I really cannot recommend this company enough. I got several quotes, and theirs was very competitive. I checked and made sure they were licensed and bonded as well as looked at BBB and Yelp reviews before choosing them. I have 3 cats, and had carpet in my bedrooms, which just wasn't working out, so I wanted to replace the carpet luxury vinyl planking. They came out and measured and sent me a quote the same day. They also hooked me up with Flooring Liquidators, and I was able to get exactly what I wanted reasonably priced. Originally I was told it would take 2 - 2 1/2 days for the project, but they finished in 1 1/2 days. They showed up a little early both days and communicated clearly what the plan was and what they were doing. I absolutely love my new floors and highly recommend them. read more

Sean and his guys at Diligent flooring did an awesome job. Sean gave me helpful advice on the front end before I purchased the materials. They did 1,200 sq feet of vinyl planning and installed new base boards in 2 days! End result was awesome. All the cuts on the flooring and base boards are very precise. We are super happy, highly recommend Diligent Flooring! read more

I can't even give them 1 star but I have to to post a review here is why. They did a great job on my floor, however they broke two tiles in my shower and will not replace them or fix the situation. In addition. They left my fireplace unfinished. It is sad that Diligent does not care enough about their business to make sure their customers are satisfied. read more

I've installed flooring in other homes before and I have to say that Sean was by far the BEST to deal with. So glad I found him. He was super helpful from day one with helping me chose which flooring to go with and which ones to stay away from. Once I had the flooring at home, I called Sean and his guys were installing my floor the next day. They finished 1300 sf with new baseboards in 2 1/2 days. No cutting corners in prep work like others I've dealt with. The job is only as good as the prep work and these guys did an awesome job on the prep. No seams, no dips, no off-cuts...excellent work. read more

Sean, Tony, and Tim at Diligent Flooring rescued our floors. We had hired another tile installer who struggled to remove our existing tile and soon found out he was in over his head. At that point we knew we had to find someone we could trust to do the job right. This was too big of an investment. Tony came out to measure for a quote and assured us that they could finish the project. They were able to start the next week and from the first day we knew we had made a good decision by switching to Diligent Flooring. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Turns out our foundation was in very poor shape hidden under our carpet and pad. It was no where near level. Sean and his team worked extremely hard to make the foundation level in order to lay our porcelain wood plank tiles. We had a total of 2,300 sq ft of tile and they did an awesome job, even removing and relaying the tile in some areas because Sean wanted to make sure it was done as if it were his own. They all worked very hard for two full weeks and completed the project beautifully. These guys know what they are doing. They were very pleasant to have in our home and we felt very comfortable having them here. We would highly recommend Diligent Flooring! read more

Diligent Flooring is a wonderful company to choose for your flooring needs!! According to the dictionary, diligent means "Having or showing care and conscientousness in one's work or duties". Well this term describes Sean and his team from Diligent Flooring perfectly!! We had such a wonderful experience working with them. After 16 years, we decided that it was time to change most of the flooring in our home. We called several companies for quotes on doing the floor installation. My wife and I were most comfortable with Sean and his team. Tony came over at the scheduled time and date to take the measurements of our floors. He was professional, friendly, and answered all our questions. My wife did most of the talking over the phone with Sean. He also answered all of our many questions, gave us great information, and was easy to talk to. They promptly submitted the quote estimate to us through email. The price was very reasonable and very detailed!! Good to have an itemized breakdown of what everything will cost so there are no surprises! After choosing Diligent Flooring, we scheduled the installation to take place 2 weeks later. Again, they arrived at the agreed schedule. We met Sean face to face for the first time, and we felt validated that we had made the correct choice!! He worked on our floors along with Tony and Edgar (I think that is his name). Sean has other members of his team from Diligent Flooring that may help you and I have a feeling that they are all very good, too. From demolition (the removing of our old carpets) to installation and everything in between, they did an amazing job!!! Took them 3 days to finish. They were fast, meticulous, careful, honest, and professional throughout the entire process. I have to give a shout out to two of my fellow Yelpers for recommending Sean and his Diligent Flooring team. Thank you Will A. and Charisse A. for recommending them. Without a doubt, we also HIGHLY recommend Diligent Flooring!!! Make sure to call Sean before deciding which company to entrust your flooring needs to. Thanks again Sean for the great job by you and your team!! We are very happy with the results!! read more

Shawn, owner of Diligent flooring is an amazing guy. He is so hard working and not your basic undependable, flaky, construction guy. He gets the job done and done right. He also leaves no mess behind. Diligent flooring is a great flooring installer. They come in and measure without much drama and have really great prices. Even more than prices, their finished work is superb! I've had them do my wood floors, carpet, and recommended them to friends. Friends I have recommended Diligent Flooring to have come back to me saying how happy they were with the work and prices. Shawn is also known to make great product recommendations. He is about giving you what you want and is most of all, wait for it... DILIGENT! If you have the need for new floors and want the best installer at the best price, please call Shawn at Diligent Flooring. He will do a GREAT job for you. Tell him Will sent you for a puzzled look and the question, "Who's Will?." read more

Definitely, one of the less responsive and unprofessional interactions I've had. They even scheduled a visit to take measurements and didn't show up. When I inquire if they were late or not coming, there was no response or proposal of a different time. I would not recommend starting a job with this company. They may not commit to continuing the work once it's started. read more

Sean, Tony and Gil of Diligent Flooring did a 10 plus job at my home. Arrived daily on time, layed 1300 sq ft of laminate, 125 sq ft of tile and another 35 sq ft of detailed cement tile. Every piece was installed as if it was there own home. They also reinstalled all my trim pieces perfectly. They even moved in furniture that I had stored in garage previously. I work in commercial construction and I would HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you again for making this girl very happy. read more

