I had the guys at Michael flooring install new carpet at my home and it was an easy and smooth transaction. Nick was an easy person to communicate with and he answered any and all questions I had. The install crew did a great job and I'm happy with the results. Thanks Michael Flooring! read more

Returning customers! We had flooring installed 5 years ago and figured our information and flooring would no longer be available. To our surprise, we were wrong. Nick helped get us set up to install the same flooring in three additional rooms. He made the whole process quick and easy. Nick had great communication throughout the whole process from ordering the floor, scheduling an installation and calling to check in after it was completed. The installation was done in a day and we couldn't be happier. We still have another room to complete and will be back to work with this company again when we are ready. read more

We had them do our entire house in laminate flooring. They have a very large selection of flooring and very nice and friendly salespeople. The men who came out to the house to put in the flooring were very nice and professional. All around great experience read more

Very disappointed, I ordered flooring on October 10, 2025, choosing Wingback Brown, but the store entered it as Windsor Brown by mistake. The wrong color materials were picked up from the store and installed by my installer while I wasn't there. The store admitted the error but only offered 10% store credit and 15% off future orders, which doesn't resolve the problem. Very disappointed with how this was handled read more

We hired them to install our countertops. They send someone to measure and gave us an estimate of how much it was. We agreed and paid. Once the installer came to the house , he said that we needed support bars for the quartz and those were extra $$. We talked the sales rep, Nehad Estafanous, and she said that she didn't know we wanted those. Although the installer said those were necessary to prevent the quartz from breaking in the future. Nehad said that they were planning to use the old wood support piece to lay the quartz on top, and that we should have known we needed it before it was removed. The old piece of wood would be showings about 5 inches below the quartz, and it's 21 years old!!! She refused to eat the cost of bars or installation. Not to mention that the installer was always late or didn't show up for measurements. Horrible customer service. read more

I was very pleased with my floors from Michael's. Our family worked with Nicholas, who was very professional and checked in with us as the work was being done. We had both vinyl installed in our hallway and living room spaces and carpet in all the bedrooms. The carpets are such great quality and the vinyl looks beautiful! Absolutely would recommend. read more

In considering a whole house floor replacement, we came to Michael's on the recommendation of a friend. Mason helped us with all the questions in searching for the right type of flooring for us, he was very knowledgable and patient. Once that decision was made, we worked with Jaime, our installer. He truly is a craftsman, paying attention to detail and in two areas in particular, a rounded soaking tub and the hearth by the fireplace, first class work for sure. Would highly recommend Michael's Flooring. read more

(2 MONTH UPDATED REVIEW): We had an absolutely terrific experience using Michael Flooring. I'll talk a little bit about that here in my review, but most of that can be found in my previous review. I mainly want to talk about how it's been holding up for the past two months and the quality of the materials. When my wife and I first walked into the design center of Michael flooring we are looking to get new vinyl floors and carpet for our house. We were first approached by Nehad, our sales person, who actually is the person that I first talk to on the phone. She did a great job by presenting us a lot of different options both with the vinyl and the carpet. She also did a very seamless job of balancing giving us direction, but then giving a space to make around informed decision after giving us all of the education we could want about the different types of products, she even will go back to her desk to give me and my wife's space to be able to make our own decisions and not feel pressured at all, which is very common to happen at places like this, which is honestly was not what I was expecting to happen, but I was greatly Surprised, and pleased that that wasn't the case here at Michael flooring! Now to the quality of the materials. The quality of the carpet and the vinyl is very high-quality with a combination of our sales persons knowledge of selecting the right type and with just the fact that they carry very high-quality choices of materials in the past two months it has held up very well. It literally looks like they installed it yesterday! The carpet we chose was the Shaw pet grade which has the R2X technology, built-in, that the carpet is treated with, with the anso nylon fibers. I didn't know that it had this in it, but I didn't realize how great this carpet actually was until we had a couple accidents with our dog. When I discovered the pet accident, it literally stayed on top of the carpet and didn't even go through it at all. Which was fantastic because I don't even know how long it was sitting there, but all I had to do was take a paper towel and lightly dab it, and it was gone like whenever I've been there before. Picking new carpet and flooring and even backsplash in your kitchen (which we also did with them) is a very important and big decision to make since it's a big financial decision. And really Michael Flooring made it very easy throughout the entire process even with a few minor hiccups that were discovered in demolition during the installation process (not their fault) and one small thing afterwards, they were so quick to go out of their way and help to make things right in an instant! They are the first ones I will be calling if I ever need new flooring again or need to recommend someone to get flooring done again that's in Kern county. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache on who to call. Just call Michael flooring! read more

