We saw first hand how well they treated their repeated patrons but felt treated the very same on our first visit. The place is inviting. Comfortable but modern at the same time. Beautiful restaurant, we really expected a bit of a crowd. We were seated and greeted, waters were provided with menus. We started our meal experience by telling our waiter that we planned to do a progressive dinner down 3rd Street. We were met with a rather disappointed / disheartened response. Their menu was absolutely stunning. Lots of great options. As this was our first stop of the evening, we went for an appetizer. The Albacore Confit absolutely out of this world. Ridiculously good. Huge portion, plated beautifully. Wonderful for the three of us to share. We all raved at how lovely the dish was. Drinks were absolutely fabulous. Gin martini was SOLID. My partner didn't care for his wine but it was a first-time try, that isn't the fault of the restaurant. The Dolores O'Riordan martini was absolutely wonderful. The bar was timely with drinks, which is always appreciated. Overall, ambiance, food, and drink were AMAZING! Absolutely a 5-star experience. However, service just did not slap. We could have survived with the disheartened response at us only staying for one-course but the end of our time with Grounded Table kinda kicked us all in the butt. As they handed me the check, we were met with "We hope you can join us for an entire meal sometime". The inflection was just catty and unnecessary. Trying to look past it, I continued to complete the check but after they departed the table, my dinner-mates both whispered under their breath "that did not just happen, how rude!" Meh, this could hae been the easiest 5-star review ever. The attitude of our server kinda blew the entire experience, the comment was unnecessary.

I love how there was plenty of seating all around - no accidentally bumping into someone else while walking around and exploring all the food options! There were hightops, larger tables for groups of 10+ people or for communal seating, and bar seating at some of the vendors too. The space can also be rented out for private parties, etc. The water stations were scattered thoughtfully around the dining areas so you don't need to go far for water or bussing your table. The bathrooms were reasonably clean as well (with a key code - ask at any vendor to get it). I would come back again to try more food - it's a welcoming space. I got Shanghai's Best and was too full to try Lil' Funky Donuts.

I like the concept of this place. It's basically an indoor equivalent of a food cart pod, which is…read morevery Portland in itself. The location is not ideal in terms of access and some of the typical challenges you would expect in downtown Portland. Otherwise, it's a fun experience for an occasional visit and the food options are plentiful. There are about eight food concepts in total on the perimeter of the building with a main bar in the center. I went with a rice bowl from one spot and had a few of the mini donuts from the other location for dessert. I also saw a Thai food concept, a smoothie bar and a ramen spot. There are a lot of different seating options available, but none of them are particularly comfortable. When I went for dinner, the place was only about half full and the trash area was a little bit unkempt. Parking is available on the street or in adjacent lots but everything is paid during typical daytime hours from about 8 AM until about 7 PM. The bathrooms do require an access code but are available on site. Personally, I feel like this place had a bit more clout when it first opened before the pandemic. But, it still has some relevance and it's a great spot for a casual meal just because of the variety of options that are available. If you come with a group, everyone can try what they like. Overall, a good showcase of some under the radar food establishments that conglomerate in a fun shared space. Check it out!

We love this place! Happen to come across this after facing…read morethe worse day (tax Prep). Their food is delish! Servers are very helpful and friendly. Hubs had the half Belgian waffle bacon and egg. I wanted to try their skillet Hot Mess. Needless to say I wolfed half of my huge delicious breakfast and wanted to try my hubs waffles. And I'm sorry to say I ate most of it!! They were so light and tasted fantastic! I am a traditional waffle kinda gal but these have definitely changed me! Our server was so attentive and made sure our coffee and water was always topped off. Even tho we were full...or should I say I was, we really wanted to try their chocolate cream pie. AGAIN! Did not disappoint! This place is a must try! Found out they have their own brewery. So if you're into beer this is the place! They have a great outside seating area too!

THe seating area was great, with a roof providing shade but still allowing for fresh air. Service was very friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar burger and my companion went with the Cowboy Philly Sandwich, both with fries. The Bacon Cheddar burger was great. A thick beef patty was paired with bacon and cheddar. The sauce was a nice, creamy 1000 island. It was rich and messy. The fries were good too. The brioche bun was soft and rich; it held up nicely. The Cowboy Philly Sandwich was an interesting combination of beef brisket, pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and red peppers. The sauce was a chipotle mayonnaise. There was slaw on the side. I just had a bite, but it all tasted good and went together well. This is a solid place for a good breakfast or lunch/dinner with great service.

I chose to go…read morehere as I had heard that the buffet was awesome and it included pizza, macaroni, steak, salad bar, desserts.. Perfect. I have a couple picky eaters and pizza, Salad, macaroni.. that is all food they want and eat. So to start, I am not a picky eater at all. So 7 of my 8 kids (yeah i know...) and myself go in hungry after a long day hunting agates and playing with mole crabs to an immediate bill of $180.00 and that is without drinks, just water. We get sat down. Restaurant is very clean (reason for the stars that it did get.) Water is delivered and we begin to shuffle towards the buffet line. -Pizza was undercooked and reminded me very much of a elementary school cafeteria pizza. In fact almost all of the food was of that caliber. -Baked beans had been sitting long enough to form a skin -The clam chowder was separating in the pot and smelled burnt as soon as i opened the lid. -The salad bar was alright except for the actual Salad which seemed to be entirelymade up from the ends of numerous bags where it was just little ends and pieces of everything but lettuce. -Fried chicken was really dry and not enjoyable to eat. The kids barely eat anything besides fruit. As much as I would like to rip them about absolutely everything I will leave it at what it is. The food was pretty awful for that price tag, the service was mediocre, it felt like there was a single server for the entire restaurant, as water glasses were sitting empty a majority of the time. We will likely not be returning to this restaurant. I hope this review gets to their management so that they can consider minor and major changes for the betterment of the establishment.
