Stopped into Digity Dog today after 4 years feom my last visit. Since then, they have moved and down sized. Hoping to pick up 3 dog collars that say "Carmel by The Sea" for my 3 fur kids at home. Unfortunately, they said it was something in the works and they really didn't have a good selection of collars. They did carry a cute line called Up Country. Nothing caught my eye and I walked out empty handed. I wasn't a fan of their new location and thought their last store was way better and more stocked. They did have a cute Red Doberman in their for adoption. I like that they promote rescue. I fell in love with a sling but held off with my purchase since I didn't have my miniature pincher with me. Oh yeah! I love to spoil my dog. This store aims to please. I bought my dog a charm and a Diggidy Dog tank top. They even have a list of dog friendly restaurants and hotels near the register. We love Diggidy Dog! On a quick trip up to Carmel, we decided to stop in for some treats for our Frenchie, Stella. Everyone was so warm and welcoming! Immediately we were greeted by Pierre, the store Frenchie and his owner Vanessa. Vanessa went above and beyond in all regards! From fitting Stella into a new harness, to privately messaging me helpful information and videos on an optimal diet for a Frenchie, she truly is a caring soul with a great passion for dogs and their wellbeing. The store itself has a variety of harnesses, clothing, bandanas, toys, grooming, food and treats! Such a friendly lady running the shop and she gave my pup some awesome snacks while we wear in there. Mostly clothing for smaller dogs, but was able to to find a nice fleece vest for my pup the quality for $30 was amazing. Lots of snacks and tear options, too. This place is utterly SO cute! It's on a side street in Carmel and there are always super cute puppies inside the store sniffing around the snack bins and their frantic owners making sure that they're not eating any of the delightful looking treats. This store is stocked full of awesome things if you are a pet owner from cats and dogs alike (their cat collars are SO cute!). Stumbled across this gem while downtown Carmel-By-the-Sea on a Friday morning! It instantly caught my eye from the amazing dog clothes display. This store is packed with the good brands like Gooby, all of the gooby vests and harnesses were also priced SUPER reasonable! They carry a variety of adorable sweaters and clothing for pups. Some is reasonable but some is slightly out of price range for me to pay..but it's also Carmel, California. Most people there can do it! The owner and her coworker, Jason, were so genuinely nice, honest, and down to earth. We all know that Carmel is one the the most "dog friendly" communities in the country, so I would expect the city to have a lot of these kinds of "doggie boutiques". We've been visiting for years and this store seems to be all you need to gear up your favorite canine. They have an incredible selection of doggie accessories, from leashes to doggie hoodies, and everything in between. Some items you might recognize from a local chain store, but the majority of their offerings seem exclusive or one-of-a-kind. The same goes for the selections of treats and toys and they even have a fresh baked treat section. Super cute dog store that we parked right next to when we got to Carmel. This is one of the biggest doggy accessory store I've ever stepped into. I've never seen over 4 walls and sections for dog collar and leashes. They also have tons of different doggy beds and furniture. And buckets upon buckets of dog treats. Too bad poor Chunkadoodle has the most sensitive tummy ever and can't eat treats. :( I'm glad I somehow stumbled upon the clearance rack for dog collars and leashes because Chunk got a new set for himself for under $15! This was our first stop out on the town for our weekend getaway with the pooches. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by several staff members and we were asked if our dogs could have a treat. As the owner of a dog with allergies, I very much appreciated that. When i told the guy that my dog was allergic to the cookie he wanted to give him, he asked what my boy could have, and returned very quickly with a higher quality chicken treat. It was very nice. This is a very large store, as far as boutiques go! Tons of stuff to goggle at: lots of toys for dogs and cats, clothing, treats, beds, collars, gifts for humans, the whole nine yards. Dogs are welcome of course, and they even have a bench and little potty area right outside the front door, as well as a water bowl. Prices were high, but seemed normal for boutiques. They have a list of all of the dog friendly hotels and restaurants in the area at the front desk, which was good because we had left ours at our B&B. Although I didn't buy anything other than some bully sticks, it is certainly a fun place to go, and really a must see if you are in Carmel with your dog for the first time! read more