I had 800 sqft of tile to take out of my house and I wanted to get my whole house in wood looking vinyl flooring which was 2000sqft. The salesman that I worked with was Vince and he was super attentive and friendly. He made sure I knew the differences between the types of vinyl. He was very knowledgeable. Prices are competitive and they really worked with my budget. They have a mind blowing selection!! I was kind of overwhelmed at first. The installers were very professional and did a spectacular job paying close attention to every detail. Michaels flooring exceeded my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great deal and superb experience. The photos attached show the attention to detail. I am amazed. read more

We had a great experience with Michael Flooring. Nehad was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and made sure we got the best pricing available. The carpet was high quality and reasonably priced, and the installation was quick and professionally completed. Highly recommend! read more

I would never use this company again. Installation took three and one-half days when I was told two days max. They showed up late morning everyday with the excuse of working other jobs. They damaged the plaster on walls and around door trim than conveniently did not try to fix the problem. Never again. read more

Great service and prices. Very large selection of of products. Convenient location and there warehouse is very close by.

After reading the great reviews here, my husband and I were disappointed with the service we received from Michael Flooring. While the men contracted to remove our carpets/install the flooring were professional and did a great job (we do love our floors!), our whole experience was clouded by the lack of communication throughout the entire process. Mason was our point person, and he initiated conversation just one time-- the day after the job was done, when it was time to pay the remaining balance. During this whole 3 week process, we had to either call him or come in for all updates. Example: we were asked to give 2-3 days for Mason to finalize an installation date, but it took us reaching out 3 different occasions (2 over the phone, 1 in person) to finalize this, about 2 weeks later. It was finalized in 10 minutes when he called and texted the contractors while we sat in the store. Example: we reached out 2 different occasions regarding the delivery of the quarter rounds for our painter to paint, prior to the vinyl installation. Mason dropped them off, after our paint job was already completed, so our painter offered to paint them on his day off... and our painter was the one to tell us that Mason had delivered the wrong materials (he delivered coated MDF, versus solid pine). We had hired professionals and put our trust in them to deliver the right materials/service; it was astounding that my painter had to explain to Mason that he had delivered the wrong materials. A waste of our time, and our painter's time. Lastly, I was disappointed because we had come in and spoke with Mason directly about our frustrations. While our feelings were graciously acknowledged, we ultimately did not see any change. read more

In the time it's taking Home Depot to return my call, Michael Flooring has consulted, come to my home and inspected, and installed brand new carpet in two rooms. Nehad knew exactly what I was looking for, answered all my questions and got me a great deal. She had a technician out to my house in a matter of hours and scheduled the install for the next day. She was quick to respond to my texts and I'm thoroughly impressed with the installation. This is a rental property, stock carpet installation. Thank you read more

Horrible service!!, would not recommend this place, they will promise that using them would assure that the entire job is guaranteed thru Michael flooring since they claim to have their own in house demo team and installers. First of all they called me 2 weeks after I gave them a $10,000 deposit check and told me they lost it, so luckily it didn't end up bad and I was able to put a stop payment and give them a new check!! ( how does this happen?) well the installation was done fine but the installers stained our expensive steal front doors with the glue loosening product during the demo ( which was completely obvious how it happened) I called them and they immediately denied responsibility, so I insisted that they come look at it for themselves, when the manager showed up it was obvious that he had already had it in his mind that he was going to continue denying it, even after I showed him without a doubt how it happened. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and offered absolutely no help or compassion for our situation, this guy is not qualified to manage a lemonade stand much less a high end flooring company!!, I am very disappointed with the treatment I received from them and warn others that once they receive your payment, they no longer know you!! read more

