Previously had 1 sprinkler head replaced and they charged $20 (or maybe $30, an almost insignificant amount) Well this year this guy Luis (? or Louis) came, charged me $200 for 1 sprinkler head (before labor), he did not tell us how much it was BEFORE he took the old one out. I know I should have asked how much but with previous years of dealing with this company we thought we knew the price level. After a couple of phone calls with "management" they offer to charge extra labor cost to take the $200 sprinkler head out (so we dont have to buy it) and extra labor cost to put the old broken one back. It turned out that they charged and extra $75 labor for this sprinkler head. Please DO NOT consider this company at all. Honesty is the way to run a business. And this is not.

My one and only experience with Digital Solutions will be my last. Their first attempt at repairing…read moremy laptop was a failure. Afterward, they promised to "make it right." They tried, but they failed again. My 64GB RAM laptop now has only 32GB of working RAM and years' worth of emails were overwritten. My bill: $810.49. I took a laptop to Digital Solutions on May 21, 2025, stating there was a hardware problem causing a "blue screen," and I needed them to repair the machine and to save my emails and files, if possible. I let them know the emails were very, very important to me, that I had backed up most of my files, but not my emails. The intake person (correctly) suggested it was likely a disc drive failure. It took Digital Solutions 15 days to return the laptop. The technician (who was NOT the intake person) had replaced a defective battery and saved my files and told me there were no other hardware issues. However, he failed to save my emails before he reinstalled the O/S, overwriting them. To make matters worse, he installed Windows 10 instead of Windows 11. I let him know how disappointed I was, and I left. It got worse. After three days the laptop failed because the bad hard drive crashed again. It turns out the technician hadn't realized the hard drive had gone bad. I returned with the laptop and was told they would "make it right." I already knew that could no longer happen, because the technician had overwritten my emails. However, I didn't think they would create additional problems the second time around. I was wrong. On July 3, 2025, they called to say my laptop was available, but they were unable to figure out how to get it working with 64GB of RAM, so it was returned to me with only 32GB of working RAM. When I objected, I was told by the manager, Nicole, that they had spent a lot of time and resources on my computer and "my boss would kill me" if they spent any more time working on my laptop. She's right about the time. They spent a lot of time because the technician didn't detect and replace the bad drive. All the extra hours they spent "making it right" resulted from their mistakes. Yet, Nicole acted as if she was doing me a huge favor by eating the costs that accrued from their mistakes. The bottom line: My emails are gone forever, the laptop is working with only half its RAM, yet it cost me about the same as what I just paid for a brand-new identical laptop. Lesson learned: keep your data backed up and when your computer needs repair, take it someplace other than Digital Solutions.

As soon as they saw there was a trust and that my husband's family would be paying for everything, they excluded me from all arrangements. I had to force myself into the process to have any say at all. My husband wanted to be cremated. I agreed to release him into the hands of Howe-Peterson because his family all reside in MI and there was a family plot where he could rest next to his grandmother. Once I agreed to release him, within a matter of hours there was an online obituary (my husband was adamant about not having an obit and I have that in writing), the services were scheduled...a religious service and my husband was not religious and resented every aspect of his Lutheran upbringing. I had to ask for the obit to be changed to include the other important members of his life - not just his cats who passed, but his 2 furbabies (dogs) that he loved and cared for, because they weren't even mentioned. After I contacted the funeral director to let him know I was being excluded, I was able to provide my husband's suit, pictures of our life on a thumb drive for a slide show (they had only previously made arrangements for his family to provide framed photos), his jewelry, the ashes of his cherished cat who passed, and I asked for a lock of his hair. I was assured that these items would be returned directly to me or a member of my family as there were now some issues between myself and his family that were coming to light. It was later discovered, at the cemetery, where the funeral director was nowhere to be found, that the funeral home had in fact given all my items directly to his family. They put me and my family in a position to have to fight to get back things that his family had absolutely no right to and no interest in, during an already highly emotional time. I received a call indicating that they have sent the items through overnight mail after they received the items back from the family, so they followed through in ensuring I receive the items back in my possession, however this never should have happened. In addition, my place of employment (people that knew my husband) sent a flower arrangement to be displayed at the service and they rejected it on behalf of my husband's family! Who does that?? Absolutely disgusting. It seems that with Howe-Peterson, they only care about who has the money and that is who they answer to and take direction from. If you're the surviving spouse who only wants to honor the wishes of your loved one, forget it. You don't matter.
