Receipt showing nondisclosed credit card surcharge.

Three stars due to credit card surcharge. We live near this Dileo's and my spouse often orders and asks me to pick up for her. I was not aware (nor are there any signs, nor was it mentioned when she phoned in the order) that this location adds a 3.65% surcharge to all credit card orders. They attempt to conceal it on the receipt by calling it "NON CASH ADJUSTMENT #001". On this day I had them reverse the surcharge and I paid cash but are they really afraid to lose customers if they are transparent about the credit card surcharge? Or maybe customers like me who discover they have been paying the surcharge for the last however many years won't return? They didn't seem to this this is a problem. They claim to be a family business yet they are never thankful when I pick up their product.

My family loves DiLeo's! We order here often. The braised chicken is the best around. Service is great. It has the family feel.

A few good things about this place are how it's affordable and fast. DiLeo's is a long time favorite around here. It's one of the fewer locally owned Italian restaurants. Has a very easy to understand menu. The basic stuff like pizza and spaghetti. Came in recently for carryout. If only getting something for a couple people, a pizza may be too much. The alternative is getting spaghetti. It's $9 for the basic. There's increasing charges for adding meats. It's a pretty decent amount in a bowl. The sauce was pretty good and thick. Noodles could have cooked more. Of course that's why it came out quick. Even so, it wasn't too bad. The sauce was the best part. For sure I could come back. If around here. This may not be special enough to make a trip for but it's good if you happen to be close though.

Loved this place immediately when I first walked in and noticed the guy behind the counter taking extra time with an older customer.....service is still the deal breaker to me. That said...ordered an Italian beef and fries and a gyro plate. Beef was immense! Not a lot a seasoning in the meat but completed my taste for one. The gyro plate was also plenty. So go with an appetite.

So I came back here and ordered the Chicken Limone again. Can you look @ the pic provided and can you tell me what that is??? Is it cream of chicken??? I don't see any lemons!!! I didn't know Chicken limone was creamy! Is it cream of chicken soup? Also, it doesn't look anything like what they gave me the first time! Well, I know not order it again since there is obviously no consistency in the preparation of it. I will come back here only to try their fried chicken and wings. But can somebody please tell me, in that picture... "What is this?" sung by Walter Hawkins (R.I.P.)

As a mailman that has visited many pizzerias during my career & have tasted just about every slice any small business pizzeria can offer....it is safe to say this one is THE BEST. Cheesiest, priced, tastiest.....oh my. I took my GF here on a Friday night with every intention in the world to do a Yelp review. We enjoy trying small pizzerias & reviewing them. This one is awesome. When we walked in we were greeted by the man behind the desk (I think his name is Anthony) who took the time to walk us through the menu. From the broasted chicken, to tacos, to hot dogs, all the way to sweets.......we ordered mozz stix, chopped salad, sausage pizza, & chocolate cake. FAIRLY PRICED MODERATELY PRICED. The mozz stix were chewy & hot. The chopped salad was blasting with flavors, the pizza oh my goshhhhh the pizza! Perfectly cooked gooey, hot, tasty, oh my gosh the pizza. And then on top of this....their chocolate cake. It was truly amazing. The restaurant was clean, the tv had a cool movie on, & as we were eating we noticed the staff knew almost everyone's first name when they walked in...talk about customer service holy cow! I asked to speak to the manager. Some lady named Terry who was nice & said she's been at this location for awhile. Highly recommended I will return

I started with the Solstice Spritz -- he mentioned it was on the sweeter side, and it honestly had the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Not overly sugary, just really well done. For an appetizer, we got the best (in my opinion), the wild mushroom toast. This location uses softer bread compared to others, and the appetizer had a slight kick to it that made it even better. Definitely a standout dish. I also tried the espresso martini, which was made with Baileys. It was strong but good -- smooth with that rich espresso flavor coming through. For my entrée, I had the butternut squash risotto. It was okay, but I felt like it could've used a bit more sauce or an extra layer of flavor. I ended up adding more parmesan, which helped elevate it a little. The inside of this location is really nice -- different from the other locations I've been to, but in a good way. The ambiance definitely added to the experience.

The restaurant itself is stylish and inviting, which makes it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal. Some dishes were flavorful and well presented, while others didn't quite live up to expectations. Service was friendly, but the pacing felt a bit uneven, especially during busier moments. Portions were reasonable, though not especially memorable for the price. Overall, GIA MIA - Elmhurst is a decent option for a casual Italian meal, but more consistency in the kitchen would make a big difference.

The space is beautiful, though the tables are... let's just say neighborly. Great if you enjoy bonding with strangers, less great if you like a little elbow room. The menu is interesting and inviting. We started with the parmesan artichokes. Crunchy and satisfying, with nice pieces throughout, but a bit shy on flavor. It felt like it almost got to the party but stopped just outside the door. For mains, everyone genuinely enjoyed their dishes. I had the gnocchi della casa with porcini ragù. The gnocchi were soft, light, and pillowy, though just a touch dense and missing that subtle potato flavor that makes you close your eyes for a second. Not quite at the level of my mom's or grandma's (but let's be honest, nothing ever is). The mushroom sauce was tasty, though it leaned slightly vinegary. The pistachio-crusted whitefish was a standout. Perfectly crisp on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside. Definitely a win. The risotto of the day was creamy and comforting, but it felt like it was missing that little spark, that "something" that takes it from good to memorable. Drinks were a highlight. The Sicilian Negroni and Fields of Tuscany were both well-crafted and delicious. No notes there. For the price, it's a solid spot and worth experiencing at least once. Come for the energy, stay for the drinks, and maybe bring your best "I don't mind sitting close" attitude.