I have absolutely the upmost respect for this flooring store, straight to the point and honestly exceeded my expectations. I read so many reviews about other nearby flooring but they had the best reviews. Mason was aware that we lived 3 hours away but made sure he was available and always ready to take on any questions we had. Mason quoted the job to be done in 2 1/2 days but finished in 2! The floors look amazing, the transitions and borders are absolutely beautiful. It made such a huge difference to our home, we got so many compliments and already referrals for him! We decided we loved their service so much that we're re hiring them again to install the carpet upstairs! Anyways, look to speak to mason and we recommend this place 100%!!! We started our full house floor replacement with Michael Flooring and that's where we ended up. Their quote was reasonable and all inclusive, which was not our experience with some others in town. We went to two other well known places plus the big box stores. We got quotes from all of them plus private installers (in case we bought the material separate from the install). In the end, we chose Michael Flooring. Mason is very knowledgeable and helpful. When our carpet choice was going to be delayed, Mason contacted us immediately and offered several options. He knew our price point and color preference, and offered quite a few options, with the info on how each option would effect our original quote. * with a remodel project as big as this, our whole house, it was comforting and reassuring to deal with someone who was upfront and had ALL the info we needed. The installer that they had for us was TOP NOTCH!!! Jamie was professional, on time, kept everything cleaned up, and ahead of schedule. We had vinyl plank laid in all common areas of our home, including linen closet and a walk-in storage room. We had carpet laid in the bedrooms and the closets. Thank you Mason, Jamie, and Michael Flooring!!! We love it ! read more

Yesenia was our design consultant and everything was smooth and easy from beginning to end. We had already had several quotes until we stumbled into Michael's and met Yesenia so we already had a good idea of what we were looking for. We explained to her what we wanted and within a few minutes she had several samples pulled and we found our floor. Yesenia came out and measured our house and got a quote out to us in the same day. She got the ball rolling very quick. Yesenia checked in several times during demo, install and then came out personally to inspect it was done right. Javier Sanchez and his install team were also amazing. Very professional, hard working and a true master at his craft. I highly recommend to anyone Michaels flooring and design center and you must ask for Yesenia when you go in. Thank you Yesenia for making me fall in love with my home all over again. read more

I wish I would've read reviews before making a purchase here. I was told we would get a call the following day to know when our order would arrive and we never received a call. When I called to get an update they told me they would call the warehouse and give me a call by the end of the day an nothing once again. I'm calling a third time to see what is going on and the rude receptionist didn't even let me finish talking before she just cut me off and transferred me, left me on hold for 15 minutes. I just called a 4th time and I got transferred to the same guy that "would give me a call back" and he finally sent the pick up ticket to warehouse so I can pick up my items. It's not ok to take clients money for items purchased and then not give them a call back to follow up with them. I waited 2 weeks knowing nothing about our order read more

After having laminate flooring installed throughout our house, as well as carpeting in three bedrooms, I wrote a positive review. A few months later, I have an update, which unfortunately is not positive. We have developed several dead spots in our laminate. It has become clear that these dead spots are resulting from the floor not being level in those areas. During the installation, there was no effort on the part of Michael's to make sure the floor was level prior to installation. After consulting Michael's, we were told that to do repairs, we would have to tear up vast sections of the laminate, at our expense. We would have to pay the cost of the labor as well as the replacement panels. On Youtube, we have discovered ways to target repair jobs without having to remove additional panels. It would seem reasonable that Michael's would be aware of these targeted repair methods. We are still under warranty, and it seems unreasonable that we would have to pay for the replacement panels. If Michael's had made sure that our floor was level, we would not be having this issue. As a consumer, I realize my mistake in assuming that Michael's would have made sure our floor was level prior to installation. For our $14,000 investment, we are disappointed in Michael's response to our situation. Michael C. read more

Just left this place about 30min ago. Worst employee ever. Inhumane, discriminates, judgmental and plain pathetic employee. Professional, great customer service and amazing work! Michael flooring made our installation of 3400 square feet of flooring an easy process. I had gathered several bids from different flooring companies in order to compare pricing and professionalism. When Benny from Michael Flooring came out to estimate my home, he was by far the most knowledgeable. His pricing was fair and comparable to the other bids I received, but it was his professional, timely responses that stood out among the rest. He and his installers were always on time, had great communication, and really had an eye for details. In fact, their work was impeccable! I bought kitchen countertops from this place this summer. Luis is the person who helped me. I told him my concerns with going with real marble for a kitchen counter top and he assured me that it will fine. Going against my better judgement I purchased them. I wanted a marble look and should have went with something more practical. Now just a few months later I'm having issues with staining and etching. When I called back I was told by Liz that she would never recommend real marble for a countertops because of how porous the material is. I absolutely hate my kitchen and spent my savings on this remodel. I trusted them as the professional and now I realize they did what they could to make a sale. Please do not do business with them. read more
