I've been in this store (4) times in the past 2 years shopping for two daughters and my fiancée. On every visit I feel I'm inconveniencing the staff by browsing. They always want to re-schedule for a later showing. Getting a woman in a store to try on dresses is hard enough without making her feel pressured or self conscious. Tonight, same thing, they wanted to rush us out of the store so they could get to the 'real' work of vacuuming and cleaning the mirrors for closing. They won't consider staying an extra 1/2 hour after closing to help a woman buy a $1000 dress? My fiancée would rather model dresses after hours when no other patrons can judge her. Now, we'll just order a dozen dresses from Amazon, make a selection, and send the ones back we don't like. I forecast another bankruptcy for David's Bridal, but for real next time. read more

I went in wanting to exchange a dress that I bought that was too small. I was already a little stressed over some things that had happened earlier that morning prior to popping in unannounced and I was low on funds. Jessica and her team treated me wonderfully. On top of my challenges, I'm plus-sized petite. Shopping can be quite discouraging. I was well-taken care of and treated with respect and I left knowing that I will look beautiful for my vow renewal. I hate shopping and girly crap, but as a future wedding officiant I had to get a nice dress for the occasion. I mean it's not often that you get to marry your best friend to her other best friend! She understood my humor and brought me a pile of dresses I wouldn't have tried on my own, and in the end I purchased a dress I wouldn't have ever considered. DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS ALTERED HERE DRESS WAS RETURNED TO ME DIRTY FROM ALTERATIONS I bought a dress from you about a month ago and had an alterations appointment the same day. I cam today to pick up my dress and there was a large black ring around the entire hem of the dress that was not there when I had bought the dress. I have pictures to prove that. The dress had not left the store since I had bought it, and had been in the care of the alterations team the whole time. The alterations manager said she probably could not get it out because stains set in that type of fabric. She then took the dress to the back for about 5 minutes then came back and without showing me the dress just rushed me out of the store. I went to my car to look at the dress and about one inch of the black had been removed but there was still a considerable amount around the hem. I had to go back in and get her to take the dress back because this stain had been caused by someone on her team and the dress was being given to me in poor condition. About an hour later I came back and she had removed a little bit more of the stain but there is still quite a bit of black around the hem. She offered to keep the dress for cleaning and then ship it to me, but my wedding is only one week away. That is why I had the appointment today to pick it up. It should have been ready for me, I paid quite a bit of money for a clean white dress. It was not returned to me that way. Signs in the store guarantee a clean dress, and this was not delivered. The alterations team clearly got the dress dirty and didn't even try clean it before returning it to me. I am very upset about the poor customer service. Does no one check dresses before brides come to pick them up? The store manager said she couldn't even do any sort of refund or discount for my DAMAGED WEDDING DRESS. I am very upset that your team stained my dress and tried to sell it to me anyway. I really had to push to get the dress even partially cleaned. It is very unfortunate because I love the dress and wish it could be clean for my wedding day. The pictures below are after they "cleaned" my dress and I left with it because my wedding is near and I have no other choice. The black soot still goes almost all of the way around. They should really at least check the dresses before brides come to pick them up. **In the end, after pushing for some sort of help from the manager, they gave me a discount but its not even enough to get my dress dry cleaned. thanks but no thanks, David's bridal. David's Bridal was a great experience for my oldest daughters wedding. The few minor issues (which I took up with the manager)were corrected immediately. My advice to anyone planning a wedding? Start a year in advance!!!! And give the girls at the shop a break! Lol they are human like everyone else, things happen when planning a wedding, not everything can or will be perfect. David's Bridal gets 5+ stars in my book! My daughters gown was PERFECT! We had a blast! Will be back with my 3 other girls when their time comes to get married! When we decided to elope (a day ago!) I ran into David's Bridal and the entire team swept me off my feet. We had a dress, shoes and veil in 90 minutes which was pitch perfect. Old Hollywood glam for a winter mountaintop vowel exchange, and the experience was everything I could have hoped for in my spontaneous decision. My fiancé and I have been engaged for a few months, and since my mom passed I was dreading this dress experience to be honest. Carmen was flawless in helping me find the perfect style, and Jes provided the exact type of feedback I was looking for (helpful and honest!) Jes even hand altered the straps for me after purchasing. It was such a thoughtful touch. I'm beyond thrilled with my choice and came out with a stunning dress, veil and shoes for myself and a similarly styled beaded gown and shoes for my sister (the officiant!) for under $900 (including tax). David, you the real MVP. I needed a bridesmaid dress and I needed a bridesmaid dress FAST. I originally went into the Arvada location, but they tracked down the exact dress I needed at the Junction location. After a quick phone call, they made sure it was in mint condition (since it was a dress in the store it had been tried on by other people), they shipped it to me immediately and even provided the tracking number. Shipping was $15 and I got it in TWO business days! Hell, I could've waited another week to order it! Might've given the bride an anxiety attack though Lol Manager even let me use a "mother of the bride" $20 discount since the coupon we had was for "online orders only." read more

