Very long overdue review... went here a number of years ago and got the traditional metal braces…read more Most of the work on my teeth were performed by assistants and Dr Greenberg only popped in at the end of each appt for a quick check. I spent about 2 years in braces and throughout treatment, I explained my priorities and could see that even as I went thru treatment and towards the end, my bite wasn't ideal at all. My back molars were not lining up correctly and occlusion on the molars was practically non existent, especially in the left side. I could really only chew slightly on my right side. When I brought this up, Dr Greenberg told me it's the best she could do for me. Towards the end, I gave up and had the braces removed since I could see that the desired occlusion was not going to be achieved. When the assistant removed my brackets she was so forceful that she chipped off a piece of my enamel on one of my lower teeth. I heard an unnatural sound and felt something was wrong, but she kept insisting that it's just cement. It turned out to be my enamel and not cement! Fast forward a few years and I'm now having to deal with gum recession, probably because of the trauma to the teeth from the misaligned bite since my ortho treatment didn't correct it. Added to these horrible turn of events, I discovered when going to a dentist for a crown that the retainers that were made for me to wear were not even properly fitted! The same assistant did my mold for the retainers and did them so poorly for the lower jaw that it didn't take a good imprint, so wearing them was useless all these years because it was such a poor imprint that it didn't hold my teeth in place. Yet, what was upsetting was Dr Greenberg inspected those retainers and despite the crappy quality, instead of having them redone properly, she let me walk out the door with them! I stopped using these retainers since they were inadequate at doing what they are supposed to do.

My crown had come off and I needed a replacement quickly, so I returned here out of convenience. From the start, it felt like he was focused on selling me the most expensive options rather than giving honest recommendations. I chose a porcelain crown, but what frustrated me was that he never mentioned that a metal crown would have been a better, longer-lasting choice for a back tooth until after my porcelain crown was permanently cemented two weeks later. Had he told me that upfront, I would have chosen the more durable option without hesitation. He also kept changing his explanation for why my original crown came off. At first he told me it was likely due to the cementing not being done correctly. Two weeks later, he changed the story and said it was probably because of grinding, not cementing. The inconsistency felt unprofessional and confusing. The first appointment was also incredibly frustrating he was overbooked and juggling too many patients, and with only one dentist working, I ended up being there for almost three hours just for a mold and a basic cleaning. I almost didn't make it in time to pick up my kids. Speaking of the cleaning, it was honestly the most aggressive cleaning I've ever experienced. I bled far more than normal not because my teeth were overly dirty, but because of how rough he was. Even when placing my permanent crown and removing excess cement, he scraped my gums so hard that I felt it immediately and tasted blood. It was completely unnecessary. The environment itself is clean, which I appreciate, but the overall experience felt more like dealing with a salesperson than a genuine dentist. Even his staff didn't seem happy to be there. The front staff lady kept asking me to reschedule my 6 month cleaning after I told her twice I was going to call and schedule it later. She even tried asking me to schedule it in January even though I just got the cleaning done 2 weeks ago. Dentist informed me there would be a $350 extra fee to have my crown delivered sooner, something my previous dentist never charged for. It felt like yet another upsell. I just had my braces put on at their office, and the process was pretty quick (around an hour). After I was done, they went over some guidelines I needed to follow.
