For my birthday, my partner took me here to Dillards. He said I could pick out anything I wanted. What I wanted was an Estée Lauder perfume. I thought I wanted the one called "beautiful". My mom used to wear that one, but when we got there, I tried smelling some of the perfumes by Estée Lauder's daughter, Aerin. I really liked those perfumes! I picked one of those instead. I'm really glad that the Estée Lauder company is continuing on with the children and grandchildren of Esteé. Even though the store closed about 20 minutes after we got there, the sales lady did not rush us. And everything was clean. And the sales lady was kind and professional. She even sold me a face cream. I haven't seen in many years. I was so happy to be reunited with the face cream. I used to love. This is such a nice store! We bought a sweater for my daughter and after wearing then washing and drying it according to the directions on the label, one of the sleeves came unraveled and the cuff fell off. I took it to the store, but due to their ridiculous return policy and ancient registers (which can't pull up a transaction using the card you purchased it with), they refuse to exchange or return the defective product. I even spoke with the general manager at my local store and they still won't do anything. We DEFINITELY WILL NOT be shopping at Dillard anymore. read more

Horrible return policy! Keep the receipt, tags, proof of purchase stickers, probably the bag you took it home in! They make it as difficult as possible to return anything. Had a sweater fall apart after two washes and they wouldn't even exchange it. And they said they couldn't even look up the sale on their computers because they're so old. Be prepared when coming in to this Dillard's to be harassed by every single person working here. My mother and I came in to look for a lip liner, and had 5-6 people following us around the store which became so overwhelming. Sometimes when you are shopping you just want to shop in peace. We came back the next day to work with Ramona from the Chanel counter, who was very sweet and helpful. I don't blame the staff for upwelling everything, but there is a point when it becomes overwhelming. Ramona only suggested products that we could actually use, and we ended up spending more than anticipated. Some of the other ladies were rather snarky. I also visited the sunglasses and wasn't trying to spend $200 - $300 on sunglasses, but they were recommending me to try all of these designer brands. I ended up only purchasing make up. If Ramona hadn't been so helpful, I would have gone to Von Maur, as their sales people don't follow you around the store making you feel uncomfortable. read more

When I'm in town I always make a stop to Dillard's to check out the men's suits. There's always really nice blazers on sale and the staff are really friendly and professional. I always end up getting a jacket or two to take home. I can't find these prices back in SF. read more

I was very disappointed with my visit. I went to dillards to look for a simple and affordable prom dress. Im an asian female and my friend is a noticeable transgender female who is also mexican. We saw that the fitting room near the prom dresses was packed so we looked for a different one. We found a fitting room by the baby clothes section. We were approached by this old white woman with ugly ass hair and we told her we were just going to use the fitting room, i was trying on ONE black long dress. My friend came in the room with me to help me with the dress. This white women proceeded to follow us into the room and tried to open my door. She told my friend that MEN shouldn't be in here and told my friend "you're no female." My friend just left the room and i was trying on the dress as a normal person would use a fucking fitting room for. My friend left to look for more dresses and i was getting ready to leave the room. When i left the room, THIS WHITE WOMEN WAS STANDING OUTSIDE MY DRESSING ROOM WAITING FOR ME TO COME OUT. As if i was going to steal a big, long, prom dress. Also should mention that we are minors. This is very much racially profiling, transphobic, and overall rude. I was uncomfortable and offended. Never buy from dillards unless youre a white girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. read more

I'm done with this store. They treat you ok/good when you buy. Try to return something and you will be treated with disgust. I bought a few things and decided to return 2 tops. The lady at first was smiling - her smile quickly went away after I told her I wanted to return. She did the return without saying a word to me. Afterward, she slammed the receipt on the counter. I thanked her and she totally ignore me. That wasn't the 1st time either. One time I wanted to return something and the lady at the counter sent me somewhere else. So she could ring people up but not return? Not like I was returning shoes in the clothing department. Good grief!!! I wrote to the corporate but haven't heard back. Don't think I will either. Since they don't care about customers, they can kiss my elite status goodbye. My family & I will shop elsewhere. We're all elites so they will be losing quite a bit of businesses. They need to realize that people can shop online now and don't need them. Nordstrom is the best - I have an SA at Nordstrom and he sends me everything I want & need. I love the help that is offered here! If I'm in a rush and I don't want help I don't feel like I'm being hounded. The suits are true tailored clothing. There isn't a better place in Wichita to get a suit for quality and price. I prefer Hart Schaffer Marx! Also I am broad shouldered and narrow waisted. Dillards does made to measure so you can actually get the perfect fit for your body. A little pricey but you get what you pay for! Recently I discovered the murano brand which is more for going out and looking nice. They carry a performance line (in dress shirts) that stretch and stay cool even in hot weather. I never thought I'd be comfortable wearing a long sleeve shirt in 90-100 degree weather (went south for spring break). It looks like this location is doing some renovation and I can't wait to see it when it's completed! read more

My friend and I were looking at makeup trying to decide what to get but the workers there would not leave us alone. We have 3 people come up to us within a two minute fame (not even joking) and one of them told us to not touch anything which I get because of COVID-19 but she kept coming back with something new that we shouldn't do and all we were doing at that point was looking. I think she told her boss something and made him come over to talk to us but it was a super inconvenient. I think she thought we were gonna steal so I had to buy something to prove that I wasn't. It was an uncomfortable situation, I don't need workers looking over my shoulder and babying me; like calm down. read more

When you think of dillard's you think of quality and that is what I got, They are far better priced than men's warehouse and there craftsmanship is light years ahead, I like the feel of the store too, so easy to come and go! read more

The misses department in this store is just awful. The selection is good, but when we were there last night there were TWO sales associates for the entire store. All the carpets are dated and dirty. Only one dressing room was open that we could find. The dressing rooms smell awful, are hot, dirty, have only 2 hooks, poor lighting - the dressing rooms at WalMart are better. If you are spending hundreds of dollars on an outfit, you would like some level of service and a clean, nice environment to try it on. Very disappointing that this has been in this condition for YEARS and no improvements. The only reason I shop there is for the selection that is not available elsewhere in Wichita. read more

My son and I came in on 9-20-19 to get him fitted and buy suits. Mind you I'm black and my son/step son is biracial. We were pushed off to two other employees before being helped. We were both wearing causal clothes... sweats and t- shirts. The employee looked at us... like we were bothering him. I asked him to measure my son for a suit and shirt.. he looked at us and said," is the just for measurements or are you going to buy?" I responded with "possibly both." He appeared to be bothered. We asked him about different colors etc and he looked at me and laughed. I asked him what was funny. He did not respond but walked us out of the suit area to look at a vest, as if we didn't have money for a suit. He showed us the vest and told us to "maybe try this." He then walked away and chuckled as if we just wasted his time. I feel very upset and offended that it appears he acted on his perception that we would be unable to pay or that somehow our race or appearance made it unlikely we would purchase merchandise. What was meant to be a positive experience with purchasing my son's first suit, quickly turned to an unfortunate lesson for him regarding the realities of inequalities which remain in our society. read more
