The stuffed hash browns are amazing. My friends and I make a yearly trip to Interlochen just to go to Dilbert's because it's so good

We tried Dilbert's for breakfast for the first time this morning. We have to say forget all the other breakfast places: Bob Evans, Flap Jack Shack, Omelette Shoppe, etc.! My husband and I ordered our usual breakfast of an omelette & toast and corn beef hash, eggs and toast. Both were the best, large portions and was sooooo good! They have the best waitstaff and the prices were very reasonable. And we never ran out of coffee we actually had to say no to coffee before we were almost done. This is our new breakfast place! read more

Great breakfast spot. Small diner, but good diner style good. Pancakes were the heavy fluffy type and the hash browns were good and crunchy. Our waitress did great with my kids orders and she was very patient with my 4 year old making his own order. Busy on Sundays!! read more

I always love this no frills locally owned establishment in Interlochen. The service is fast and friendly. The place is very small and simple, cheap, and not touristy at all. Breakfast is great here -- you'll love the hashbrowns. read more

Great food and wait staff. An excellent "down home" breakfast. Our waitress snuck us ahead of a large group that were seated before us so we wouldn't have to wait a long time for our food....love her! My wife had the Jim's Hobo breakfast sandwich which she said was the best she has ever tried. read more

Absolutely my favorite breakfast place. Wonderful service, big portion sizes, and they know how to poach a perfect soft egg! Their hot turkey sandwich is also addictive. My husband loves their fried chicken, and they also make a really decent pizza! So rare to find a diner that does all these things right. We're lucky to have this gem in Interlochen. read more

Need to update hours on the internet. I drove 45 minutes to get there this morning. The website said they open at 7am. Got there at 7:30am not a light on in the place. Very disappointed. read more

Love this place. Cute, fast service, food was out quick and tastes good. Just ate breakfast. If your staying at Interlocken, skip Buds and come here. Prices are way better, food size is good and the service is faster. They don't have a kids breakfast menus and no GF breads, only down side for me. That is why I have 4 stars. read more

NIce people and great food. Service is quick and friendly. The corned beef hash is the real deal, and the omelets are big enough for two. Prices are very reasonable. It's just a short hop from Interlochen; go up to 31 on 337 and drive about 2 miles west. We will return tomorrow for breakfast. read more

We used to love this place. Used to. During this pandemic, we are being careful and we are seniors with some health concerns. So it was a "big deal" to go out to lunch and we wanted to support local. I had called ahead to ask if the servers would be wearing masks. (Because we had been some place else where they were not). I was told "of course, it's the law!" When we got there, both girls had their masks on - UNDER THEIR CHINS. Our server put the silver, menus on the table. I asked her to put her mask on (as in covering your nose and mouth) and she said (as she backed up) "I HAVE my mask on!" And then she coughed. And it was a cough that you could hear in her chest. So - we left. On our way out the other girl Kelly, whom I've come to know over the years, came up to me and asked why we were leaving as "we HAVE our masks on!" Hers was under her chin as well. So - wow. Whether you believe in the COVID virus - or not - why can't you be considerate and KIND and not make fun of us? It felt really bad and disrespectful. The little gem was recommended by the motel we stayed at as THE place to get breakfast in the area. What a find! Perfect Mom and Pop place with locals at every table. I ordered the eggs and corned beef... WOW. It's amazing and homemade. Husband ordered a eggs and sausage and said it was very good. Good eats. We enjoyed the meat skillet, fried egg sandwich (moi), and eggs/toast/taters/ham. Hrm. Busy place. Pretty decent value, 2 of us had water, 1 coffee, and the aforementioned meals, 20$ for three people. Not too shabby. Brunch was slammin!!! The signature stuffed hashbrowns and the skillets are DELISH! Great portion for the price. Beyond that whoever created the recipe for the peanut butter pie is a genius OMG YUM YUM AND YUM! This is definitely a restaurant we will be returning to. read more

The service is sub par at best. They were very busy, only 2 servers & ours in particular wasn't overly friendly or attentive. But the food is on point. We had a great breakfast there & will be back again. But likely will only get carry out next time. read more

Oh I shouldn't tell you of our gem here in Interlohcen. We go for breakfast each time we are here. Fast, friendly service. Small place. May have to wait for a seat, especially parties larger than 4. No room for a hostess. Honor system waiting outside. Food is good. Nothing fancy. Bread is good. Ham, bacon and sausage wonderful. read more

Thankfully it was nice out and we enjoyed the outdoor seating for our breakfast. Pancakes were huge and tasted great. Also had the meat lovers skillet which was quite hearty. Our waitress was Amy, she was very nice and helpful with the menu. Family friendly, good food and good value. We'll definitely be back and I recommend trying it out. read more

I tried the hash brown casserole and found it to be very good. I got eggs over medium and put them on top of the casserole. The yolks added an even better dimension to the dish. I'll be back again to try some of their other great looking dishes. read more

They have good food and there is usually room to sit. When it gets busy there is almost no room to park and nowhere to sit. I went when it was busy and stood at the door for about ten minutes and the only people to talk to me were other customers that said the door needed to be shut or else the staff would get mad. There is no waiting area and when a table opened up I just sat down in it since there was no staff directing anyone on what to do. The table was dirty even after the server cleaned it. The food came out fast but it took forever waiting for the check when we said we were ready for it. read more

I came here for dinner before a concert at Interlochen. After reading all the great reviews I expected something out of the ordinary, which it wasn't really. The family of four that arrived about 10 minutes after I did were served about 10 minutes before I was (I was dining alone).
