The installation, service, and personal interactions with Patrick were all very good! I did not give 5 stars because the work was initially scheduled for August. It was not completed until October due to the high number of homeowners using Diffley. I needed to be able to grow grass right away. THAT is an issue for me as my backyard now (when not frozen) is going to be a huge mud field, which my dog will bring into the house every day!!! Overall, very happy. read more

I have used the service several times and had no complaints. I had a clog that even heavy duty 100ft snake from Home Depot couldn't unclog. I called D&D they send in some kind of snake with a chopper head it looked like something from a comic book. They sent it in through the back end from the tank in the yard so there was no mess in the house. It chopped whatever it was up and my drains have been clear for years. read more

Great company Used them for years to pump an ancient cesspool, and ultimately install a new septic system for me. Took great care to preserve several historic stone walls that were really in the way for them, and additional great care in preserving a section of neighbors lawn they had to cross. The job went very well and i was very pleased. I have a new septic tank with the currently popular plastic top that comes out of the lawn. A few months go by and for some reason i decide my mower deck can clear this top, so end up destroying one of them foolishly. I called diffley to get a quote on dropping the caps below grade and they say they will have someone out to look at it. A few days later i notice the caps have been removed, new soil down, and grass seed spread. When i call them they said no charge and thanked me for my business! read more

Your septic system isn't something you really think too much about until you have a problem. We had a problem with ours and after reading the previous review from Dani G and striking out with my main plumbing & heating company and another national company I decided to give Diffley and Daughters a try. Service was excellent, they had to come back a second time for service and both workers did a great job explaining what they would be doing, why it needed to be done and what it would cost me. Friendly staff answered the phone when I called to make an appointment a couple of weeks away. Due to an unforeseen issue with their truck this was delayed another week or so but they kept me informed and called as soon as the truck was back on the road and came the same day. The driver / pump operator was friendly and communicative and gave a report on the condition of my septic system - all in good working order. Cost was $250 for 1,000 gallons pumped. read more

Only pumped 2/3 of tank, lied to me, manager did not respond to complaint. We had them pump our septic tank. The operator said we had a lot of solids. He didn't make much of an effort to do a thorough job because a short while later he said he was done, that he had pumped 85% out and that we should re-pump in six months. He already had the lid back on so I paid and he hustled away. Later, I thought why did he say pump again in six months if he pumped 85%. It didn't make sense. I removed the cover and discovered that he only pumped 65%! I called the office to give them a chance to make it right but the woman implied that because I paid the summer rate I was expecting too much. I was also informed that the pump operator walked off the job. The manager never called me back. read more

On a side note, the septic tchnician had a gallon sized jug of antibacterial hand sanitizer in the cab of his truck that i observed him to generously apply on himself before handing me my bill- nice! read more

Called a few contractors in the area to get connected to the sewer. These guys called right back and were competitive with other quotes, but the customer service was better than expected. Told them I had a tight timeline due to closing on selling our home and they accommodated the request even with snow on the ground. The guys that did the job were very courteous and professional. They came back to further clean the yard even after I had already paid (try to get most contractors to do that...). Overall very pleased with the service and will definitely use them again in the future for septic service at our new home. read more

I had a bit of an emergency (wife was hours away from going into labor with our first child) and septic was backed up. I called on Sunday evening and got a callback very quickly. They had someone out to my house first thing the next morning. They pumped my septic, charged me the price that was quoted, and were quick and professional. Would highly recommend. read more

I called this company in the fall to put in a new sewer line to my house. I told them I didn't want it to ruin my yard. They confirmed it would be one direct line dug up to the house. I came home and the entire yard was dug up and covered in a huge mountain of dirt. They said it would be done in a day and then tore up my entire front yard, left it to be poured on, which caused the huge mound of dirt, which later spread as mud, over my entire yard and ruined my grass completely. I called and complained. They did not do anything. At least, put a tarp down to collect the dirt you dig up, or put it in a dumptruck until it is ready to be placed back-I mean, something more professional than this. A new lawn should not be needed because one has a new sewer line out in. Will post before, during and after pics. I had a beautiful lawn which is now a disaster because of this. Awful. Now, I'm spending more money on grass. Thanks a lot. read more

During a recent weekend, we had a septic system problem. The tank needed pumping. The website said twenty four hour service. I submitted a ticket and left a message on both Saturday and Sunday. Despite the ticket stating that someone would contact me shortly, no one did on either day. I am unimpressed by this company and I will make sure that anyone who asks me about this company will not get a recommendation. Poor advertising and poor customer service. read more
