The owner let them know in no uncertain terms that they could not exchange or return it and suggested they gift it to someone else who it would fit (a $5,000 plus fine jewelry gift!) The owner told them they shouldn't have bought the item in the first place (instead of thanking them for shopping with them). It was honestly shocking to me that they were unwilling to find a piece that would fit the person instead.
