We had a great experience with Carpet Cave. We chose our carpet in the showroom on Monday and it was installed on Thursday. The price was fair and the quality on par. It was nice to deal locally and avoid the big box stores. Andy was our installer and was fantastic. We asked him to do some additional work and he obliged. I highly recommend you give Carpet Cave a chance before committing elsewhere. read more

I filed a claim with my home insurance company for floor detaching, they sent American Leak Detection who said the floor issue was due to improper installation, so insurance company won't cover replacement. Carpet Cave claims they moisture tested, but there's no record and we recall asking for it and the installer saying we didn't need it because the house was relatively new. The floor sounds like horses clomping around when we walk. I guess it's a good alarm system. Filing with small claims is a boatload of paper work so I'm looking at a complaint with the state contractor's license board. It boils down to whether or not Carpet Cave moisture tested and prepped the floor or if my concrete slab suddenly became wet after a proper installation. (For fun I pulled up about forty planks and put them in the sun to flatten them out. It seems to work for a while but when they cool the warp returns.) read more

Excellent inventory. Knowledgeable staff. Prompt service. Excellent pricing. All around cool people. I needed carpet installed in my new house before move-in. They promptly ordered it, and it got installed less than 1 week than anticipated. Great experience. Pro-tip: If you are projected to have leftover carpet they can help you arrange to have rugs, runners, etc. made from it. Support your local old school businesses! read more

We could not be any happier with Carpet Cave. We were going to have our main living quarters done year ago, unfortunately the fire took place. We waited until they reopened and glad we did. Carpet Cave Owner Jean and Office Manager Lynda have been extremely patient and accommodating of my needs as a home buyer in escrow during a pandemic. My project was hardly their first rodeo. But with the complexities of COVID-19, it was anybody's guess as to what might happen during this process. Escrow took longer than expected, floor installers were all booked up because some homeowners now working remotely opted to make upgrades, and my chosen flooring had to ship from Reno to Bakersfield. Long story short, it miraculously all came together. I am completely thrilled with the results! Carpet Cave simply has everything. Whatever you need, they will source it for you and install it beautifully. I got lucky as Carpet Cave was listed as the ONLY local dealer of the flooring I chose called Forbo Marmoleum Click Cinch Loc. It is all natural Linoleum, sustainable, and non-toxic. The color I selected is Pacific Beaches. Have a look below (baseboards are only primed) at my project and don't hesitate to call or visit Carpet Cave to find out more. Their longtime experience is hard to duplicate. I have little doubt you will be just as thrilled as I am with your end results. Thank you so much, Carpet Cave! read more

Wonderful company with fantastic customer service. Went above and beyond with our purchase of carpet. A small sale for them( one bedroom) but they treated us so well as if we had purchased carpet for an entire home. Highly recommend!! read more

We were in the process of getting quotes for tile planks and had almost committed to one when a neighbor recommended Carpet Cave. Not only did we end up choosing luxury vinyl tile (LVT) instead of tile, the installation was top notch. The other quotes insisted we'd have to replace our baseboards which added a significant cost to the project. But Carpet Cave had another solution that didn't add any cost and it looks perfect. Also, the installers moved our furniture out and in. Others wanted to charge for that but Carpet Cave didn't charge extra. The price was great and the LVT looks and feels fabulous! We love it. read more

This was the worst experience I've had with a flooring contractor. After visiting the showroom and picking out two materials, carpet and laminate, I ordered the carpet installer (who was a disaster, by the way) to show up and Carpet Cave brought the material and instead of installing laminate, they installed all carpet! When I brought it to the owner's attention, he didn't offer to make it right for me or anything. I've never been so disappointed. I wouldn't use these people if they were the last ones on earth. read more

3rd Generation family business, Carpet Cave is fantastic. Don't let the location fool you, sure they're not in the "nice" part of town, but man o man, you're the one that will benefit when it gets down to pricing. Quality is fantastic as well, and they've got pretty much everything you can choose from. Twice we've turned a large piece of "remnant" 12' x 13" into area rugs for about $500. Super high quality material and very aesthetic as well with the design. Not that we were looking for anything, but walking around, they've really got a nice selection of hard wood and vinyl as well. I'm a repeat customer and wouldn't hesitate to go back and recommend my friends to get their flooring here. read more
