Worst dentist ever!! If I could give them a negative rating I would! First, they have TERRIBLE, and I mean TERRIBLE customer service. If you have an appointment be prepared to wait at LEAST 30 minutes for them to call you in even if there's no one there. They literally don't care about you and they are so rude. They seem to overbook or something because they're always running late. The main dentist is so rough and does a poor job with everything. If Grace is working on you, run. She is probably the WORST person EVER. I've never hated someone these much. She actually is so bad at her job. I remember when she was new and doing X-rays on me took forever because she was just terrible. She blamed me for having a small mouth like I could control that. Other people who have done it on me did it with no problem so it's just her. She makes so many snarky remarks in Cantonese and her and the dentist sometimes LAUGH at me thinking I don't understand?? If I hear her voice I actually get really triggered. I'm not sure what's wrong with these people but this place is the worst!! They always seem to not know what they're doing and I'm always waiting for them even when they call me in! The best place to go if your pocket is rich enough. I called them to schedule the appointment about the impacted teeth concerning, they said they have to take a test first for me and let me ready $100 cash when visit them. After I went to there and finished the test, they told me there is an extra money because this is checking for the impacted teeth. And finally they charged me almost 200$ for the checking fee and do nothing. This is the first dentist I went to that allowed me to watch a movie while having my teeth worked on. A flat screen sits at every dental chair that can be moved around and positioned to where you are lying. The first time I came he had a video camera that showed me everything that was going on in my mouth on that TV, which was, kind of scary/interesting. Kind of reminds me of that sex ed video I saw back in HS, where they showed everything that was going on inside the body. yuck. Dr. Wally Hui does a pretty good job at explaining what's going on in my mouth, and makes pretty good recommendations. The reception lady was very nice, she took care of all of my insurance items, even though it wasn't one of bigger insurance carrier. Luckily I have insurance, because this place isn't cheap. All that technology sure does make going to the dentist more fun, and I wish I had this luxury when I was a kid. read more

The comments about this place being money hungry are true. You are better off asking your family members for dental care than this place. They don't care about the quality at all. They are really trying to make money off of your teeth and making you do unnecessary surgeries. They are also very rude in general -- this goes for most of the staff, not all. Thanks to their shitty crown placement, it made my tooth decay over time because of the gap. I went here as a child so I had no choice, but thanks for making me lose a tooth at the ripe age of 24. Everyone here is a salesperson. Deep clean will keep your teeth clean and healthy, which is true. But u need to make sure what u get is real professional work. I came in for a regular cleaning with my boyfriend, and then after 15 minutes wait, the doctor poked my gingivitis, and talk to his front desk person "convince her to do deep cleaning" in Cantonese. They thought I can't understand. "It's $300. Only 20 minutes. Not painful, and we use high tech equipment, so it is fast" That's what the front desk told me. I am not sure about current technology, because in my understanding, deep clean takes hours, so I asked. And then they said it is a high tech Italy machine, that makes the process fast and not painful. Ok, I give it a try. They first let you sign a thing without any terms and agreements, just a digital signature pad. And then the painful process begin. The doctor treat me even worth than an animal. Those metal tools are sharp. He performs the process ruthlessly, and few seconds on a tooth. I grabbed my pants tight in my hand, because it hurts like hell. In the meanwhile, the doctor and the assistant are trying to convince my boyfriend for a deep clean. The doctor paused to show a dental health video to him, and then get back to clean my teeth without looking. Image you are lying on a medical bed, all you see are a bright light, two face not looking at you, but the sharp tool in their hand is waving right above your eye. What do you think? The whole process is less than 20 minute, no high technology involved. Exact process as a regular tech cleaning. And then more creepy part, the doctor asks many personal and political questions. ?!?! And overall, there is no customer service, everyone is careless and rude. They run into you without looking and no apology. Let me put it simply, just do not come here, and spread the word. Been coming here for years and have numerous