The bubble tea is good but I can't say enough about the Pork Banh Mi and shrimp egg rolls. The last time I had something so delicious I was stuck somewhere near Chinatown in NYC, it was early fall and we ducked into this tiny Vietnamese sandwich place (whose name I can't recall). DING Tea out of curiosity I decided to try it out on Jan 22, 2019 on my way back to JC. It's located in the same shopping center as Sweet Hut, Snowflake, Eat Tea, and Coffee by Hand making this shopping center the most competitive area for this sort of business. As you walked in, this establishment not only does not provide wifi, but also it lacks any other food items besides the basic milk tea which you can get from the other places. Ding Tea reminds me of Gong Cha on the other side of the town inside Asia Plaza. Ding Tea is CASH ONLY on orders less than $7.00, so don't even think about getting anything if you don't have cash on you. The seatings are limited, and most of the customers inside are lousy high school/teenagers chatting on their smartphones. Hokkaido tea is the only item on the menu that differentiate this from sweet hut but like other milk teas, they all taste the same once you gulp it down your throat. Ding Tea is the newest addition to boba shops in Duluth. Located in the popular strip mall off pleasant hill, this place and the neighboring businesses are popular so parking is hard to find if you come during price time (saturday night). Inside- I love the interior design. Very tasteful. I love the bar stools and flower wall. Wait- As with all new boba shops, the wait is long as everyone wants to try the boba. Boba- Eeeks (for now). Maybe because they are just opening they need to work out the kinks but the signature milk tea and boba unfortunately not impressive. Very light/watery. Price- Did not look at the price as usual (you know its always going to be around $5-7 no matter where you go) but I remember a lady behind me saying some type of opening special going on. Speed- Not bad! After ordering I think there were 10 people in front of us and the wait was only 10-15 minutes. Not bad at all. Customer Service- Solid. Quick and efficient. I like it. Ridiculously rude service!!! Not sure why this place is always so pack, maybe it's because they're hella slow at making your drinks which resulted in longer line and more people waiting for their drinks inside the store to make it "appears busy". We tried to order winter melon tea, nope its sold out, monster tea, nope we don't have that, ok coffe? Nope they don't serve coffee even though they have it on their menu. I'm a big fan of jasmine milk tea but they did not meet my expectations. Their milk tea is watered down with not much tea flavor and I didn't even have ice added. We have been coming to Ding Tea every other day since they have opened. We always get Taro milk tea, Signature milk tea, and Wintermelon milk tea. However today, after we have purchased our drinks and took a sip of the wintermelon and the signature tea, the black tea base was very watery and low quality tea. When we took a up of the taro tea, it was very slimy and chunky. We asked the employees if there were any changes to the drink, and one stated that they have changed their taro powder. A lot of new boba shops has been appearing lately. I can see why Ding Tea is worth a try, the decor and aesthetics are perfect for those Boba Cup photos. I came here twice and both times taste wise, I was not impressed. I'm not a boba afficionado, especially with milk teas. My usual preference are the refreshing teas without the milk. During the first visit, I opted for the Passionfruit Green Tea and requested it to be 50% sugar. It was gross and I felt like I was drinking pure sugar. Either they didnt make it with just 50% sweetness as I requested or the original 100% version is just that much sweeter. I barely took 2-3 sips and had to throw it out. The 2nd visit was probably even worse. The place was so packed and I felt pretty claustrophobic waiting 30 minutes for my drink. The place was fully staffed, it was like they weren't even trying to be efficient. Half of them were having their side chats and the others were moving so slow. I opted for the matcha latte with non-dairy milk. I'm a matcha snob myself and this definitely needed more matcha. It tasted like milk. Barely finished that order this time around. I don't think I'll ever want to be back. There are a few other boba shops in the area that are more favorable. read more

I have been here couple times. The drink is good but the service is really bad. I don't know because I always came there when they were busy or whatever reason is. There was one times I had to wait 30 mins for 2 drink and they even call the next person after me to pick up the drink but my drink was still not ready then they said they did it wrong so they had to re-do it but I did order less ice and after I finish my drink, they were half the cup of ice. The other time I came, I bought 4 drink and the girl only stamp me one time (on the stamp card) which I think it suppose to be 4. And they make the less sugar and the 30%sugar drink is the same amount of sugar (but we can't tell because there is no prof of it however we all tried it and it was the same amount of sugar) read more

