We love coming here every year to play volleyball. Last time we went they had leagues going on which we didn't no so we had to wait a while to play. I tried to look on the website prior to going and didn't see that information, but maybe I missed it. I definitely recommend going on a night when there's not leagues or you may wait a while. We loved the place, it's family friendly, the sand playground next to the volleyball courts worked out perfect for us! We could watch the kids while playing volleyball.. We shared appetizers, so we tried lots of food, and it was all so good! We were a big table of 12 adults and 6 kids.. Separate checks with no issues, which I understand can be confusing for a server, with people moving around, and walking in and out to play.. Showed up at 10:15 was told its 21 and up. Its summer time. Nothing in the area was serving food even pizza places closed. Thankfully Elis sports bar was open. Feed hungry people if you are open. Id idiots go up there and drink with their kids handle it without losing customers. read more

Me and my bestfriend come here every Thursday and Friday. The food is great especially the tenders and loaded fries. The bartenders are amazing especially Jill and lorie. Friday nights are great when the DJ is playing. It's a great environment and I've never had a problem in the 5 years I've been going here. Great spot to hang out outside have an affordable beer and just mingle with friends. A lot of canned beer choices and just your basic run of the mill domestic beer choices. I really want to like this place. Really... and I give it chance after chance after chance because I want to like it. And I always leave unhappy with the food and service. I think if they could improve one of those it could be bearable. My kids said to me last time, "Dad, this place sucks... why do you ever come back here?" The volleyball courts are great and the bar is good - a few decent taps (although I have no confidence a place this poorly run would ever clean the taps or beer lines). The menu is bar food but piss-poor bar food at the best. The wings are possibly mediocre but the rest of the menu is sub-par... even if you are hungry. If you come with a large group or are at the restaurant at the time there is a large group (like a kids athletic team) be prepared to wait. Wait. Wait. Like a really long time.... like an hour for a chicken sandwich. I kid you not. If you go with the expectation of playing volleyball with friends and sucking back a half dozen miller lites, I think you'll be satisfied and enjoy the place. Diggs is popular mainly because of the volleyball league. The food is hit and miss. The servers rotate so often it is hard to get a decent one. This would not be too terrible of the ownership cared at all about the customer. We have been there every Friday for the last month and there has been an issue every time. Our team brings friends and family and we have easily spent over $2000 there between all of us. Every issue was met with indifference from the owners. I had my neighbors get kicked out because they argued on paying for food that was never brought to them. My friends offered to pay for the drinks just not the food and the owners said just leave and don't come back. This place is not a place to go with your family. Do not go there for a great night out. Just go there for a beer and a volleyball game and then leave. If the ownership gave even a little effort this place would be much better. However they are banking on the leagues to carry the profits so they can ignore customers. Unfortunately we will take our team to Back porch next league. read more

I discovered Diggs approximately 18 months ago and I must say I'm a huge fan! It's a great sand volleyball /sports bar with friendly service and good pub food. Nothing fancy just classic bar food done really well! I've tried their sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers and awesome appetizers. Each time my food has been consistently piping hot when it arrived, and the portion sizes very generous. The owners and employees are always friendly, fun, and efficient. With ample TVs for sports fans, a huge outdoor patio, at least 6 sand volleyball nets, and a large play set surrounded in sand for kids during the day, Diggs is a no-brainer when you're looking to please a diverse group! Regular nightly events such as volleyball, trivia, live music, DJ's, karaoke, euchre, etc. keep me coming back for more. What would I change? Better signage from the street and more drink specials. This will be a play-by-play review as it is not starting off well. As I walked in to have a quick bite and a beer the place was pretty empty considering there is a National AAU basketball tournament across the parking lot. Sign says, "please seat yourself" so, I grab a hightop. A waitress is cleaning a table next to me and trying not to make eye contact...guess I'm not in her section, cool. Another breezes by me, no love. Finally after staring down a couple waitress at the bar engaged in conversation, one finally acknowledges me. I figured I better order everything now. Sam Adams Summer Ale and an order of BBQ wings. Waiting and waiting for my brew. Taps out. Just a minute. Finally tiny plastic cup comes to my table. About 15 minutes later, got my wings. The wings are O.K. After all it's bar grub so, the bar is pretty low. They're fried hard which is how I like them but, nowhere near "Jumbo" as advertised on the menu. My waitress has finally decided to check on me. Awesome, there's nothing but bird carcass left in my basket now. It's the thought that counts, right? Listen, if you are into sand volleyball this place my be your type of dive. I just wanted some wings and brew and felt like I hand to beg someone to take my money. Maybe just a bad day. read more