Ever walk into on of those downtown boutique stores that looks great from the outside only to disappoint with such a tiny selection inside? This ain't that place! What a great selection of treats, harnesses, leashes, collars, beds, toys...well you get the idea! No doggy day trip to Carmel would be complete without a stop at this cute little pet supply store. It's located just around the corner from the main street near the top of the hill. That's why we pull our humans there every chance we get. The employees are very friendly and obviously love pets! This dog boutique is really cute and have cute clothes but only for smaller breed dogs. I love dressing my chocolate Labrador in cute shirts and have such a tough time finding clothes in XL when I go to this store. They also have really cute dog toys here but again they are more meant for smaller breed dogs and are overly priced. The boutique is conveniently a short walk from the beach, so every time we do visit for a beach trip I always stop by and get my Labrador a quick treat. This store is very cute but very overpriced. I was walking with my dog (pit bull) and she wanted to go in because she likes to smell everything just like every other dogs. She smells the dog bone that was by the door but wasn't trying to grab or steal it. My dog just wants to smell. However, a couple lady who work there tried to accused me and my dog for trying to steal... I would definitely give this place a zero star if I can. Love... there is always something new at Diggity Dog. I love getting collars for my dog's collars here. Her normal pet store collars get ragid. But, the collars I buy here are better quality. Although nothing is cheap here, I understand that it is Carmel. On the bright side, I let my dog pick out her toy and she went to a basket. She went to a basket and fished out a squeaky frog. This adorable little doggie boutique features dog accessories that would be hard to find anywhere else. I gave them 5 stars because the items they carry are unique and excellent quality. My dogs loved that the treats were in open bins at nose level. They picked out their own treats, which I know they will eat. Service was fabulous. Denny helped me pick out matching collars and leashes. She even swapped out my dogs ID tags for me, which can be a real pain. This isn't a place I would shop at frequently because it's a bit pricy (you get what you pay for) but it's perfect for that special something when you're in town. We were walking towards the beach to play with our dog when we realized that we forgot the ball!!!! We were just in front of this shop and went in! It was soooo cute! The staff was extremely friendly and you can tell that they love dogs! Our dog was so happy and excited with all the attention he got :) We ended up getting a ball and a holiday collar for our pup. They had cute clothes for dogs but mostly small breeds (we have a golden retriever). They have plenty of toys, tags, etc. Cooper also got plenty of treats so I can say that the three of us loved this place! read more

Diggity Dog store has always been a wonderful store and have recommended it to everyone. So disappointed when I visited their new store on Ocean. It looks just like any other small pet boutique in many towns not the great store it used to be. They are only carrying about a third of what was in their original store. So disappointing! read more

This is the place to go for selection. We were able to find things that we could never get at Petco. A beautiful eggplant colored coat for our large dog ($70), a real wool sweater ($49) with an American Flag, tons of doggy treats (she chose the Turkey chips) and a 3 row rhinestone pink leather collar ($179). The wonderful variety and the posh location mean big prices!! We didn't notice the price of the collar until we got rung up. Those rhinestones better never fall out. We loved getting such great variety, so it was worth it to us. Update: The expensive $179 pink leather collar with rhinestones, almost 1 year later, is still beautiful with no missing stones. The leather looks brand new and our dog rolls around in the dirt. We bought her a cheaper, different brand black $50 collar a few months ago, someplace else, with rhinestones and one of the stones fell out in 2 weeks! I'm starting to think the $179 collar was actually a good purchase. read more

We come to Carmel a couple times a year and always make a walking trip here with our dogs. We let them pick out their own specialty treats they sell in bulk. The employees genuinely love seeing the dogs who shop and visit. I have bought my dogs their birthdays cookies here and many toys. They also seek shampoos and beds and huge variety of collars, leashes, cat toys, and clothing. None of my dogs, all shelties, need clothing but fun to look at.
