I just popped in to this place and I'm surprised it doesn't have over 4 stars! The food was freshly cooked to perfection and I enjoyed EVERY bite. The hot honey chicken was delicious. The chef and the other woman working were very nice and answered all my questions with no attitude. I wish I lived here so I could return again and again. It's like a WAY better version of Cava. I'd 100% recommend!

What an absolute gem! I stopped by for lunch on a weekday with a bunch of luggage. There were a few free tables still as there were a lot of food delivery orders being picked up. All of the staff there were welcoming and efficient. The food was very fresh and cooked to order! The greens were crisp, the tofu was hot and crispy (I love tofu but even if you didn't I think this would be a good tofu for you because it is pretty mild, not overly soy tasting). The broccoli and sweet potatoes both impressed me! The lemony acid of the broccoli was delicious, and the sweet potatoes had a beautiful caramelized taste. Brought all together with a bright pesto, it was 10/10! Generous portion for a lunch size too. This is great spot to catch a nutritious, filling, tasty, and customizable lunch. Bonus, if you're a traveler and need to use the bathroom, the bathrooms have a code -- just ask the cashier when you order -- and then are nice and clean. Overall I would absolutely recommend to both locals and visitors alike!

Found this Dig after searching for a place to eat lunch near my job! Such a great experience. I'm already a fan of the food at Dig but the new culinary experience took it to another level. My food was brought to me really quickly after I placed the order. The staff was friendly and gave me a warm greeting. Ordered: Herb roasted chicken with brown rice, broccoli and sweet potato. Also got a side of mac Likes: - free wifi - not crowded - bar style seating as well as causal dining seating - good food and portion size. This will be my new secret lunch spot.

This is the elevated sit-down version of the classic DIG. The menu is the same but instead of enjoying your meal in a takeout container, you get to enjoy it in an actual bowl in the heart of the West Village. Salmon was flavorful, tender, and came with its crispy skin. The broccoli had the perfect amount of lemon tang to it & flaky sea salt. Would probably pass on the mac and cheese and opt for their carrots next time. Lovely place to catch up with friends in a casual but inviting atmosphere.

Having been here back when it used to be 232 Bleecker, I was curious to see how they'd updated it. I actually haven't been to any of the other regular locations recently so I'm not sure if this is just another DIG now. They serve bowls, salads, sides, and even alcohol. You place your order at the counter or via the QR code located on each table. I had the Cashew Kale Caesar with Salmon, which was very tasty and filling. My only complaint is that the salmon was overly salty and I had to break it up and mix it with the salad in order to make it bearable. I'm assuming someone went a little overboard with the salt this one time. My partner had the Hot Honey Chicken and enjoyed it. Overall, I think this is a great place for a quick, casual meal in the area.

Love this spot as a healthy post workout meal! Plates are super customizable and their sides are so hard to choose from. I really want to come back to try their sandwiches. Don't sleep on their garlic aioli!

Here's the rundown: - naan: recommend this, though maybe overhyped myself based on previous reviews. The yogurt sauce was delish, but the bread itself was very good but not mind blowing. - BLT salad: dark horse fav! Tons of flavor and I kept going back for more. Recommend as an app - Union Square bento: honestly, wish this came in a real bento box. Seems like a miss, but I suppose separate plates give you more volume. Good to add as a side to whatever else you get. Cabbage was the best of the trio. - rice bowl: squash and rice were solid, but the shrimp was the standout here! Very flavorful shrimp. Not sure how they packed so much flavor into the little bites of them - fried chicken thighs: I mean, yes. They're juicy. They're fried excellently. The side sauces are creative and great for vinegar-lovers like me I also got the carrot cocktail which was ultra smooth and had the right amount of dill flavor. We got two cookies to go which were divine. I'd get them to stay to try it with the oolong milk next time, but we had to run. The service was friendly, courteous. Ambiance was trendy but not uptight. Would recommend for a nicer night out

The gnocchi was nice - just the right amount of chew with a cheesy interior, and a nice sauce that was creamy, crunchy from bread crumbs and little bits of toasted garlic, and a nice herb oil over top. The tiramisu was next level - definitely more chocolate forward than coffee, but still did a nice job of bringing those two flavors together with the salted mascarpone. There's a layer of crunchy wafer bits halfway down that made the experience particularly unique. Total worked out to just under $57 after tax and tip. It's expensive, and getting in is such a hassle. I'd still come back at least for the dessert (and the pasta is decent too).

The acidity was just right, refreshing without being too sweet. A bite after the meal was incredibly soothing. All good but the espresso martini was a little lackluster. We mainly shared food starting with 3 Dressed Big Rock Oysters. While the presentation was beautiful, they were a little too dressed for me. The Zou Zou's Dip Tower, however, was fabulous. Every dip was unique and delicious and had us consistently rotating between all of them. The bread that came with it was so fresh and warm and the crudo was good to use as dip vessels as well. Finally, we ended by sharing The Zou Burger and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. While it was good, the waiter forgot to remove the sumac onions like we had asked. We also had to wait long periods between being helped and the waiter didn't seem to really be that familiar with the menu when we asked questions about what we ordered. A stunning place with really good food, but for the caliber of restaurant, we shouldn't have to ask the bartender for refills or our check.
