She is always in a rush to get out. I had a question that needed a bit of explanation. She handled it in a way that made me feel shameful for having a question. Among the best medical service experiences I've ever had! I'm 60 and have recently had my lower front teeth shifting. My dentist was ready to provide invisilign correction but I decided to get a second opinion from an orthodontist. I found Dr. Wu online and made an appointment for a free consultation. I checked in and was immediately taken to Jennifer who went over the evaluation procedure. When we finished she brought Jackie in who took photos and X-rays. Then back to Jennifer's office when I waited a few minutes then met with Dr. Wu for her recommendation. Due to bone loss, which is apparently common at any age, she recommended against any orthodontia as moving the teeth puts stress on the bones which could lead to further bone loss. Clearly this doctor has patient well being first and foremost in her mind. I'm so grateful! And am so glad I sought out a trained orthodontist who evaluates the whole situation and isn't going to provide merely a cosmetic approach. I had photos, X-rays and evaluation at no cost. Amazing! This place is like an assembly line. No personal service. It's like the doctor is in a rush to spend the least amount of time with you that she possibly can. Every question is met with brisk rudeness, a tight fake smile, and passive aggression. We've never had more than 30 seconds with the doctor. The place is always crowded and it just feels like they don't care at all about the individuality of your kids teeth and face, they just do the same treatment for everyone. We paid in full so we'll finish treatment but I recommend others find a place with kinder, more personally tailored service. Another friend of mine also overheard them once having a meeting about "not letting anyone leave without signing a contract" to assure they would become customers, it's a real smarmy car salesman-y vibe. read more

We were referred to Dr. Wu from her husband, Dr. Joe who has a pediatrics dentistry also in South Pas. The inside is quite quaint, however more modern than you would think, given its in a little house. Super easy to check-in on the IPads and the staff all are friendly. Dr. Wu is very pleasant and is the right balance between friendly and professional. My son just got in for Phase 1 of his braces and they explained everything to both my son and I in a thorough manner. Only been there twice, but so far so good. read more

My son had invisalign and the treatment was very good. Please note that invisalign cost $6,330 for the 17 month treatment to correct an overbite and after completion I was asked to pay an additional $1,000 for retainers. I just wanted others to have full disclosure since I was not extended this courtesy and was quite surprised when they asked for more money at the end of a very expensive treatment. read more