things done. Just to name a few- braces, root canals, wisdom teeth extraction, deep cleaning. What keeps me from switching to another place is the convenience. Place is clean. Equipment are new. People are friendly. Nothing is below standard except for the long wait time! The wait can be ridiculously long sometimes (especially if you are no longer a new patient there). The longest I have waited was two hours! I am a little shocked to find that my tolerance was so high. My appt was at 11am and I didn't get to see the dentist until 1pm. The wait would've been even longer if I hadn't got up and said I was leaving. This place likes to squeeze in as much patients into one time slot as they can. So prepare for long waits! They also like to suggest making appt right when they open. But it really doesn't make a big difference because they tell everyone that! Other than the long wait, I am pleased with the rest of my visits here. Dentist explains the procedures thoroughly and answers any questions or concerns I had. If there was a star rating lower than 1 I would give it. I've been a patient here since I was a kid and I am now an adult wanting to get my braces done again because of my teeth shifting. I just wanted to know the estimated pricing to get it done but they made me schedule a appointment so I did at 4:00 pm. I arrived at 3:58 pm and there was one more person waiting and I was the second one to be there. Another lady came and she was the third person. I was being impatient because I thought I would be consulted for 10 minutes but no. The dentist took in guy first and then another dentist nurse took in the lady that arrived after me. Worst experience of careless people who are thoughtless towards their patients considering that I was their patient for a while too. I waited, standing hoping to tell them how long will it take but the dentist told me to take a seat and wait, when it was already 4:20 pm. WAIT FOR WHAT?? I DON'T THINK I'LL BE WAITING 20 MINUTES JUST TO KNOW THE PRICES OF GETTING BRACES. ridiculous, I was on a time crunch too which made me become more frustrated with the lack of common sense they have to understand that I was upset with the way they treated me. Don't come here or you'll be dealing with inconsiderate people who only care for the money not the quality. I had to call many times and at the end go to the office and stand in front of them and wait for 20 mins for them to print out a simple statement. I heard Dr. Hui on radio many times. After researched, I thought Dr. Hui have lastest skill and knowledges . So I decided to try. It is very nice new building and the workers are nice and friends. I have very bad teethade and cannot eat and sleep. After X-ray check, Dr. Hui told me to remove two teeth and fix three holes. The second visit is next week. Everythings finished in one time. I am SO glad I came here after skimming through Yelp (for an emergency tooth extraction without an appointment) after I had just gotten sudden shooting pains in my back tooth. The (I'm gonna assume, abscessed) tooth had been bothering me for about a month, but this sensation.. it felt like my tooth had just split in half and the pain was shooting up the root of the tooth and all the way up to my brain. I never went to the dentist because I couldn't afford it and was still waiting on my health insurance to go through and would've preferred getting a root canal rather than losing the entire tooth, but I just could not bear this pain. The receptionist sounded so nice and patient over the phone and when I actually got to the office, all the employees greeted me and treated me amazingly. I had asked them to give me a quote first before actually doing anything because I still didn't have health insurance at this time and only had $285 cash in my wallet AND had recently lost my debit card so if it ended up being more, I'd have to run to the bank and waste more time, in pain, going inside and standing in line to withdraw cash (story of my life). They could see my tooth was really affecting me to the point where I was tearing up nonstop, so the Dr. told me that I could just get the extraction done and then come back and pay for the rest of the bill, which I already thought was very generous. Later, while they were waiting for the numbing cream to take affect on my gums (thank GOD), she came back in and told me I could just pay the $285 and not worry about the rest. I literally wanted to cry because I really can't afford anything right now, being that I work a part time job, am 21 years old, and living on my own. Every dollar counts. When it got to the actual extraction, the Dr. made sure I was comfortable. He turned the TV on for me and let me change it to whatever channel, they put stress balls in my hands during the procedure, and even massager on my cheek while they probed around in my mouth. When it came to the actual extraction, I felt absolutely no pain. Shit, I'd do it again. Everyone I know who has gotten