Maybe they need something in place to insure things like this don't happen but we were in the middle of a bad storm. So in the end the made good. First off the person who came was very friendly and professionally. Was done with the job but the he said the boss wanted more testing done even though he knew what was wrong. That cost me more money. Got the bill and nothing was itemized. I was a little out off buy that but let it go. Then the next day they send a different person without the part and wanted me to pay for the job like it was new. He looked at the part and went off t get it. I canceled service. The right way to do this is the person who first came should have ordered the part and whoever was going to finish should have picked up the part so u pay for the install not for someone to start the job from scratch.

I called Joe on Saturday and he came over on Monday to look at it. He opened up the inspection port for the distribution box and immediately knew what was wrong. Tree roots had gotten into it. He went to his truck, came back with a hook and was luckily able to pull them all out. Water started to flow out immediately to the leach field. Problem solved. I was thrilled. He set up an appointment for the next day to get the septic tank pumped and the D-box cleaned. I can't thank him enough for solving this for us quickly and as it turned out inexpensively. We were confident in his abilities based on how well he listened to our concerns and was able to help in a pinch. He was personable and engaging. We felt his estimate was fair and honest. He helped walk us through the RISE process for Weatherizing our home, and was super patient as we dealt with a lengthy delay in processing the 0% financing loan - which in the end, was the most frustrating part of it. But, surprise, surprise, that's a RISE problem - not an RE Coogan problem! Coogan's dedicated team of professionals were efficient, prompt and neat throughout the installation of our new unit. Our heat and hot water never worked so well - atleast in the years I can remember! He brought us great peace of mind and a relationship that we are fortunate to have for our future needs.

Most either weren't familiar with my boiler or couldn't schedule a service call for days. When I called Rob, the owner of R. E. Coogan Heating Inc., he explained that they were busy but promised to stop by that evening to see what he could do. Rob arrived around 7 PM and spent over an hour troubleshooting the problem. Although he couldn't get the boiler running that night, he assured me he would contact the manufacturer the next day and continue looking for a solution. True to his word, he called me the following day with recommendations from the manufacturer and returned that evening to try them. It was clear that he was doing everything possible to repair the boiler and save us the expense of a replacement. Unfortunately, the boiler could not be repaired because the required parts were no longer available from the manufacturer. After exhausting every reasonable option to restore it, Rob helped us move forward with a replacement as quickly as possible. After four days without hot water, I expected we would have to wait at least another week for a new installation. Rob initially estimated that the work could begin Friday and be completed by Monday. However, he called on Wednesday to let me know he had rearranged his schedule and hoped to start earlier. At 3 PM on Thursday, Rob arrived with Henry and Nick to begin removing the old boiler. He then brought in additional crew members the next day and worked hard to complete the installation as quickly as possible. As promised, our new boiler was installed and our hot water was restored by Friday evening. What impressed me most was Rob's commitment to helping us. He went out of his way to accommodate our family, worked tirelessly to find the most cost-effective solution, and followed through on every promise he made. Henry, Nick, and the rest of the team were professional, courteous, and respectful of our home, leaving everything clean when the job was finished. It is rare to find a company that combines expertise, integrity, and genuine care for its customers the way R. E. Coogan Heating Inc. does. We are extremely grateful to Rob and his team for their outstanding service and highly recommend them.