I visited the Grand Junction store and the consultant I worked with there was probably the best bridal consultant I had while shopping for a dress. I think her name is Jaime. If it were just her, I'd give this place a 5. She was amazing and not overly pushy. With the rest of the staff, it was an entirely different story. There was even one woman that exclaimed "oh my gosh that looks perfect on you" for pretty much every dress I tried. Some did not look good at all. They also made the poor girl call me frequently to follow up on the dress I found there, but decided against buying because I found one for less money and of a better quality elsewhere. Some of the dresses are very pretty and of decent quality. I might have purchased from here, but they just didn't have anything I loved. I went in with a list of about 20 dresses I found online that were supposed to be available in stores and they only had one in stock. I could also have done without the one lady gushing insincerely about every dress I tried on. It was frustrating. read more

I came out from Cali to GJ David's because my mom lives here and every girl needs her Momma there. I had looked up ideas prior and came open minded and willing to try other options. (Need to always be open minded). Well I had this lovely lady named Ashley. She's AMAZING. I talked to her on the phone prior to coming out and was hoping to have her and totally got her! I went to DB for my wedding dress and Bridesmaid dresses. I walked in they had already printed out my favorite dress from online. They got me fitted for under garments ( which the last bridal place did not and it was a mess, so it kept everything in place without being all exposed)! The gals that helped were Kristan and Noelle were very helpful asked lots of questions of what I liked, and as soon as I said "yeah no I don't like this" they took the dress off and got me something different! I had Noelle running all over the store and she was awesome! Kristan was extremely helpful! Once I found my dress they put a veil on and some jewelry and it helped me picture my self as a Bride! The next day I came in with a bunch of people (5 bridesmaids and a handful of family) I had Noelle helping me again. Again Noelle was running around getting everything I wanted and helping with switching out dress and sizes! It was a great experience and they made it not stressful and fun! read more

They said my bridesmaids dresses would be in a day before my wedding which they lied about (they came in earlier thankfully) but we freaked out over nothing. The girls working don't have a clue what they're doing. I felt very pressured to buy my wedding dress and and whole process was rushed and I wasn't 100% in love with it. And to top it all of my bustle broke on my wedding day. I would recommend shopping at a local bridal shop and not using this place. read more

I've never felt so unwelcome. When picking out your wedding dress you should feel excited. I felt pressure from the lady that was helping us. After I told her I had been engaged for two days and this appointment was to start the process of picking out my wedding dress, she immediately made me feel like I should leave. I bought my dress here in January. My consultant was amazing and so helpful. I wasn't to sure what I wanted, and she ended up picking out the perfect dress for me (even if I thought was hideous on the hanger). I had it altered here as well. When I went to try it on and take it home, it ended up being too small even though my dimensions hadn't changed. I had driven 4 hours to get there and was really frustrated when told I would have to come back the week before our wedding to get it. I talked to a manager and it all got sorted. The seamstress came in and fixed it (for free) within 2 hours and I got to take it home. I even got blood on it trying it on and that was completely gone as well. read more