teeth pulled have all told me it was painful as hell, but all I felt was pressure. When he was done and he started pumping the chair back up, I was like "..Wait, you're done?" They assistant said it was done and I was amazed. I still didn't even believe it had happened. And so quickly + painlessly. After the extraction, the doctor thoroughly went through with me the steps on how to take care of the area and what I could and could not do/have for the next few days. As I left, the Dr. gave me suggestions on where I could go for my prescriptions for good prices and the receptionist gave me a copy of my receipt and they told me I could go on my way! All in under 45 minutes, which is great since I had work in about 2 hours from the time I got to the dentist's office. I still had time afterward to go to Target to drop off my prescriptions. I wish I had more money so I could tip them. I won't go anywhere else now! read more

After having a falling out with my previous dentist and on the look out for a new one...on the recommendation of my coworkers I gave this place a try. Hands done, one of the best visits I've had in an extremely long time. I had my first visit today and I was greeted by Lili (the person I was told to look for) and filled out the necessary paperwork before getting started. All X-rays were done and I like that everything is now digital and can be viewed from the computer instead of the film. I knew that I needed new fillings and definitely a cleaning. The doctor was very friendly and asked me often enough if I was comfortable during the whole process. The cleaning was done by Lili herself. Overall, I think I've finally found my dentist for the long haul. I genuinely have nothing but positive things to say. One side was done and I'll be heading back to finish up the rest!!! read more

My friends, coworkers, and I all agree it's hard to find a good dentist. This was the first dental office that impressed me. #1: Customer Service - The receptionist was very polite. If I had any questions, the staff was ready and willing to answer them. #2: Dental Equipment - Very modern and clean. Bonuses: Easy and ample parking spaces and they had tv screens at the dental chair--makes the dental experience much more pleasant. (they were showing ratatouille when I was there--cute movie!) Minor Minuses: not too much interaction with the dentist himself--he did do the initial checkup of my teeth.. but I was only there for a teeth cleaning (nothing major)--and I'm sure he's a busy man.. so it didn't bother me too much. read more

Insurance frauds and money hungry people. They bill your insurance for anything they can get (from consultations and Xrays). Then they take unnecessary Xrays that aren't "covered" by insurance to make cash. I've been to several dental offices for implant consultations and this one is by far the worst one. The office is well kept but it's small. They're always on time with their appointments and the front office staff is nice. They speak multiple languages here so they can help a variety of people: Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Mandarin. The dentist speaks Mandarin and Cantonese as well. He's a really nice guy and will talk you through everything so you feel comfortable. Though he's nice, I personally didn't connect with him and didn't fall in love with the place. THE WORST EVER-- UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING Never in my life have I been treated so badly at a dental office. I do not trust or recommend this place to any of my friends or family members. They really deserve a MINUS Five star rating for pressuring me into buying SIX FILLINGS I did not need! I can barely believe what happened to me, how greedy this place is, and how uncaring they are... The Dentist, DR. Wally Hui, examined my teeth for a couple minutes, took some photos, told me I needed some fillings redone, and then left the room. Not once, did he examine, poke, or mention my gums. Not a complete exam at all. Suddenly, Lily, an office staff member, appeared and stated that I needed a DEEP cleaning, and have to pay over $200++ dollars. The dentist said absolutely nothing to me about the condition of my gums! (He just disappeared, and never visited me again) I told her I just wanted a REGULAR CLEANING first. The female dental assistant, Ann, who did my digital x-rays also did my cleaning. This is the first time I ever got a substandard dental cleaning and exam. This UNPROFESSIONAL and SUBSTANDARD dental cleaning consisted of using an electric brush to lightly polish, and then getting only four of my front bottom teeth scraped (lingual side only). I learned later at another dentist, that there was a lot of tartar left there and especially the back teeth, above the gum line . Lily came in again after the cleaning and told me that I need to pay for 6 fillings! She explained how I really needed to replace them urgently, and told me I had some cracks in current old ones. Imagine my