I arrived on time for my 12:45 appointment with Dr. P. Doukides at Bethesda Hospital at 1905 Clintmore in Boca Raton, FL. I was told there'd be at least a two-hour delay and that I might not be seen at all, with no prior notice, no concern, no apology--completely unprofessional and unacceptable treatment, especially for someone with serious health conditions. What type of doctor does something so frivolously? Yep, I was angry, feeling dismissed while dealing with something genuinely difficult and risky for my health. Their attitude went down hill real fast. They refused to help us clear this up we were forced to negotiate with the procedure facility to save our credit.

It was nearly a comedy of errors when trying to work out an appointment between his office and the VA, which I never experienced before. I finally got an opportunity to meet with him and he was totally removed from the encounter, lacking eye contact and warmth, showing little or no interest in my case or me other than a perfunctory attempt at patient interaction. After that encounter I thought about it and decided to cancel my appointment with him. When I did go to the office to retrieve my authorization letter, he was there and had his head buried in his phone while I attempted to explain why I canceled.
