My one and only experience with Digital Solutions will be my last. Their first attempt at repairing my laptop was a failure. Afterward, they promised to "make it right." They tried, but they failed again. My 64GB RAM laptop now has only 32GB of working RAM and years' worth of emails were overwritten. My bill: $810.49. I took a laptop to Digital Solutions on May 21, 2025, stating there was a hardware problem causing a "blue screen," and I needed them to repair the machine and to save my emails and files, if possible. I let them know the emails were very, very important to me, that I had backed up most of my files, but not my emails. The intake person (correctly) suggested it was likely a disc drive failure. It took Digital Solutions 15 days to return the laptop. The technician (who was NOT the intake person) had replaced a defective battery and saved my files and told me there were no other hardware issues. However, he failed to save my emails before he reinstalled the O/S, overwriting them. To make matters worse, he installed Windows 10 instead of Windows 11. I let him know how disappointed I was, and I left. It got worse. After three days the laptop failed because the bad hard drive crashed again. It turns out the technician hadn't realized the hard drive had gone bad. I returned with the laptop and was told they would "make it right." I already knew that could no longer happen, because the technician had overwritten my emails. However, I didn't think they would create additional problems the second time around. I was wrong. On July 3, 2025, they called to say my laptop was available, but they were unable to figure out how to get it working with 64GB of RAM, so it was returned to me with only 32GB of working RAM. When I objected, I was told by the manager, Nicole, that they had spent a lot of time and resources on my computer and "my boss would kill me" if they spent any more time working on my laptop. She's right about the time. They spent a lot of time because the technician didn't detect and replace the bad drive. All the extra hours they spent "making it right" resulted from their mistakes. Yet, Nicole acted as if she was doing me a huge favor by eating the costs that accrued from their mistakes. The bottom line: My emails are gone forever, the laptop is working with only half its RAM, yet it cost me about the same as what I just paid for a brand-new identical laptop. Lesson learned: keep your data backed up and when your computer needs repair, take it someplace other than Digital Solutions. read more

I had been wanting to get my home videos transferred to CD for years. A friend suggested Digital Solutions. She said she had dealt with this company a few times and always had great service. I spoke to the owner who was very friendly and helpful to me. I dropped off all of my movies and he had them all done quickly. I have a seven year old computer that had two "anti-virus" programs installed on me while I was online. These two "security" programs were actually malware. I could'nt remove them myself so I took my computer to Digital Solutions and explained the problem I was having. After two days a tech called and said the motherboard was bad and needed to be replaced ($250 with installation NOT including removing the malware). I asked him if my motherboard was bad why could my computer still boot-up and open programs? He would go on to say the motherboard was not actually bad but it was...going bad. He said about four of the capacitors on the board were physically swollen and this would make the computer run slow. I had to call the owner (which already knew of the problem) and explain that all I wanted was the malware/virus to be removed and nothing else. He kept insisting that it was the board and I did'nt have a virus problem. I had to explain to him about three times that I DID have a virus on my computer. After almost TWO WEEKS I got my computer back. I paid $135 to have them use Malwarebytes (a free malware program) to scan my computer twice (9/25 and 9/28/09) to remove the malware. To make a long story short (too late), I felt that I was being taken for a ride. They wanted me to pour money into an old computer or buy a new one from them. And I also feel that since I did'nt follow their advice and get a new board, they dragged their feet removing the virus. Because I had to call them a week later to find out what was going on with my computer. I will never do business with this company again. My advice is to always back-up and keep the virus software up to date. If you have to take your computer in for service, find out if there is any flat fees for diagnoses of the problem. These guys charged me $70 for basically telling me that my computer is old. It has been TWO YEARS later and my computer is still working fine with the original motherboard. read more

My computer is about 4 years old and was having major speed problems. I took my computer in to Digital solutions to have it looked at. I am pretty tech savy and thought it may be spyware or a virus. I tried a few things my self and got rid of something, but the computer was still slow. After a day a tech called me and said i had blown capacitors on my mother board. and let me know that the speed issues that i was having was more or less related to these problems. They recommended that i get a new motherboard to correct these problems, but they also explained that i did not have to do this and my computer would still run but it would remain slow. i went in to take a look at the motherboard and the gentlemen was very knowledgeable and nice. I decided not to replace the motherboard and just continue as i was, after a month the computer completely died and i knew then that i should have taken the advice and fixed it then. The guys at digital solutions fixed me right up now my computer works like a brand new one. The other comment on here does not do this place justice. They may be a small place but they are smart and get the job done. This place DOES NOT rip you off, they are out to help you!! I will return in the future with all of my computer needs. read more

They are really unprofessional, and do not explain in detail what you are being charged for. We had to constantly call them to know the status of the part (fan) that was coming, and, was quoted a really cheap price, and was called back with an apology and was quoted a higher price of $101.00 we were getting the fan replaced in our computer. It wouldn't be so bad if the customer service was better, and we were given details about what we were being charged for, and a friendly call to say the part isn't in we are still waiting. If we would have done more research and read this prior review we probably would have went somewhere else. Well, it's been two weeks and we are finally getting our computer back. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here to have work done because the customer service is poor, and you will feel like you are getting ripped off from not being explained in details what you are being charged for, and not receiving calls on the status. I did ask for a break down of the charges, and I was told we were getting charged 70 dollars for labor, 10 dollars for the fan and whatever shipping charges there were she didn't know at the time. Today we got our computer back, and when my husband made it home we noticed there are cracks on the side, and look like maybe it was dropped. The salesperson said the computer had wear yes it does have wear meaning it was used, and old but never dropped or had any cracks in it. I am so disappointed and upset that that man would be dishonest, and bring up the fact that it had wear just because the computer is old that doesn't give anyone the right to mishandle or put cracks in the screen. I would never go back there and recommend no one going there to have computer work done. read more