horror! I asked Lily if I could get a copy of my digital x-rays to have on file, so I could get a second opinion. She adamantly refused, and re-iterated over and over that she could not give me, the patient, a copy of my x-rays because, "... it's against the law!" Then I asked, "Not even a paper copy?" She repeated herself again, and then added, "Only insurance can have a copy on request." I then knew she MISLEADING me because getting a copy of my x-rays WAS NOT against the Law! However, I didn't just give I up, I went back to Digital Dental Care with a written request for my digital dental x-rays and to inquire about the regular cleaning that I received... I asked Carmen, the receptionist, about the name of the dental asst. who did my cleaning and x-rays -- "I told you last time ... so many times you can NOT get a copy of your x-rays!" Lily abrasively yelled at me from the back of the Office. She kept repeating herself, so I asked her twice, "Would you write it down for me please, so there won't be any misunderstandings?" I handed my written request with a blank CD over ... I asked her some questions about my cleaning. I expressed my concern, "I don't think she did a complete cleaning because she only scraped four of my bottom teeth on the lingual side -- Is that complete?" Lily responded as she pointed to a jar of metal instruments, "No this one, only the doctor do it, you can not do it for the tooth." Then I asked, "So why did she do it then?" Lily responded, "I don't think so... she not supposed to, only doctor can do it." She then got quiet. So then I explained, "I really needed an x-ray copy so I can get a second opinion." Lily replied, "You can go get another office to take the x-ray, but I can't give you x-ray..." This UNPROFESSIONAL high-pressured tactic felt like a desperate attempt to keep me scammed, and exclusive to Digital Dental Office only. Me: What's considered a complete regular cleaning? Is it just the tooth polishing? Lily: Yeah. In short, I asked her to put in writing with her signature to state why she wasn't able to give me a copy so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding. Lily didn't want to, so instead, she went to ask Dr. Hui to sign it. Surprisingly, Dr. Hui yelled at her from the back room. Then I got a low-def paper print out of my teeth handed to me! When I went to get my second opinion from another dentist... the actual dentist, not any other staff member, patiently took the time to explain to me that there wasn't anything that needed to be done to my teeth immediately. Eventually in the future, I would have to replace the fillings as they wear out, like everyone else. I sighed in relief.. Apparently, based on my experience at Digital Dental, they don't care if you get a crappy, incomplete cleaning, or have to suffer from six non-urgent, unnecessary Drillings/Fillings, and painful shots; as long as they get their money. It made me wonder how many others at Digital Dental Care were mistreated, and will continue to be mistreated, especially if they don't know what their rights are, and/or no one stands up and puts an end to SUBSTANDARD, GREEDY dentistry. read more

I wished there was a no star option. This place sucks a lot. One, there are very rude and aggressive. The old guy who was looking at my teeth for cavities yelled at his assistance for not catching his canto numbers that she had to write down. Obviously, she said she couldn't understand canto, very unprofessional. Compared to my last dentist, this place stands no chance. First time here and I already hate it. The woman there rushed cleaning my teeth as if there was a ticking time bomb about to explode if she didn't finish cleaning under 30 seconds. While cleaning my teeth, they didn't even have the proper tools, just the rotating tooth booth device. Where's the water or the sucker thing? My first dental experience in the US is here and it is GOOD! The workers' attitude nice! Equipment new! Service fast and knowledgeable.

I was referred to Dr. Wally at Digital Dental for the low to no cost visits, but the service definitely gives them that extra star in the rating. I drive all the way from Newport Beach to Rosemead because it's always a top-notch experience. The staff is very helpful and nice, and Dr. Wally is very knowledgeable. This is the spot to go to if you want great service. Dr. Hui has done two root canals on me. If you need any help you can always ask the Amsi she's the one in charge of the insurance she took me step by step on how it worked and called me as soon as she got the ok from my insurance to proceed with my treatment it took no more then 1 month to get my two root canals done and have the lab bring in the crowns on. I referred my brother over to them and now he might be getting implants. The Dr. Knows what he's doing and his staff is very nice the office is clean and once you give her your insurance it takes no more then a day for her to call you and tell you what u can and can't do.