Sean was very difficult to work with. Took the job knowing the time frame and that there would be other workers and then refused to work on days others were there working. He would not communicate with them to try and get the job done. Then complained about the job taking too long and not getting paid. He was paid the day work was finished. His team on the other hand was was great when there. read more

Since there the rating does not have a place for zero , my choice is 1 star, we are new to Bakersfield so I must rely on internet ratings to select contractors and this company seem like they could accomplish what I needed . I phoned and the owner had me text him my home info etc etc, he set up an appt. for this past Mon. 4:30 pm and around 4pm we texted him to confirm that he will be at our home , we received a text back indicating he would not be able to make it " tied up on another job " so ,OK it happens, we then set up another appt. for Wed. today between 9-10am which was at his asking on the time frame so we agreed he was a no show today without a word.. Contractors are busy we get that but they should also be able to manage appointments they have agreed nothing ruins a business like bad customer care . Karen D read more

Just had 1900 sf of wood look tile installed in my home by one of Sean's crew along with new base board throughout. They did an awesome job and finished two days ahead of schedule. I got three different quotes for the work, one was double the price and the other after hearing that Diligent Flooring had already given me a quote said that he couldn't beat Sean's price and never got back to me. I am doing a complete remodel of my house and am dealing with multiple contractors for painting, cabinets etc and it was nice dealing with at least one who answers his phone when I call. Very honest and did a first class job at a fair price, what else needs to be said? read more

This review is for Diligent Flooring in San Diego. Cooper was the installer and he had George helping him. We put in 1,100 sq feet of vinyl plank flooring. Cooper did an awesome job. He really knows his stuff and easily handled all aspects of the install without an issue. He has an amazing attitude, is respectful of your home and is easy to have around during the installation. He followed through on everything he said he would do during the initial measure and didn't add on any extra fees at the end. We couldn't be happier with the end result. I highly recommend Diligent Flooring for your install and you will really enjoy working with Cooper if you have the opportunity. read more

Sean and Tony installed about 350' of floor and 140' of baseboard at our house today. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the experience. Both men are extremely professional, talented, personable and just overall are fun to be around. They made me feel at ease having "strangers" in my house while I ran a couple errands (which is very hard to do). The finished product was beautiful and completed timely, great work Gentlemen. I'd highly recommend (and will personally refer to friends and family). As an added bonus, Sean is an Army Veteran/Business Owner. Buy Local and Support Vets every chance we get. Thanks again. read more

You will be hard-pressed to find a company that respects you and your home more than Sean and his team at Diligent Flooring will. I am currently in the middle of a complete home floor remodel, and the company I contracted with sent Diligent Flooring over to do the demo and install of the new flooring. I will update my rating with before and after photos once the work is complete. Sean and his team were able to demo my nearly 2000sf home, with three different flooring types (most of it tile), and reserve my baseboard for future use in less than two days. They have paid attention to detail and talked me through every process. They arrived when they said they would, they got straight to work, and they have exceeded my expectations thus far. Having work done in your home is a stressful process and Sean has alleviated a TON of that for me by being extremely helpful with his knowledge and insight, and his ready & willingness to not only do the job, but to do the job to my liking. I went by my home to check the progress after day one and was shocked at how clean they had left my home, which is basically a full-blown construction site (I am also having my kitchen remodeled at the same time). I really appreciated the respect that they showed my home, and that alone warrants a 5-star rating. I am very impressed with Sean and his team thus far, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my closest friends and family. read more

Just installed new floors in our house. Very professional! Did a great job. Would highly recommend them.

Work quality good, but attitude of employee Sean was extremely poor. When asked why the agreed upon procedure was not being followed he became defensive and said he could always walk away from the job. Company has been very understanding of the problems. Wrong pad, and vinyl missing. Crew doing the work are great, won't recommend Sean. But the company still worth the hassle, price and quality are very good. read more

Great service, guys showed up every weekday until the job was done, timely. I had hardwood installed in the bedrooms and living room plus vinyl in 16x16 squares in the kitchen and bathrooms. These people look professional but are very unprofessional. We just had wood flooring put throughout our four bedroom house and a week later the floor boards were popping up and sliding apart . The best part is to fix it they hammer the pieces together and put extra pieces of a different kind of flooring other then the one we ordered and glue it down. When I went to inspect it the guy told me wel if your going to be on your hands and fet all day your going to see the faults. I hammered it together. I told him him I'm standing up and I can still see it. These people do terrible work and do not take into consideration anything the homeowner tells them. read more

Diligent Flooring installed my flooring about 2 years ago and did a great job. I recently remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms and needed some repairs done to the flooring. So, I consulted Sean and he said it would be no problem and take about half a day to complete. Upon the first scheduled appointment, an employee of Sean's was sent to repair my floor. He claimed he was told it would be a quick repair of 1 board in the corner and that he couldn't fix my flooring because it would take too much time. I was confused because I had already consulted with Sean and discussed exactly what needed to be done. When I asked Sean what happened, he just said that his worker is a cry baby and doesn't want to work hard. No apology was given. So, Sean said he would have to come out personally and it would be another 2 week wait. I verbally confirmed the second appointment the day before. Sean failed to show up and no notification was given to me. I texted him. No response. I spoke with Sean the following day and asked why he didn't show up, and his response was, "I am a busy man." I then asked why I should be complacent with being stood up with no explanation as to why, and his response was, "I am a busy man. You should find someone else to do your flooring." Again, no apology was given. Sean is not the only one in this world that is busy and values his time. My time is just as valuable. I would rather of been told from the beginning that he was not available, and perhaps given a referral to someone else he trusted. This is a horrible way to run a business and treat your customer! read more
