I came here with a couple friends to try a new Italian place and this place was fairly average. Pizza- the crust was underdone. It was still very doughy. The cheese was also a bit stale and hard. It was not soft like I would have expected. The pepperoni had a nice kick in it. Appetizer- the ham was fresh and the salad was pretty good. Good service and nice atmosphere.

Yum, yum, yummmmmm!!! What a fantastic dinner experience. Everything was fantastic- the service, the drinks, the lively atmosphere & most of all the food - it's delicious!!! Prosciutto & burrata was a wonderful app & the braciole con rigatoni was exceptional. It was the first time I had heard of it and it was spectacular! I could only eat 1/2 and it was just as good the day after. Everyone else enjoyed everything they had - including a special shout out to the salmon & skirt steak. Wonderful place and a very enjoyable Sat evening dinner for 3 couples. Bravo!

The experience I had here, I don't think, was exactly what it could have been. We went here last Saturday with some friends.. we came a bit later and rushed our dinner choices. I guess we may have been assuming that this place was going to be good because our friends picked it & also the business' yelp pictures looked pretty good so we thought we could just come in & pick anything & it'd be fine.... Our pizzas didn't seem to have much effort put into them at all.. they didn't even seem fully cooked, they were really flimsy. My husband and I ordered when we got there & within 10 mins they were bringing our pizzas out. I'm not opposed to giving this place another try.. maybe getting pasta if we ever went again. There were a lot of factors that could have contributed to our experience so I'm trying to be fair But I don't see me coming back on purpose

Food: 3.5 stars Service: 3 stars Atmosphere: 4 stars We had lunch on the hottest day of the year after strolling through the Umbrella exhibitions around Elmhurst. We order a bunch of appetizers, which were excellent and huge servings. We over ordered and left satisfied. The mushrooms were fantastic, lots of cheese, mussels well seasoned, the calamari was good, octopus a little chewy, and the Burrata Prosciutto salad was excellent. Presentation of the salad could use tweaking, making it a bit more delicate. Our server, Francesca, is young and can use coaching, more training. We are boomers and she talked to us as if we were in our 20s. My Aperol cocktail was mediocre, no garnish, and spilled over, which our server did not cleaned up. Overall was an okay experience with room for improvement

Went during lunch time. Ordered the baked clams as an appetizer, it was okay. Had the spaghetti cacio which was just too creamy. The funghi pizza was the best. Will try again.

Met my elderly aunt and friend there. I got only a caesar salad, which ended up as lettuce with parm cheese and, vinegar & oil. There caesar had soy in it. They said all of their dressings do. No croutons either. I appreciated their checking my allergies (that is why 2 stars) and for cross-contamination, but let me know so I can ask for tomatoes and onions on it or change my salad. $12 for a plate of lettuce with cheese. My aunt got eggplant parm. She asked for it not to be a sandwich, just the eggplant. It came to the table as a sandwich with fries, which she told them she did not want. She sent it back. She did NOT enjoy it at all. The friend ate her pasta and said it was okay. Oh, and parking SUCKS. Like big time! I had to circle for 15 minutes waiting for someone. My aunt (who needed handicapped and has the placard) parked a ways away as some young kids parked in the handicapped spot she needed. She saw them park, and she said they were hurrying for the door (cuz it was cold). I looked at the car. No placard and nothing on their license plates. The spot was marked for handicapped, as I saw it when it was open. I did tell our waitress. She just shrugged. It is not Pazzi's fault the kids parked there, but Pazzi did nothing about it! SHAME ON YOU, Pazzi, for not pursuing this for a handicapped person! I won't return.

Seafood pasta is always a must. Their bread is also so delicious. Service is always great and it's the perfect spot for a special occasion or date night.

Sophia is the kind of manager you rarely come across -- young, approachable, and genuinely passionate about what she does, yet carrying herself with the quiet confidence of someone who's been doing this for decades. We grabbed seats at the bar and were lucky enough to try her newest cocktail creation, the Greek Dirty Martini, and wow -- it is a showstopper. A brilliant, creative twist on a classic that somehow feels both bold and perfectly balanced. It's already my new go-to, and honestly reason enough to come back. But what really sets Sophia apart is how she makes every guest feel seen. She came over to us at the bar, asked about our experience, and actually listened. No script, no rush -- just genuine care. You can feel her energy ripple through the entire staff too; the team is warm, attentive, and clearly inspired by her example. Sophia is the real deal. Remember her name -- because she's going places. This spot is lucky to have her, and we'll absolutely be back.

