They have been here for decades now and the best thing about this bakery is that they offer many great variety of healthy breads for everyone purpose; different varieties of rye and whole grain toast bread, whole grain baguettes and hotdog buns, etc. They also offer great variety of pastries, cookies, danish, donuts, cannoli, eclairs and cakes. They're open 6 days a week (closed on Sundays) and operate on cash-only basis. They also have dine-in area (and patio for warmer seasons) to enjoy coffee & pastries or breakfast.

well, it's one thing to have a production gaff that somehow allows for plastic pieces to get into bakery produce. It's another not to respond to a custom email, indicating to me that the family touch may be been baked out of the operation over this company's very impressive history. The place is wonderfully busy, but several of our purchases seemed more on the stale, mass-produced side than home-grown. In any event, here's my third attempt to warn the company that they might have a production issue significant enough to bake plastic into its cake.

My friend introduced me to this bakery. They have a bakery cum cafe near Kipling station. The range of breads they carry is truly amazing - vegan, pumpernickel, rye.. and many many more. All made from100% spring water. If you like natural breads, please visit them. My favorite part is always getting something to eat and their coffee. They have a range of cakes. They have spacious seating space. We were so happy to revisit after the pandemic. Service is good. They do not take credit card so remember to bring cash.

I'm not sure what you could complain about here because their products are all great quality and very well priced. They only accept cash, so make sure to bring enough for all your carb desires. Parking can be a bit tricky because you back out into a road and sometimes the cars next to you might be blocking your way. It's a large bakery with a sit down area as well. Quality bread at very reasonable prices. There's also cakes, pastries, pretzels and coffee too! I think if you're used to seeing this name on your bread in the grocery store, may be worth a trek to come here and stock up. Staff are very nice and even dressed up in traditional German attire. I'm familiar with the doughnuts and bread, but decided to get a mini pretzel (75 cents), apple pie ($7) and small coffees ($1.30 each). If i'm in the area, definitely would visit again.

Came to this factory store on a Saturday afternoon for coffee and a snack. I am familiar with this brand by seeing their breads on sale at the grocery store, but I didn't realize that they carry other items as well. There is a store at the front with a wide variety of carbs - pizza crust, bagels, pretzels, loaves of breads, cakes, cookies, danishes ... the list goes on. In the back, is a little cafe where you can enjoy your Dimpflmeier goods along with a caffeinated beverage. We had coffee along with a slice of the cheesecake and cheese-broccoli quiche. I preferred the latter; the crust was soft and not the hard crust that I'm used to. At home, I enjoyed the danishes - glazed cheese with raisins and apple. This is definitely a place that I would like to return to. NB - Cash only; there is a (no name) ATM though Good for: bread, cake, pastries, cafe

I've always wanted to stop by this bakery, and I got the chance when I drove into Toronto. This place makes the German bread that I buy at my local store, so when I got the chance I had to go here. Everything is fresh and made the European way! For me, who grew up in a German family, this was heaven. Yes, I had to buy some soft Pretzels, some fresh buns, buns called Kümmel in Germany, an uncut loaf of bread, and several loaves of Klosterbrot that was going right into my freezer when I got home. They do have a wide selection, not just breads, but cookies, seasonal items, cakes, coffee cakes, as well as tortes. Hey, the hell with Carbs....right?! After buying all our baked goods, my sister and I selected a couple of sliced cakes, and ordered cappuccinos, then sat down in their small cafe. Their selection of cakes was so tempting that I had to try 2 of them. One was similar to a Sacher cake and the other was a light airy strawberry mouse type of cake. I would definitely recommend you going here if your in the Toronto area. It's well visited by locals, but we even saw some foreign tourists while we were here. Just to forewarn you....they take cash only. And if you use American Dollars (which they take) you will get the change back in Canadian. I highly recommend this place!

I have died and gone to carb heaven! When you walk in you are greeted with large bins of fresh baked rolls, multiple displays of cakes and desserts, and rows upon rows of bread; all baked fresh in house. This Yelper's instinct was to whip out the camera (phone), but there is absolutely no picture taking allowed. Good thing I saw the inconspicuous paper sign at the entrance. Whew! Avoided some major drama with that one. Dimpflmeier is a German bakery that avoids animal fat in their baked goods and uses only Natural Spring Water from their own Terra Cotta Springs. Fancy that! Busy on the weekends but they have multiple cash registers open to efficiently handle the crowd. Helpful and courteous staff. The young cashier that was helping me was kind enough to explain all the desserts in both display cases (I didn't ask her to) which made my decision much easier to make: Strawberry yogurt cake, cheddar cheese bagel and a latte. The Strawberry Yogurt cake was a little dry but the filling was delicious and not overly sweet. The latte was tiny; I guess that's why it was cheap but it went well with the dessert. My favorite was the HUMONGOUS Cheddar Cheese Bagel. Ahh...the bagel was perfect. It had tons of cheddar cheese and a satisfying chew to it, an absolute steal at at $0.65! I will definitely be back. What a great place to grab a delicious treat.