I came here with my daughter to see Dr Wu and over the past year we have seen Dr Kim as well. I love Dr Wu and Dr Kim here. Even the staff is so friendly. Dr Wu was really nice and did not judge me for nursing my 3 year old! They have nice magna tiles in the waiting space and my kids love to pick up their treats after their examination is done. Parking on Oak St is free but can be tricky when school is in session. I just wish they saw adults too!! Hi, Thank you for the explanation. The first thing I would like to clarify is, I was NEVER told there are two options for consultation when I made my appointment. And during my appointment I was also told if I would like to move forward with the treatment plan then you guys would take the X-ray for me. There might have miscommunication in between but thats what I heard during the consultation. Second, yes, I got the quote and there was an initial treatment idea but not the ideal solution. Then you told me to find someone else. To be honest, I went in with hope but ended up leaving with the feeling like don't want to input too many efforts on me... I hope it's just my personal case, so lets move on. I still believe Dr. Wu is a good doctor. Ok so I loved my old orthodontist who put on my braces. He was amazing but I lived in Denver at the time. So fast forward to last week (5 years later) when my bonded retainer starts coming off and bugging that SH$T out of me! I did what any reasonable person would do... I called my orthodontist in Denver to make an appt and started looking at flights. Luckily his receptionist understands how neurotic I am and told me that I should really look for an orthodontist in my area and told me exactly what to ask for to make sure they could help me. OK, I will try but it's a Friday so I get out my needle nose pliers and pull off most of the retainer but leave a jagged piece that is now poking my tongue....aghhhh! After calling several orthodontists and leaving messages or talking to receptionists that didn't care how much irritation I was going through, they didn't have an appt until August or whatever. I was thrilled when I got a call back from Sue saying that since I really wanted to get in quickly, Dr. Wu could see me in her husbands pediatric dentistry office while her new office is under construction. Needless to say.... "Please, heck yes, and thank you"! So as if they hadn't already won me over by seeing me for a consult, Dr. Wu sees how much pain I am in and removes both my bonded retainers (the other one was in bad shape too) in that very appointment!! Not only that, she was amazingly patient with my hyper sensitive teeth and took time to get all the glue off without hurting me. There is a reason I loved my old ortho, he was patient with me. Just completed my treatment late August with Dr. Wu, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. This is my second round of braces. I slacked off on retainers after middle school. My upper front tooth became 45 degree crooked, and most teeth were misaligned. I found Dr. Wu via Yelp, and was impressed on my initial consultation visit. The office is very clean. The staff are very friendly. Dr. Wu discovered my receding gum problem and referred me to a very capable periodontist for treatment before i can start with her. Through out the two and half year treatment, Dr. Wu was very patient and accommodating. She made sure I was happy with every step of change. If I reported an issue, she made adjustment immediately. With the pandemic going on, Dr. Wu took everyone's safety seriously. She implemented additional safety procedure to make sure all the patients and staff are protected, such as no waiting room, physical distancing, temperature check and extra protective gears. They are very friendly over the phone. I went in for a second opinion about Invisalign. I was up front about this when booking the appointment. Dr. Wu seemed bothered that I did not want to stick with my current ortho. Free parking!! I have a friend who came here to get Invisalign done, and every time I come with him, I like it more. His teeth are also starting to look really good, despite this only being his 4th month. Located on a nice trendy street in Pasadena, this place is understated, which I love. They're not trying to sell you extra services with weird gimmicks. Dr. Wu is professionally trained at Harvard and is amazing technically. In addition, she has amazing bed...er...chairside manners, and will never try to sell you things you don't need. You will love her. She is so sweet and charming, and makes any kid or neurotic teenager comfortable. My friend is an adult and he also loves it here. The receptionist is really nice, and they are accommodating. Dr. Wu is such a sweet ortho and she's amazing. Sue was also really helpful! So I found out about Dr. Wu through a friend that had her braces consultations done with Dr. Wu and she highly recommended me to go see her as well. Well, Dr. Wu is way too awesome. Although I was only there for a consultation but she was really really thorough and took her time explaining the differences between traditional braces and Invisalign to me. Of course before seeing Dr. Wu, her dental assistant(forgot her name, but she was really really sweet as well) did x-rays and took some photographs of my teeth to be examined later by Dr. Wu. Okay, the reason people seek ortho(s) is to fix their teeth to make it look great and that we can have more confident when we smile. I was really really uncomfortable when the dental assistant took pictures of my teeth but she was really sweet and told me that's why they're here to help us and really comfort me and told not to be too embarrassed. I had a great consultation session with Dr. Wu and staff. Although it was only for 30-45 minutes, I know Dr. Wu did really took her time into telling me about the braces process and everything. My daughter looks forward to every appointment because Dr. Wu is so positive, warm and kind. When we enter the office, we are always welcomed by a friendly staff. Dr. Wu spends ample of time with us explaining every procedure and updates us on my daughter's teeth progress. She makes my daughter feel comfortable and happy to be wearing metal in her mouth. My daughter also loves her light touch and pain free style of tightening braces. She also gets to change up the color of the bands on her braces every 6 weeks. How cool is that? The price is very reasonable. She never tried to nickel and dime us. She was very upfront with the cost and as sweet as she is--she never sugar coated our financial responsibility. I saw Dr. Wu for the last two years at UCLA and now my family, friends and colleagues are all enjoying my beautiful smile. I am excited to find her on Yelp and learned that she had set up her own practice, which means more kids/adults in LA will have a happy beautiful smile from such a nice and skillful doctor. As an adult patient of Dr. Wu, my case is technically very hard and also I knew I need to leave LA within two years when I started. She is very considerate and was able to adjust her own schedule to fit my needs so that I can finish in time. She was trained in the top dental schools in the US and herself taught classes at UCLA. She is a master of the knowledge, skills, and latest techniques in orthodontics. Through my treatment, she was always willing to explain how my teeth had moved if I asked her and very patiently taught me how to put on the elastics and how to clean my teeth properly. She is very skillful and experienced, and moved very fast on my teeth so that I didn't feel painful during the treatment even as an adult. She was able to finish my teeth, perfectly, within two years, just as she promised. Besides her top skills, she also has a special eye for a beautiful mile based on each individual's facial profile. She told me that she would like to align my upper teeth with my lower lip so that I can look younger. Now that most people think I am at least 5 years younger than I am! I went to Dr. Wu after my teeth shifted due to not wearing my retainers the first time around. Compared to my first orthodontist, she's a breath of fresh air! The orthodontist I went to for braces was so rude and ignorant - Dr. Wu is the EXACT OPPOSITE. After my consultation for getting my teeth straight again, I felt confident in her and her staff's services and knew that I'd have a good experience for my time with her. She provided me with all of the details I needed for my treatment (I got active retainers / aligners because my teeth weren't too bad and I didn't need to get braces all over again). She cautioned me on adjustments that might occur with my mouth and was extremely reassuring. She also made sure that my dental hygiene was up to par to even begin my treatment. I love Dr. Wu and her staff! I got braces in middle school and wore my retainers diligently for 20 years (don't worry, I got several replacements over the years). My retainers broke and I was too busy to get a replacement (had a baby). After 6 months of not wearing retainers, I had a gap in my front teeth / noodle depository. I love noodles, so this was a tremendous inconvenience. My dentist referred me to Dr. Wu and I have been so pleased. Dr. Wu's bedside manner is wonderful. She is thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. Dr. Wu is always cheerful and very patient with my questions and concerns. After a few short months of Invisalign, my gap is gone and I can fearlessly enjoy noodles! A few additional items that I consider icing on the cake - *They use the latest technology and equipment - very different from my 2001 experience!