Good: ability to play on sand volleyball courts, talented guitar player Bad: unprofessional staff, poor customer service, very disorganized sand volleyball leagues, uninformative website Drastic improvements need to be made to their customer service. If you intend on playing in one of their sand volleyball leagues expect a lack of coordination and unprofessionalism if you have any questions. Promises of a full season schedule have been made, but weeks into the season we are still operating on a method of sending out game times just a few days before when we are set to play. Good luck if there is bad weather and wondering if you are playing. On our day to play it had stormed all day. An employee was very hostile to a team member of mine who called and asked if the games were canceled. They were told very aggressively to stop calling and asking so many questions. I had seen people bring in food (ie. subway, Chick-fil-A) and no where on the website did it say outside food was prohibited. Also it should be noted I couldn't even open their menu online to see what food they had available. One week I brought in a small outside meal because our game had been pushed back. I bought a beer from Diggs and was halfway through my food when the waitress said "you can't bring in food." I asked her what she would like me to do and she said "I don't know but you can't have it." I tried to quickly finish my half eaten meal. She came up again quite hostile and said "you're going to get me in trouble." The polite and professional thing to do would have been to advise that outside food is not allowed but I can finish the food I had. Instead it was an awkward, hostile and unprofessional interaction. Since then I have seen many others bring in food and nothing is every said to them. I will advise others to be cautious if they are deciding to give their business to Diggs. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. We came here w a party of 20. 1/2 the food came out and no one had any drinks. Server was clueless. A member of our group got up and went to the drink refill station (meant for the servers to use)and got drinks for our entire party. We waited and waited. 4 of us never got our food at all. I guess the question is: why are you here? Volleyball or food? I hope it's for the volleyball. If you came for the volleyball, and you might grab a snack while you are there to go with your beer, this place is great! Nice sand courts, a nice place for the kids to play, and a super covered patio with live entertainment. If - like us - you came with your (indoor) volleyball team as a season-end party, you would be sorely disappointed. The cost wasn't bad, but the food was marginal at best. We called the day before to let them know we were coming and had a party of 20. It took 90 minutes from the time we ordered for everyone to receive their food. The first folks in the group got theirs in about 30-40 minutes. So some were finished eating for almost an hour before the entire group was served. Wow. Just crazy. read more

I absolutely love coming to Diggs bar and grill. A really fun, relaxing atmosphere. Trivia night is on Tuesdays and it is awesome. You can win money AND its free to play! I won $330 in keno and was told they could NOT cash the ticket - bc they didn't have enough money in there drawer. They told me to go to either the gas station or the neighboring bar ( James Third Base ). Now, I like the lady that runs Diggs- She has always been nice. However, how insulting would it be for me - to put money into a keno machine at Diggs, and then go to James third base to collect my winnings? Considering that Diggs can take my losses but not my winnings?!?. I know the owner of James third base would, and frankly, he would most likely smile and say "you got lucky Chuck." ( By the way state of Ohio lottery system has you carry a certain amount of cash at all times for a bar to operate Keno, its a reserve fund of I believe $5500.00 ) Diggs clearly does not have that. - I very well could be wrong on that, but I will follow up with the state gaming system to double check and make sure. I don't remember any other place that offers keno; asking me to run to a competitor or a gas station to collect winnings when I have placed money into their establishment. NASTY and everything sticky! Bar tender had no idea what was on tap. The bar was sticky. Behind the bar looked like a garbage dump.

I operated volleyball leagues and tournaments here for 2 years, by renting court time.
