As a teacher I understand the importance of educating yourself before trying something new. This is why I decided to take a basic rider safety course. I chose Two Wheel Adventures because I heard Chris Carr was the best in the business. As a 45 year-old newbie to riding, I signed up not knowing how to turn on a bike, much less how to ride one! Arriving to the first class on Saturday morning, I was a bit anxious and intimidated. Immediately Chris put me at ease! There were a total of six in the class and one was another female (which was awesome!) There was a real sense of community among the students from the very beginning. I truly believe this is because of the atmosphere Chris creates in his class. Chris and David are phenomenal; I can't say it enough! I was very relieved to find out that they were patient, direct, informative, and friendly instructors, who have numerous years of experience to share with you. They offered constructive advice and made sure you knew the realities of riding and how to be as safe as possible while riding. I am a type of person who learns through hands-on experiences, and having an instructor that can work with you individually helped me tremendously as a student. They work hard to boost your confidence before you get on the course. I made my share of mistakes yet Chris and David was very understanding and gave me pointers on how to correct them. They continuously encouraged me with great feedback. The class had a perfect balance of discussion, bookwork, and riding. They walked you through everything, including all the bike controls and I was really glad because I knew NOTHING! Each exercise was practical and built on the one before. Either Chris or David would stop and talk to each one of us individually and tell us what we were doing wrong, how we could improve, or asked if we had any questions. They routinely did this after every exercise or mid-way through. I felt like we got plenty of one-on-one instruction from them. If someone needed a little extra help, they would pull that person aside (me being one of them), and go over things a little more slowly. They were spot on with identifying what we weren't doing right, and then we'd go out and try it again. With this attention and guidance I became more and more confident. Not only do they want you to learn to ride safely, they want you to enjoy the experience. I realize how difficult it is to teach and was very impressed with Chris's ability to reach all levels and learning styles! I am convinced that I left the class with practical knowledge of how to operate and ride a motorcycle in a safe manner. I highly recommend this course to everyone, whether you are new to riding or you have been doing it for a while. If you're looking to obtain your motorcycle endorsement then do not look elsewhere or peruse the web any further than Two Wheel Adventures. There was a person in our class that had no motorcycle experience, "very little car experience" and he now has his motorcycle endorsement. It's not that the endorsement is guaranteed, but rather that the quality of the training and the attention to detail, by Chris Carr, is guaranteed. Thus, one has no reason to fail. When you complete this Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course you will be a SAFE motorcyclist as oppose to a cool person on a bike; which opting for "cool" could lead you to being permanently cooled by being placed in a coroner's refrigerator box. With Two Wheel Adventures, you will learn the nomenclature of the motorcycle, proper self-care (eg. riding equipment, mental state, etc.), riding techniques as well as emergency maneuvers. I took this course about 3 weeks ago. The course met and exceeded my expectations. Both Chris and David were amazing coaches and were very knowledgable and patient. All my classmates were very friendly and supportive. One thing I loved about the class was the amount of diversity it had. Two of my male classmates were from the Netherlands, one of the female classmates was a UPS driver, one other female classmate was a school teacher. In addition we were able to practice on two very different types of bikes, which I believe gave us a more holistic feel and understanding that no two bikes are alike. Above all, I was very excited about the fact that chris was a humble person and remained in touch after the class. Chris was answering all my questions to a point that I felt as if he was my personal/private coach. Believe me, not many people out there will help you out for free. Some of the questions I had for Chris were regarding insurance, prices, equipment/gear, laws, and he answered them all. make sure you take advantage of the booklets he distributes to his students and all his online resources. Chris Carr is no wonder a great teacher because he has a great passion for motorcycles. I took the MSF basic rider course during his recent 2015 Christmas Special Batch which he conducted in Atlanta, GA. He motivated all his students equally irrespective of their first driving syndrome and encouraged learning from the beginning of the course without wasting anytime. Throughout the course he taught Safety, Safety and kept skills as last thing. He made me realize that as M-Cycle rider you are in the safe hands of yourself and how the helmet and body gears are very important before you take off. Also he was very patient to answer any questions (some of mine were trivial or could have been silly too) that may come to you during the course time to time and conducted his class with utmost perfection where you can see diligence, honesty and perseverance as your goals. Some people teach but some others teach as well as inspire you at the same time. Chris inspired my learning and I call him as GURU. I am really proud that I got my M class license from him. the course in the back parking lot of tannery row was well-organized and deserves 5 stars! Phillip Nolan, the instructor Coach, reached out to the students before the class via email and provided a guide and questions for study before the course. the class had six students and was completely outside. the first day started with review and discussion of the Basic RiderCourse booklet. then, each student rode a motorcycle provided by TWA through various situations that were marked on the course. Phillip would describe the situation, then he would ride the situation so the students could see the maneuver, then the students would ride the maneuver. we practiced curves, acceleration, sudden stopping, shifting, swerving, merging, etc. Then the students' driving skills were tested at the end of the class. Phillip entered the test passing score into the GA DDS system and a 90- Day Motorcycle License Test Waiver was received from DDS email on the same day. Because stormy weather was predicted on Day 2, Phillip agreed to hold a longer class time on Day 1 so Day 2 could end before the stormy weather. Part of Day 2 riding was held in light rain. Greetings, If you're here because you want to learn how to ride a motorcycle, then look no further; you have found the best of the best! Chris Carr and (Super) Dave are friendly, informative, and very passionate about what they do. The 'Two Wheel Adventure' felt nothing like being stuck in a boring classroom. Although