However the following day everyone is waiting outside the locked doors 15 minutes after class was supposed to start because no one's there! No lights, doors locked, no one was answering our calls, no emails or a heads up, nothing! Our class of 25 dropped to 8 that following week because the lack of unprofessionalism and communication was absurd. The one saving grace out of this school was our instructor Miss Terri. She went above and beyond making sure we weren't behind on our course due to the inconveniences that occurred that disrupted our learning days. She was patient, understanding, and lit up the classroom with her lively energy. If it wasn't for her I think the course would've been postponed again for god knows how long until they found another teacher on short notice, she saved my time and made sticking through the struggles worth it. I couldn't be more grateful but besides that I would not recommend. The lack of communication was terrible from the people in charge and even though Google reviews has a high rating (god knows how) I recommend going somewhere else for these kind of certifications. Yes it might cost a bit more but trust no low price is worth the headache and uncertainty.

The first workshop I attended was an intro to Adobe Illustrator. We had people of many different professional backgrounds in attendance. Although the class was beginner, they also answered the questions of those with a little more experience. When the presenter did not know the answer, the group may have chimed in to help. (Did I ever mention I love Atlanta) The most recent workshop I attended was the Transferable Skills workshop led by Nita Penn. This session was amazing! It was interactive, relevant, high energy, and applicable to our everyday lives. Nita was well prepared, fun, energetic, and inspiring. A lot of times we take workshops that work on our hard skills and it was nice that General Assembly scheduled something to help us learn about soft skills and how they can be transferable and applicable in various situations. I hope to see Nita continue to lead workshops at this location. I can guarantee that as she starts doing more workshops on various topics I will for sure be there with my friends! I am looking forward to building my personal and professional portfolio and am thankful for the opportunities that General Assembly is providing at such a reasonable cost.

As far as the staff, some there are better suited as McDonald's cashiers than admin/staff at a technical school. It's not 100% terrible, however. There are also a few administrators there who are actually pretty cool. There are 3 professors there whom I'll never forget and to whom I'll always be grateful. It is because of those 3 people this school earned the extra star. Overall, if it is quality which you seek, then there are other schools in the metro that will give you more for your money. I wish I'd have done more research... but hopefully others will be able to learn from my unfortunate mistake.

Their testing site had NO parking, and neither did any other building nearby. I had to park opposite side of the school and that alone almost made me miss the exam. Then, for some reason, they wouldn't accept my drivers license as an ID...? Despite all other Pearson testing locations I've been to using my DL. Also wouldn't take my student ID from my college I attend. But they had no problem telling me that my credit/debit card counts as a valid ID. Which is all very suspicious to me. The computer they assigned to me didn't work; the PC cut off multiple inches off the right side of my test so that I couldn't answer some questions, so I had to be moved to another computer. Very frustrating experience and now the only place I will do Pearson testing is at Georgia Northwestern in Rome; their testing site has never gave me any issues and the instructor is always kind to me there.

Couldn't tell jokes until... :)…read more One day I saw my friend at his graduation (of Jeff Justice Comedy Classes). I couldn't believe how great was his comedy routine! He is not really a comedy guy at all, but he nailed it. So I signed for the class next day. I wasn't sure.. someone can teach me to write a joke, but as time pass by in Jeff's class, exactly 6 weeks later, I had my 5 minutes comedy routine to perform on stage. It was kind of magical. I didn't just learn how to write jokes but also worked on delivery, study different techniques, practice, had enormous help from Jeff's team, his feedback and support. I met new friends.. who were on the same page with me and created amazing memories on working with them on stage and off stage. Taking Jeff Justice workshop is an amazing experience and can be helpful to anyone with sense of humor or not. You don't believe, try it yourself! :)