Portions were satisfying, and the presentation made the dishes look as good as they tasted. Overall, Modern Plate is a solid choice for a flavorful and well-made meal. A bit more menu variety would make it even better, but I'd gladly return.

For appetizers, we tried the lemon artichoke and white bean dip with naan--everything tasted really fresh, and the naan was especially good. We also got the meatballs, which were delicious with just a hint of pomegranate glaze. For my entrée, I had the bao buns--crispy chicken, great sauce, fresh ingredients, and a little kick to it. I got the honey roasted carrots on the side, which were nicely seasoned without being overpowering... but $9 for carrots felt a bit much. We also tried the sea bass, which was really good. The couscous was well made, and the fish wasn't overly "fishy," which I liked. For drinks, I had the North York Fizz--it was basically a fizzy strawberry lemonade, super refreshing. We ordered the grilled chicken spread to take home, and that was also fresh and delicious. The focaccia bread was a standout. Only downside--we never got one of our sides and didn't realize until we got home, which was disappointing. Service was good, but once we got our food, it took a while to see our server again--about a 10-minute wait, even though there were only a few other tables. Overall, I'd definitely come back and would recommend it. Really good food with just a few small hiccups.

More importantly, does it offer the kind of service, ambience, and experience that would make you want more? I would say 151 kitchen and bar in Elmhurst does meet those expectations. On a recent work night celebration with colleagues, we ended up here for a nice dinner. Beautifully outfitted, the service was spot on, and the food was for the most part really good. Key points for me for the honey and ricotta with bread - absolutely excellent! I ordered the Atlantic salmon, which came on a bed of tiny potatoes and broccolini absolutely what was expected, the flavors were indicative of light seasoning, and I can truly say I loved it. Needless to say, the food was fantastic. You can see the photo of my entrée below? It looks very inviting right? And indeed it was. One of my colleagues was kind enough to let me take a picture of his chicken bowl - which is below as well - and he pronounced it as pretty good. Coming from him that is high praise, indeed! The tomato bisque soup I had as an app? Pretty delicious - the only concern I would indicate was that it was just a tad too sweet, but otherwise it was served at the perfect temperature, and really hit the spot. Nicely done! So - will I bring hubby here? Yes, I think so. Definitely a worthwhile place for him to try for sure - and I will make plans to bring him here soon.

The selections were tasty, and I felt like it was a good value. I forgot to take pictures, but they do a nice looking spread! Every time I've gone, the folks working there have been really friendly and helpful if I have questions about anything on the menu. I've gone during work hours and after hours, it can get a bit busy during the day with people working there but they have a great large back area with plenty of seating - I have never gone and not been able to find a spot to sit. I do wish they had some more comfy seating. The chairs at the tables are all metal, no cushion, so they aren't great to sit on for that long. In the front area there are wooden benches along the walls to sit on, and they do have some pillows you can use, but when you're there with someone and want to sit across from each other, one of you has to take the metal seat. Despite the seating, I still enjoy going - I've gone there to work, to sit and read, and it would be a chill place to setup a small tabletop game and enjoy a couple of hours with some good drinks, snacks, and friends.

You can also try his cocktail bar in Itasca called No School Tomorrow which is similarly different, delicious, and unquestionably a great time especially if you lived life in the 90's. How freakin lucky are we to have a gem like this in Villa Park! My only hope is that we don't blow it. Like any new restaurant they are refining menu items and working out kinks. Food and drinks are on the pricier side (they have a solid kids hot dog and fries option for $5 for kids though) but what is the going rate for Squid Ink?! It is also unlike anything else you will find in Villa Park or Western Suburbs, or really anywhere so I would say absolutely worth it. Staff is also ridiculously friendly and excited about their product. While they have awesome specialty cocktails that you will not find anywhere else (pozole spices in a cocktail?!) they are also great making any classic cocktail you can come up with. My one feedback for now would be to up the dish-ware if going with higher price items vs going with paper products. This might just be they are testing things out. I'm also excited to see some brunch options or perhaps coffee and pastries in the future to get the biker/ boozy brunchy weekenders with kids crowd.