I had a great experience at the GJ David's Bridal today, and as soon as I sat down I decided to write this. It was that good. :) When I walked in two ladies initially "signed me in." One was training the other, which was fine, they were both very kind. Also I need to add here...I'm an idiot and did NOT make an appointment, and it didn't matter, they saw me immediately. They assigned me to a consultant, Shannon, and she truly made this experience perfect, special, and one of a lifetime. She first gave me a tour of the store, and as soon as we met we just "clicked." She was very personable, friendly (but not too much...you know?), and I just really liked the approach she took with me. She asked what style I was looking for and figured out my style immediately (I'm a slightly older bride (31), wanted an Ivory/Champagne color, and didn't want to look like a "cupcake"). The first dress I tried on (which she was convinced I would love) was the one I ultimately went with, lol. But she let me try on 10+ dresses, all of a slightly different variety, and in the end I was torn between two of them. All of the consultants there (about 5 total dropped by when I was making my final decision and trying each one on over and over) and they all seemed genuine. None of them were like "OH, you look BEAUTIFUL!" at every single dress. They would say things like "well this one doesn't fit and flare like the other" and "well this one might be itchy and you said you didn't want it to be itchy." Like, saying actual helpful things. They even let me do things like sit in a chair and stand up, pretend to dance, walk around, etc., just to get a feel for the "right one." I left the store with my perfect dress (which was very affordable), a hair piece, and a slip, and am one very happy camper. Again, I can't say enough about Shannon. Absolutely horrible! I don't even know where to begin. My daughter went in in May, found the absolutely perfect dress, and after a run-around about using my husband's CC, I got my own and bought the $1500.00 dress. We were told we couldn't take that one, which fit like it was made for my daughter, but we were told the same one would be in for the fitting. When we went back for the fitting, the dress was TWO SIZES TOO SMALL, NOT b/c my daughter had gained weight, but because they ORDERED THE WRONG SIZE. Again, after another 2-hour run-around, they agreed to alter the dress. TO THE TUNE OF $400 MORE!!! I called a store on the front range the next day. They had the dress and could have it in GJ the next day, but we had already paid (not refundable) for the alterations. Finally, I was able to get a whole whopping $86.00 back after a lengthy discussion with a woman in the district office. Last, when we went to get the nearly $1800.00 dress, they gave us a big story about how they were too busy and we'd have to come another day. We set down our foot and lo and behold, when we went to pick up the dress, there wasn't another soul in the store. I can not say find another store strongly enough. Unprofessional. Rude. I went into the Grand Junction location hoping to walk out with a dress the same day. My salesperson (Brianna I think?) was great. She pulled up all the dresses I had favorited on the website before I got in the door, and by the time I had tried on two dresses she had my style completely figured out. From that point on she was pulling out dresses that were very flattering on me, and totally to my taste. The entire staff was great to my parents and brother who were in the peanut gallery. I thought I would never find THE dress at David's, but I walked out with a perfect dress in my size and within my budget, along with a bunch of coupons for bridesmaid dresses and tux rentals. I went in looking for a simple knee length to ankle length dress as this is my second wedding and we are going causal. Colleen was my salesperson and was just fantastic. She pulled a few options like those I had pictures of and a few other that she might be flattering. She was very knowledgeable about their stock and very good at finding something that worked for my body type. She was also very professional yet friendly. I wound up with more dress then I had pictured but it is very flattering on my figure (I have the middle age bulge) elegant yet perfect for a backyard wedding. I hope not to ever need another wedding dress but I would definitely return if I needed something formal. Thank You So much! read more

I wouldn't recommend David's Bridal to anyone. They ordered a bridesmaid dress 4 sizes too big so we had to pay to have it altered, not enough time to order another one. They have a ridiculous return policy which is none at all, even for head pieces off the rack. However they don't tell you that you can't return it until you get the receipt and it's too late then. Terrible terrible terrible!!!!! My wife went in to get a dress for her friends wedding that was out of town. First of all alterations ended up costing more than the dress. Second, after several times of going in for alterations on stuff that should of been easy to take in they ended up ruining the dress and gave no money for any of there mess ups just said we can order you another but it will come in after the wedding. Third they were very rude employees very quick to argue with customers and treating customers very badly. Pulled two things for a bride that needed many options to see what she liked and didn't. Didn't have much knowledge of fit for body types, didn't offer suggestions. They're very professional. I really enjoyed going in and looking at dresses. They helped in every way they could, even when my daughter was running around like a demon child, they were very patient. They were all very very nice women, with every dress I tried on, everyone walked by to look and to give compliments. They really make you feel beautiful and special here. Other dress shops really don't compare. I went in pretty close to my wedding date and they're trying their best to make sure everything is going to be ready. I've been to other David's Bridal's in other parts of the country and not been a big fan, but I really like this one, due entirely to their staff. They were very friendly, patient, and mindful of my budget. My consultant, Amelia, was especially sweet. Alterations did a nice job too. These folks are something else. We ordered a dress for our daughter 2 months in advance of her dance. Then they wanted to charge an expedited fitting charge because "we have a lot of dresses coming in at that time.". We looked at them incredulously - and I asked why it would be expedited when a) they should be ordering the correct size to begin with and b) they had two months to plan their staffing schedule for fitters!! They removed the charge. How many folks are blindly paying them expedited charges like that? I advised the manager that an expedited charge is reasonable if we needed it within the ext couple of days - perhaps even a week! But two months advance notice? No way. That's a staffing issue and the consumer shouldn't be paying for that. Be like us. Stand your ground. read more

