I simply cannot say enough about this place. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Especially Kara. This young lady has to be the best server we have seen. We have been visiting the area every other week due to some family matters and we have eaten here several times and stayed in the Quality Inn adjacent to the restaurant. The building definitely looks dated. However don't let that fool you. Bcz this is a great place to stay and eat. We have had the breakfast buffet and we have had lunch and everything is great. This past visit I tried the enchiladas with beans and rice. I was skeptical Bcz I prefer California Mexican food. I've never cared for southwest style Mexican food. But this was really good. I was very surprised. I tried a Mexican restaurant in Gallup NM. recently and it was not good at all. But I thoroughly enjoyed this one! This place definitely gets 5 stars Kudos to the management for putting together this amazing staff. We will be frequent visitors.

It's our second time here this week. Good to be back @ a table here on the Rez. Servers here are cordial and courteous, drinks stay full. We ordered the Navajo burger (tortilla) this time around, with fries and the onion rings. Onion rings have a wet batter and came out nice & crispy, hot & well done. Very filling.

I love this restaurant. I have been coming here ever since I was a small child. The food is consistently good. The employees are fantastic, quick, and super nice. I cannot recommend coming here enough. I am so glad that I was able to stop by and get an updated menu and some updated hours of operation post pandemic. For those who are interested, they are usually operating until 7:30 PM. I've also included a picture of the updated menu. If you are looking for a good place to eat locally definitely stop by here!

Had to try the Navajo Taco! Love fry bread; this was so huge I had to take most of it home. Very hearty!

I wanted to stop in the capitol of Diné (Navajo) Nation, so it worked out that we were starving for lunch right as we pulled in to this restaurant. (On a side note, I wonder if this is the "Navajo Inn" in authors Tony/Anne Hillerman's novels about detectives Leaphorn and Chee...which we were listening to on Audible the whole way here!). The folks at the restaurant were super nice, and this was some of the biggest food we had on our entire trip! Of course, I had to order the Navajo Taco. It was wholly different than the ones you can get on the roadside stands, but this was a hearty meal of beans, ground beef. and taco fixings, all on a large, pillowy fry bread. It's local fare, and I highly recommend trying it if you're in the area. They gave us massive to-go cups and were generous with refills, plus very friendly. I found some great gifts at the hotel gift shop, which I didn't expect, and we enjoyed the beautiful little garden courtyard outside. The Window Rock itself is worth a glance, so definitely make a stop if you're in the area! Ahéhee' to all the staff here for being so awesome!

So I never leave reviews but I had to make an exception for the Dine Restaurant located in the Quality Inn hotel - everything I have had the last few days was excellent with fast and friendly service, skip the fast food choices this is really the best place to eat in Window Rock.

Had dinner at the restaurant as we were staying one night in the motel. The atmosphere is quaint, food is pretty standard diner style with the addition of Navajo tacos. Flat bread was good, meal was bland. Server was trying to work the whole place alone so he was by necessity a bit absent.

Inside the Quality Inn, they serve a great weekend breakfast buffet. Their Navajo bread with honey is delicious. Reasonable prices.

The Burrito Lady - The Burrito Lady's Trailer

Finally made it to the Burrito Lady Food Trailer in Chinle. Located on the road to the Chinle…read moreHospital. Easy to locate now based upon the trailer. Had a very good roast mutton sandwich on fry bread with lettuce, tomato, green onion and chili slice. The mutton strips were cooked on a grill. The fry bread was freshly made. Excellent flavors. The mutton was not as tender as others I have had but all good. There are no tables or chairs so it is tailgate time. Visited by many locals. You need pay correct cash. Will stop by again when in the area.

It was lunch time on Thursday, and we are in Chinle, Arizona. So my brother in law ask me, 'what…read moreare you up for lunch?, so I answered, 'let go to the Burrito Lady'. So we took a drive to the road that takes you to the Chinle Hospital. Just as you turn at the light, just to your right is a small food truck like place where the Burrito Lady has her business. We walk up to the trailer, looked at the menu that sits right next to where you order. I saw the Roasted Mutton Sandwich, so we both ordered it. She asked us if we wanted it on a tortilla and fry bread, so we both said fry bread, and ordered our drink as well. The Roasted Mutton Sandwich is comes folded like a taco on Indian fry bread, stuffed with the Roasted Mutton, long slices of green chili, green onion, and tomato. What made this sandwich taste so good is the flavor of the Roasted Mutton, and of course the Indian fry bread. For those of you that have never had Mutton, you have to understand that it is fully cooked, and is an acquired taste. I first had Mutton in Tuba City at their daily swap meet at noon. It was grilled and was filled with similar like this one in Chinle. The way they cook it makes it real tasty. This is my story on my special lunch in Chinle. Hope some day you have an eating experience like mine.
