonesboro. This is clearly a family owned small business. The young children were there, and the son took my order while dad guided him. Although the drink I ordered is typically prepared cold, the dad/owner made it hot for me and stepped back the sweetness.