The customer service here is TERRIBLE!!!! I'm not sure how this store keeps it's doors opened. Employees are VERY unprofessional and the training seems inadequate as the employees have a hard time even answering the phone let alone ordering a dress correctly. When the phone finally is answered you can hear the other employees in the background being very loud and obnoxious. Not professional at all! I just found out that I am getting married in 3 months. I know, sounds funny, but my mother in-law's health is not great and we don't want to miss her being a part of our special day. So here goes my review.... My first experience at David's Bridal in Grand Junction was on 9/7/15. I was greeted with a smiling, friendly voice when I called last minute to see if I could come in to look at wedding dresses, they had a labor day sale and I wanted to get the benefit of getting a few bucks off. Jessica was able to schedule me an appointment within 2 hours (thank you! Sale was ending that night). When I arrived I was again welcomed by Jessica and introduced to my bridal dress consultant, Shineka. who also greeted me with a smile, a handshake and a few questions about what I may be looking for. It was my first time in a bridal store looking for a dress. I had some ideas on pintrest that I shared and just then she jumped to work and went searching all over the store to capture my thoughts. She was patient with me as we tried on a few different style to rule them out. AND LADIES, THIS IS IMPORTANT! I was In and out of dresses for about 3 hours and not once did I feel rushed or pushed into liking one. And the whole time she was asking for feed back. Shineka asked about things that I liked, things that I didn't and each time would try to come up with more dresses that may work. She was really listening : ) As I got closer to "the one", she even had the seamstress come out (a few times) to see what changes could be made to make it look exactly how I wanted it. During this whole process Jessica was there as well to assist, giving an extra eye and ear to ideas, problems and concerns ( I really liked having two people to bounce ideas off of). On top of it all I kept these ladies here 2 extra hours past store closing. Not once or even slightly did I feel rushed or sense any frustration with them getting out of work late on the labor day holiday. These two girls deserve kudos for their professionalism, calmness, positive attitude and ease to work with and talk too. They were real, not fake or pushy, just nice real, people. I walked out of the store with my wedding dress (success)! Thank you ladies for a great experience! Only thing I would add about the store itself is, I wish the store had some more rose color options, and I would have like to see a aumbry color style train, but I realize those are not normal colors for a wedding dress. Doesn't matter much though, because within the first few minutes, I realized I liked the more traditional, romantic, ivory color the best. Thanks again. read more

Horrible customer service!!! I had my dress altered and they did a horrible job doing it! I am taking taking my dress to another place to have them fix it! It seemed like once they got their money they were done with you. Thank God I never have to do business there again..... I hope. They do not have a recommendation from me! My dress search started in May 2015, I went to DB and found my dress (first one I tried on!) it was tight and didnt zip but the sales lady said it would be fine as I was loosing weight. I bought the dress that day, then fast forward into the end of June, I tried on my dress again and it didnt fit ( tight in the ribs which you cant lose weight in that area. I took the dress back and they said they could order the next size up, 45 mins later they said they have to go 2 sizes up and alter. I was fine with that so I reordered the dress, the manager Lisa had put a rush on the order for thr time crunch. She was supposed to call me the next day with an ETA, I ended up having to call her, she stated it would be mid July, OK cool. So July 17th I have not heard anything so I call Lisa and she tells me the order hasnt shipped yet! I freak out and cancel the order in store and order it myself online. Get dress #3 and the zipper is broke and the wrong size was sent to me! I started over at DB with Colleen and SHE IS AMAZING. She helped me see no other dress would be my dress like the ones I was having problems with. Colleen and Kristan get my dress reordered and shipped to me.... Yay. I go to try it on with the alterations dept and the zipper is busted AGAIN! The alterations manager is RUDE the entire time then tells me Well we are pressed for time with this.... Really?!? DB ordered 4 yes 4 dresses and the rude lady is blaming me???? So September 2nd I have an appt at 6:00 with the alterations dept for the free fixed zipper, I show up 5 mins early mind you. The rude alterations manager comes out at 6:07 and tells me to wait as she helps someone else! After the previous lady left I asked rude lady My appt was at 6 correct? She says yes but that other lady was running late so you have to wait. Um no my appt was scheduled 2 1/2 weeks ago. So would I use DB again? Nope. Never for anything. The alterations manager ruined it for DB and should be fired. read more