This is one of the best bakeries I've been to in a while! I only found this place by accident.... I was looking at one bakery, and this came up at the bottom, otherwise I never would have found it! They only take cash, which can be challenging. But. Their prices are unbelievable.... As is the quality of everything they make. Breads, pastries, cakes, etc! I also love their cafe, great prices! I got a toasted bagel with cream cheese for $2.20, and the bagel is almost twice the size of Timmie's! My only issue is that the pop tastes very odd. I don't know why, but it has a very "stale" taste! Maybe they sell very little of it (they do sell a lot of coffee, so.....!) I'm afraid I might live here!

I am a big fan of this bakery. The food and the drinks are very cheap. It probably has one of the best espressos in all of Toronto. Pros: - Cheap baked goods - Cheap coffee - Fresh baked products Cons: - They do not accept cards, only cash - Parking is tight - Seating is not sufficient for the customers

This place is CARBS-HEAVEN! If you love carbs, you'll have this place. So many varieties of bread such as pretzel, cheese bread, bagel etc. They also have pastries, cake, drinks etc... They have a dine-in area too. I've tried their carbs item and they're super soft and fresh. I have yet to try their pastries...I shall be back to try them!

Bread for days! Pastries galore! How did I grow up in the west end and never hear of this place? Located just north of Kipling Ave and The Queensway, this is a large establishment - when we drove up, I was expecting a tiny little bakery. Boy, was I wrong .This is legit a bread factory - on the Saturday morning we visited, cars were streaming in packs towards the designated parking spots, crowds of people entering. This is evidently a popular spot. First, parking. As mentioned, there are spots designated just for Dimpflmeier customers - there isn't a lot, but there's a good amount. Regardless, come early, because it gets crowded. Second, what they offer. Literally, from wall to wall, baskets upon baskets and shelves upon shelves of fresh bagels, breads, baguettes, rolls, pastries, cookies, danishes, donuts, cakes, you name it. They even had pre-packaged boxes of freshly made cookies and pastries you could definitely bring to a dinner party. We picked up a couple of cheese breads and cheese twists just to try, and it was under $5.00. It looks like their croissants and pretzels are quite popular - will buy more of these next time. Third, they have a café connected to the bread shop that has a decent amount of tables, and where you can sample their breads and pastries (think tiramisus, cheesecakes, etc). I had a latte (around $2.00) and hazelnut ball that tasted like a massive Ferrero Rocher. The latte was okay but the pastry was pretty good! The café was also packed on a Saturday morning with groups and families - so again, come early! Fourth, the service. Perhaps the one downside is that service is not the best, as others below have mentioned. You'll get very curt, disinterested replies. Not very helpful at all. Besides this, no other complaints. I will definitely be back here again to try out their other breads, freshly made croissants and donuts! Prices are also very reasonable. Definitely recommended!

It tasted low quality and a bit artificial in my opinion.  The portions were huge, and one order can be shared between two people. And after checking the hours of operation, they're only opened 'til 5pm, including Saturdays. They sell whole and cakes, pastries, but the slice/piece. Prices aren't posted, but it was just under $10 for 2 pieces that I got. When I arrived, near closing, they had B1G1 free on their tiramisu, so I saw that as a sign. They were delicious and still tasted free, not too sweet! (I took a pic of their price list and it seems very reasonable!) Judging on what they offer and what I've read, they have Austrian/German roots. Lady who helped me could've been friendlier/enthusiastic, but again, it was the end of the day. A cone sounded good, but who wants to hear me crunch on that during a movie?! I looked at all the frozen yogurt and fruit popsicles. I knew that I wanted one. I asked the woman what the pink popsicle was in the centre of all the peach ones. It was cotton candy. I selected it. I have never had cotton candy as a popsicle in my life. She said that it had Nerds in it. Even better! I love Nerds. I was thrilled to see that this place offers cookies and baked goods. It also has Sweets from the Earth brownies and cookies. They are vegan and delicious! As you'd expect at Cineplex concession stands, prices are higher, including at Melt. My cotton candy popsicle was over $4 with tax. I was happy to use debit. I wanted to try it out. I thanked the woman and left. In the movie theatre, I savoured my popsicle. It was creamy and not overly sugary. The Nerds were exactly what you'd expect them to taste like. The combination of cotton candy and Nerds worked nicely. There is a huge area at Melt where you can sit down and enjoy your desserts. I would love to do that in the future. It contains chicken eggs, cottage cheese, gluten-free pudding, natural skyr (yogurt), vanilla, fruit, sweetener, erythritol. The Granola on the Go was so colourful because it had so many different fruit flavour layers, like mango at the bottom. It would be best to scoop the layers separately, rather than mixing all the flavours together. This Cup contains mango, passionfruit, banana, pineapple, yogurt with increased protein content (cow's milk protein), coconut granola, sweeter, erythritol. It contains apples, almond flour, rice flour, potato flour, coconut flour, coconut oil, cinnamon, sweetener, erythritol. The customer service was excellent. When I've baked not using sugar I found I need to add just a bit in even 1/4 cup to satiate the sugar fix. I got a tartlet with plum and peanut butter and it was good. The other item I looked at also had peanut butter. I did not try a cake and was hoping to find cookies to try but no luck.
