No matter how many hours I have spent on the internet (yeah... a lot), shopping for boots, I have yet to have anything compare to Jerry Derby's store. I've been in this store (4) times in the past 2 years shopping for two daughters and my fiancée. On…read moreevery visit I feel I'm inconveniencing the staff by browsing. They always want to re-schedule for a later showing. Getting a woman in a store to try on dresses is hard enough without making her feel pressured or self conscious. Tonight, same thing, they wanted to rush us out of the store so they could get to the 'real' work of vacuuming and cleaning the mirrors for closing. They won't consider staying an extra 1/2 hour after closing to help a woman buy a $1000 dress? My fiancée would rather model dresses after hours when no other patrons can judge her. Now, we'll just order a dozen dresses from Amazon, make a selection, and send the ones back we don't like. I forecast another bankruptcy for David's Bridal, but for real next time.

I don't even buy new anymore because of this place. Resale is the way to go. I found a PERFECT LBD (little black dress) here for $5. Five. Dollars. Seriously. And just today, I bought 7 new tops, one fancy wool jacket from Old Navy, one pair of red high heels, and a black clutch (all photos are posted!) for $43 plus the $25 credit ($68 total) I got a couple weeks back when I sold them about 6 tops I didn't want anymore. It's incredible! I always find something here: shoes, jewelry, purses, dresses, tops. Their tops are usually $3-5, their dresses are anywhere from $5-12 - and they have a pretty nice selection of used formal dresses that are usually only up to $20, if that. Just go give the place a thorough look, or at the very least sell them some of your clothes (so I have more to look through). You won't be disappointed!
