A nice addition for Grand Junction. The Women's department is not as large as many other Dillard's stores. Still a solid selection. Assistance in the Women's department wasn't very friendly. But the nice lady in handbags was excellent. She helped me find a small wallet for a concert I was attending. read more

I was very disappointed with the customer service atmosphere at this location. I was minding my own business and employees constantly came up to me to ask if I needed something. I understand it's there job to check in and make sure I didn't need any help but it got to the point where I was very uncomfortable. They would follow me around the entire time and stare at me. It was very awkward and discomforting that I left and decided not to purchase anything. read more

I'm not a department store guy but I needed a suit. I met the kindest, most knowledgeable, saleperson named Gloria. She spent easily 20 minutes helping me get a good fitting suit, shirt etc..the whole experience was very pleasant and reminded me of precovid when most places had much better service...Gloria for employee of the year!!!! read more

OK, so most of us know Dillards, right? Good quality clothing, that is not offered at some of the other clothing and accessories stores. I have spoken to several employees at the Grand Junction Dillards store, and know of a few that quit, due to not being able to put up with management there. I saw Kaylee R's review, and from what I have been told, the main reason employees follow a customer around, is given Dillards sales philosophy, employees have to, and try to get as many sales as they can, if they want to keep their job, and/or get a raise. People have told me there is a lot bickering between employees, and major competition for sales, and a sales quota employees have to meet. One phrase used to describe the bickering and competition for sales was "Cut-Throat" IN MY Opinion...... Dillards needs a better selection process in hiring Store Managers, and if they want to promote from within, provide the necessary training for that Store Manager.........HR, Labor and Employment Laws, Team building, Human relations, Investigating and dealing with concerns/complaints, and MBWA - Get out of the office and out there on the floor a lot more. Good management is not just about the $$$. At the Grand Junction store, Dillards should implement and require that the Store Manager follow the "Servant Leader" philosophy, because currently, that is certainly not what is happening there. Things need to change, or there will be a lot of negative reviews. And yes, I have a Dillards card, but do not plan to use it in the future. read more
