This office came highly recommended by a friend. Dr. Dawn made time for her on the schedule and got her in right away, even as a new patient. She was so thorough and calm throughout the entire exam. She even gave my daughter an eye exam while we were there and although she doesn't need glasses, she will be our eye doctor going forward! This is the first review I've written so that alone should be telling. Instead of realizing I needed reading glasses, he became very frustrated and rude when my eye sight became unstable during multiple exams. He gave me wildly varying prescriptions within a few weeks. I emailed recently about a contact lense credit I had at his office (he said he could have me seeing with contact lenses - he couldn't even get me in glasses!!). His reply email was shockingly rude as it had been a few years. Their "so-called" administration assistants or secretaries responsible for setting up appointments, ordering eyewear, and generally dealing with customers are extremely rude and incredibly incompetent. I called to make an appointment for an eye exam with Weidig, and asked the secretary if she could provide a pack of emergency contact lenses when I come in for my exam in two weeks, and she assured me they would be there. When I came in for my exam, they had not ordered the lenses, even Dr. Weidig looked in the admissions area. No apology was offered. After my exam I ordered two new sets of eye glasses (long distance and reading) and new contacts. Over the next weeks, I received test messages that said "my eyewear was ready for pickup". When I drove in for pickup, only one pair of glasses was there, and they ended up not fitting and needed new longer temples. When I asked the Karen's at the admissions area, they got rude and said the text messages are sent out automatically and they have no control over their computers. When I asked if they could just call me and leave a short message like "Mr. Kelly, your reading glasses are here, but we're still waiting for the other items", they became defensive and rude. I waited a month for contact lenses and reading glasses. Phone calls to their offices were answered rudely and defensively by the secretary staff. I had been a patient of Dr. Breunig for about 20 years and had spent plenty of money there for exams and eyewear. This particular time I ordered over $1,000 worth of eyewear and I was treated so rudely I told one of the Karen's that you've just lost a longtime customer. She actually smiled and gave a thumbs up, happy to see me go! Dr. Breunig was actually standing right there with a scowl on his face staring me down threateningly supporting his rude staff. If I had ever treated my customers anything like these people treated me in 40 years of working with customers, I would've been fired immediately. And after I had been a longtime customer there. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy incompetent and rude behavior by this staff which is supported by their optometrists.

The office ordered the wrong contact samples multiple times. While Dr. Weidig tried several new combinations of contact lenses (prescription and brand), nothing worked better than my current prescription. Unfortunately, this trial and error approach took over a month due to the ordering mistakes by the office staff. Finally, after deciding to stay with my current prescription, I reordered them through their office. What a mistake. They once again ordered the wrong lenses for my left eye. To make matters worse, they blamed the mistake on me, saying I was confused about what I wanted because the doctor's prescription was different than what I wanted. I clearly know what I want and their incompetence was very frustrating, especially their arrogance when telling me it was my mistake. I ordered my contacts from 1800contacts! I won't go back to this office - once was enough for me.