My favorite tea house that I've been to so far. It gets a little bit crowded when it's busy, the building is aesthetically pleasing. Let me first start off by saying that i like ding tea. A lot. The quality of their tea and boba is better than most other boba places around. I literally went almost six times a week when the first opened. The reason for my 1 star rating is their lack of product and miscommunication that i get. They are ALWAYS out of Hokkaido milk tea, which is my favorite drink there. When they first ran out, everyone i asked kept saying we don't know when we'll restock. Someone eventually told me they will have a restock by end of February. I come back the first of March and they said they are still out. I asked them i thought there was suppose to be a restock by end of February? They responded "yeah we did, but now we're out again, we'll get another shipment next week." Wow. Ok. No problem. I literally called the next week to check to see if they restocked. They answered with "we actually ran out two days ago and our next shipment is on the 20th". So now I've been give false information and on top of that, they ran out of Hokkaido. Again. Called today on the 20th to see if they got their shipment in and no one seemed to have an answer. I understand as a new business you'll run out of product sometimes. But to constantly be out of stuff is unacceptable. It's not just Hokkaido, every time i go in, there's a sign letting people know what they are out of. How are you consistently out of product? Especially product that you know sells a lot? That's just poor management at the point, especially if you aren't communicating to your staff when you'll expect to restock. They have other good drinks there, but I've literally been waiting to drink hokkaido again for about 2 months now. I really want to see this store succeed but they need to get it together. read more

I've been to this boba place a few times and my absolute favorite drink would have to be the boba monster drink! The drink is very creamy and the cheese foam adds a unique salty flavor, balancing out the sweetness of the drink. The texture of the boba (which is gold-colored!) has been perfect in all the times I've been here. The drinks are a bit pricey compared to other places nearby but the quality is worth it! read more

I got two of the top 10 drinks, Hokkaido milk tea with coffee jelly and lychee yakult with crystal boba. I absolutely love the lychee yakult with crystal boba. The only downside is really the space and the time drinks can take. I went right before a rush started and my drink took a few minutes. I've also gone during rush times, and I've just immediately left because you could tell with the amount of people standing around it would take awhile. The decor is minimalistic, but it's also quite lovely with their flower wall. Surprisingly there are so many bubble tea places but 9/10 times this place is usually packed no matter what. read more

I really like Ding Tea, I do! And I so want to give them 5 stars but every time I come, it's always different. They have different people making the drinks all the time. I think next time I have to see who makes my drink so I can request that person making it only! Yesterday, Friday, January 25th, 2019, I ordered the Signature milk tea in Large, with 30% sweet, regular ice, and crystal boba. The drink was perfect. There was Only a hint of sweetness and I could taste the tea. Today, I ordered the same thing but it was about 100% sweet!! WHAT?! There was no tea flavor, just sugar. My friend had the same thing with regular everything and he said it was straight sugar water. He actually got really sick from drinking it. I didn't want to say anything because, I can always add ice to mine and wait for it to melt so I can drink the tea, and they were extremely busy. Next time I will pay attention to who made my drink and will definitely request them to make mine. 30% sweet should not taste like 50, 70 or 100 percent sweet. I came on a pretty busy evening, the line was out the door. There's a $7 credit card charge, which was annoying because I didn't have cash so I ended up purchasing two drinks. My friends also purchased a drink. I think she got a oolong tea and she asked for 50% sugar, and it was like 110% sugar and really bitter meaning the tea had been sitting there all day. My drink was a mango tea and it was very mediocre. This probably won't be my first choice for tea, but I really like the atmosphere of the place to just hang out with friends. read more

Ding Tea is a tea shop located in a strip mall on Pleasant Hill. The place is busy at night and especially the weekends. The interior of the place is nice but the store is small and doesn't have enough seating. They have their drink selections on a tv with a top 10 list on one side which is helpful for new people. They also have their drink selections at the register. Their drink selections and topping is similar to other tea shops. I tried their lychee, mango, and peach Yakult and the drink is good. I would usually get it with golden boba and aloe Vera. Their golden boba is a hit or miss depending on the day. The issue about this place is that they have a $7 minimum if you want to use your credit card which I think it's too high especially for a drink. All the other places I have been to either do not have a card minimum or the highest be $5. If you do not have cash with you then expect to buy two drinks. Overall, their drinks are good but their credit card minimum and consistency needs improvement. read more

Since it opened very recently and I arrived pretty late, I didn't mind the long wait (about an hour to get my drink). I ordered a taro milk tea with boba and no ice but they messed up my order three times. And, they ran out of boba, which rarely happens at the other nearby boba places. The taro milk tea had pretty good flavor. My sister's lychee Yakult was not bad either, but my friend said she did not like her matcha latte - I tried it and it tasted quite flat. read more

I visit California twice a year and love Ding Tea in Cali. However the Duluth location is inconsistent. 100% sugar isn't sweet enough. The toppings are inconsistent. My wife got the aloe Vera and she feels like it tastes old and not prepared properly. Both of my brothers said their drink isn't good.