it contained some "classroom like" parts, Chris and Dave made it feel like it were old friends hanging out. We took short breaks and shared stories, but when the class started up again, it was back to business. The instructions given were always firm and clear; and questions always felt welcome. If you're unsure about something, don't hesitate to ask. They will make sure you understand by either explanation or demonstration. Going into the class, I had never driven a manual car or rode a motorcycle (other than a scooter -- which is an automatic). However, after completing the class, I felt very confident in my newly acquired, basic motorcycle skills. What can I say, except patient, patient, patient. I bought a Groupon for the Introduction class and finally used it in November 2012. This class will teach you about the basics of the motorcycle and for someone like me who had only ridden as a passenger, this was perfect. Chris Carr (the instructor) was extremely patient with me. He is also open to questions, so don't think you need to be an expert after he explains. Safety is also number 1 with him. In this intro class, you will not only learn the basic functions, but you will also get to ride the motorcycle to get the feel and handle. The only minor issue I had was with scheduling, but I think that was because it was close to the expiration of the Groupon and everybody was trying to use theirs by the end of November. So besides that I gave them 5 stars because everything else overshadowed that minor detail. I would highly recommend their establishment to anyone. read more

I have been holding this review for half a month now because I wanted to test Chris Carr's (The instructor) instructions of properly handling a motorcycle into the real world, not just in a closed parking lot. As of last Friday, I am the proud of owner of a new motorcycle and I currently ride it whenever the opportunity exists. My ability to handle a motorcycle is all thanks to Chris' amazing ability to teach anyone how to operate a bike. Had the pleasure of taking the 3-Wheel Course on March 7-8, 2020; and learned a significant amount of information that I initially didn't know. Chris D. was super nice and made the training that much better. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed, and we were able to learn an incredible amount of information in a two day course. Chris D. was definitely hands on and made sure everyone was 100% sure of what they were doing before moving on to the next exercise. I look forward to learning more about my Can Am Spyder as I progress into a more seasoned rider. I owe Chris D. alot of credit for easing my stress level and making me feel safe on the streets. My comfort left is definitely increased since I took the course, and Chris D. was the instructor. Definitely made you think "Safety" first. My wife originally purchased a Groupon for the Intro class (1 hour class and 1 hour on the bike). Due to my limited schedule, our instructor, Chris Carr, was kind enough to squeeze me into and alongside a full Basic Rider Course. It was an easy decision for me to cover the remaining cost and simply complete the BRC class over the next two days. After successfully completing the class - and within a month - I've already purchased my first motorcycle. Chris was a thorough and knowledgeable instructor who made everyone feel at ease while handling the motorcycles. He shared a lot of personal insight that went beyond the included MSF course manual so I left class with greater confidence in owning a bike than I ever expected. After being put out of Harley Harley-Davidson's Falcon Fury for what I don't know I was very skeptical about going back to another establishment to learn how to ride. I took the class on October 16th and 17th with Christopher Carr and this was the most wonderful experience I have ever had in my entire life. He is the best and most patient teacher. He explains and gets down with you he doesn't just throw you to the wolves and say you'll learn it and if you don't just take your money. The classes are relatively small but that's a good thing because if one doesn't understand or if more don't understand he will walk literally walk you through it. It is worth the time and the money. I would recommend anybody who wants to learn how to ride a two-wheel or three wheel to this class. read more

Chris Carr runs an impressively professional operation, 100% aimed toward preparing riders for safe, informed riding. I just finished the course this week and cannot say enough good things about it. The philosophy is geared toward self-responsibility and making the right decisions to keep riding safe and enjoyable. The other students in my class ranged in size, age, height, experience, and ability, yet all of us greatly benefited from the course, and left giddy and enthusiastic. I entered the course knowing nothing about motorcycles, and left on the second day well-informed and confident. Great experience. I came away with a tremendous increase in comfort around a motorcycle. The student-instructor ratio of 6:1 really sets this company apart from others offering 12:1 classes. This gives you more time on the bike and more personal interaction with the coach (Chris Carr). I was able to log 20 miles on the bike, which is apparently double what you might get elsewhere. The pace takes you gradually through various exercises that build up solid fundamentals. Before you know it your riding around the spacious parking lot with confidence and having a blast. Took the BRC and couldn't be more pleased. I'm 54 and haven't ridden a Motorcycle in over 30 years, so I was looking for a class to help me get back on the horse so to speak. I wanted to re-learn basic skills and safety and feel confident that I could handle a motorcycle again. This course was perfect. Wow! Wow! Wow! After registering for the Can-Am Rider Education Program. I am elated to say this is the BEST absolute Program Ever!! My son and I just finished the class in Conyers, GA. Janet is the best, well rounded, knowledgeable instructor and educator I've ever seen. She did not let, what I thought would be barriers, effect her outstanding ability to teach. I am short, I am 64 and I am a female. I learned so many safety rules about motorcycles, got the Can-Am riding instructions and driving field practice with her. Chris really did an awesome job with this class. I went in not really knowing what to expect and came out ready to ride a motorcycle in just two days. He answered the seemingly infinite questions that I asked him without hesitation and his knowledge of motorcycles and motorcycle riding techniques is both broad and deep. Chris Carr did a great job taking us from step one to confidence on the motorcycle. In between lessons, he would share real-life anecdotes about his experiences on a motorcycle. I don't want to give away surprises here, but rest assured that you'll be wowed at Chris's accomplishments and experiences over the past few decades. I would highly recommend this course to anyone in the Atlanta area who's considering getting a moto license. Great location, good price, solid instruction. We had a 6:1 student to teacher ratio, and the class was completely guided by the learning pace of the students.
