On vacation with Mom, and she wanted to see if Dillard's had anything on sale. She has a few gift cards she wanted to use. After looking around, we decided to go check out the rest of the mall. The staff at Dillard's seemed welcoming, friendly, and helpful. As always, there is also a ton of merchandise offered. No lack of inventory to look through and purchase. Guess inflation has affected every aspect of life as the prices seemed to be as high as ever. At least the store was clean and smelled good, especially the perfume and cologne area. read more

I called and the person that answered the phone had no customer service skills whatsoever. She acted as if answering the call was disturbing her. Who's doing the hiring there? Are they hiring people off the street with no manners? It's pathetic how employees treat customers on the phone as well as in person. I'm definitely not going to spend my money at that store! By the way, I was reading other reviews and noticed a generic response to all of the negative reviews. Who do they think they're kidding?! I don't get out to the mall very often My experience has been that it is impossible to find somebody to help In a department store So may as well shop on line. I was so pleased with the number of people working at Dillards willing to help me and in a very professional manner. Adding extra stars because my recent trips to Dillard's have been amazing, especially staff member "Nancy" at the M. A. C. make up counter. She helped me out big time finding all the right products, for my skin. Also the folk at the James Avery counter for laughing with us and not being judgy towards me or my outspoken and vibrant friend as we shopped for jewelry. I was in store yesterday and purchased towels. Got a e-mail today that towels were 40% off. I called store and asked to return merchandise, and repurchase at new price. I was told by management that they do not allow price adjustments. I could return towels but could not repurchase them at new price. I have been a customer at Dillards since they opened the store in Corpus Christi, loved this store when Mike Grulke was the manager. Have never been treated like this, so I am cutting up the Credit Card and will not be a customer after I return the towels today. Very sad treatment and not good practice in a city this size. I learn my lesson about once a year with Dillard's. The return policy is so bias. I usually shop elsewhere because they are so rude and mean. I bought a pair of shoes & the box got thrown out before i figured out i needed a half size bigger. (online) I called to inquire about an exchange. No way! $200 down the drain. Had the worst experience. I ordered shoes on curbside and received my confirmation number right after via email. Nowhere on the website did it indicate I would have to wait to pick up my shoes. I sent my wife to go pick them up and when she got there she was sent all the way to the back where the customer service counter is. There were two older ladies working who were rude and informed her the shoes would not be in until Monday. They didn't offer to help or alter the order in anyway and merely acted as if they were being bothered by the questions. My wife had other items in her hands she was purchasing and they didn't even bother to help her with those either. My wife ended up checking out in the dress section and the young lady who checked her out there was extremely helpful and kind. She had great customer service skills and read more

Staff was nice at checkout; however, the fitting room in juniors department was horrible! It look as if 20 people had gone in before me & left their discarded items. With the amount of employees and customers I would think that the dressing rooms would be empty in between or at least after every few customers. Funny enough, an employee had to unlock the dressing room for me to use. read more

Customer service in the juniors department upstairs is not what I expected. Usually when a Dillard's employee sees a shoppers hands full of clothes they ask "would you like to start a fitting room?" I was at Dillard's to spend money not to be looked at up and down by the three young ladies that worked in the department, who were just standing around gossiping. I absolutely hate when employees automatically think you're going to steal before even offering help and this is exactly what I received. Walking around me back and fourth over and over to see if I was going to steal because my hands were full of clothes. I don't know who does the Dillard's hiring but they need to really pay attention who is kind and caring enough to help the people who walk into their store to shop. On another hand Rosemary who works in the Men's polo department downstairs is the sweetest women who is at your service and ready to do whatever a customer asks. I'm giving 3 stars because the service is good. But I had a weird experience here. I was being sold a type of shoe by a salesperson, I told them I hadn't realized these shoes served the purpose I needed them for, the salesperson proceeded to say the type of shoe is "usually used as a fashion accessory in certain cultures depending on which one we're talking about". I don't care to specify too much but I felt it was intended to be offensive. We were then told by said salesperson that we must always honor our soldiers and pay respect no matter our political party or age and yadda yadda...both comments were irrelevant and I felt uncomfortable so needless to say I didn't buy the shoes lol. Just found out a shoe I purchased on line less than 24 hours ago is now on sale $34.00 cheaper. Called their corporate office and was told to return the shoe and purchase a new one at cheaper price. Unfortunately, it is the only size 7 they have in this shoe. They do not do price adjustments, soooo, basicly they said I'm out of luck. Sad way to keep their customers happy and coming back. First; I tried using a gift card to buy something and the lady wouldn't let me. She was very rude about it too. . Then I Waited in line at customer service to return it and wasn't even acknowledged for about 10 minutes. A little reassurance would've been nice, like a "we'll be right with you." I WAS a frequent shopper, spending an average of $1,200 a month or more. I'm new to Corpus so this is the only somewhat high end store to shop. Here is my issue and my experience. 1. I had bought a Patricia Nash purse decided I wanted the bigger on so instead of the store clerk doing an exchange she refunded my card than recharged my card causing a big inconvenience the store clerk was so busy talking or shall I say gossiping to another store clerk and security officer about their manager being a bitch yes I had to endure this distasteful conversation. I asked the store clerk why are you charging my card when I used a gift card I wanted to exchange it called the General Manger no call back did call corporate office and they took care of me... again the Corporate office took care of me not this local Dillard's. So o decided to do some shopping on this past Tuesday when the clerks were overly aggressive to the point I could not enjoy shopping. They kept following me making me feel very uncomfortable. I went to pay for my items some were on sale with some kind of sticker. Well the clerk went onto say this sale sticker doesn't match the shirt and called manager that when she finally realized it was correct no apologies was offered. So manager stayed their and observed all the items that I had purchased with a line behind me. I was humiliated embarrassed that I was treated in such a disrespectful way. I called to speak to a manager and again no answer. There was a lady behind me that was kind enough to video of the issue so I can have it for legal purposes I am a white woman trying to buy me clothes with no issues. I think because I am a white woman and these women were Mexicans I was truly discriminated on. Thankfully to the lady behind me will certainly prove that. So if anyone is interested from Dillard's to call me back Togo over this issue I will be glad to otherwise i am going to file a lawsuit for discrimination. Thank you read more
