I asked for a no-chip manicure based on the color theme of the character Claude von Riegan from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

I consider myself a semi-regular customer of DIF Nails; I've been going once every 3-4 months (for about 10 years now) to get body waxing and/or my nails done. The original owners ran a fairly modest, no-frills business. However, they recently sold the shop to move out of the country, and the new management seems to be more mindful about not wanting the place to look dated. They did a "soft" remodel last week and bought some new furniture/equipment and shifted the old stuff around. I appreciate the remodeling because I personally think that it was definitely a bit overdue. The place looks a lot more upscale now. The new management is also currently doing some new marketing promotions, which I like because that's something I don't think I ever saw the old management do so in my 10 years of coming to this salon. Overall, the experience (whether body waxing or getting nails done) seems a lot more professional/polished now, and I think I'll probably be returning a bit more often, especially if they keep running these good promotions.

Almost / over a year later I revisited for a fill-in ($18). This place does a good job at giving thin, more natural looking acrylics which I like. My full-set was done at another nail salon & they came out thick & unnatural looking, but the male nail technician did an a great job at fixing them for the fill. He was attentive and even made sure to ask here and there while performing his tasks if I ever felt uncomfortable or hurt while shaving my nails down with his tools. The polish job isn't my favorite, it was done nicely but there are imperfections and I think it would have been nice to go in with a cotton swab or paper to rub the excess polish off the edges of my skin for a cleaner look. I'll definitely come back, I just haven't found the right nail salon yet compared to Californian nail salons but this is still much, much better than others.

I am so upset i have naturally strong and long nails the nail technician was taking the electric nail filer trying to take off my nails!!!! It was hurting i told her she was thinning my nail bed she said she needed to do that to take off my gel!! Its called soaking them off!!!! She ruined my nails every single one is breaking! Than she started talking crap about me to the other technicians i had such a horrible experience never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont go here if you care about the health of your nails

I love getting my nails done here. I usually have no preference of who does my nails. But if asked for a choice I would always ask for Sophie. She is not in a hurry to get it done. She takes her time and does a very good job.

“For the pedicure, she set a timer to make sure that she massaged each leg and foot for 2-3 min and the water she used was so warm it relaxed my muscles.”

I'm here in town only for a couple of days and needed to get my nails done. I like my nails to look…read morenatural, Cindy did a great job! Too bad I live in Virginia!!! ***$45 is worth the price for nails that don't chip and last 3-4 weeks. Not to be confused with shellac or gel (no chip). The girls at the shop know them as "dipping powder". If I could come back more often I would. Very friendly and knowledgeable!!! Thanks, Pro Nails @ Woodfield Mall!!!

This is the third and final time I'm giving this place a try. I came in Saturday afternoon (3:30pm)…read morefor a regular mani pedi in preparation for my bridal shower that was yesterday at 10:30am. After waiting 30 minutes for a technician, soaking my feet in a tub that was lined with plastic, with particles of plastic floating around in the tub, I was greeted. I was very lightly scrubbed with the micro planer and I was given a pedicure. It's fine, nothing to write home about. BUT The place is crazy crazy disgusting. Seriously - none of the tools were sanitized (including nail files, buffers, clippers). The sink to wash your hands is right next to a tub of hot wax, next to a back up generator and someone's lunch. Toe separators and shoes were to be re-used. The place is covered in dust from the acrylics. Obviously the tub is disgusting. The manicure took 45 minutes. It started to develop bubbles within minutes of getting under the drying lamps and the nails started to chip yesterday morning. Less than two days later, the nails have completely chipped off. I spent $35 for the mani pedi, plus a 10 dollar tip. For a chipped nail job that didn't even last. Stay away but if you want to worry about contracting a flesh eating parasite, this is the place for you.

I have curly hair that I like to straighten, so it's extremely important that I have someone who can work with it. The staff does a fantastic job! I have been to this location several times, but probably five years ago or so. I was looking…read moreforward to my recent appointment as it was a birthday present for myself. I had hoped for a facial and the Aveda Aqua Massage. When I checked in for my appointments, they asked for my Groupon for the Aveda Sensory Facial. The Groupon was scanned and nothing was said to me. Not until I was in my robe and in the treatment room. The aesthetician told me that I had used a Groupon in the past (which must've been years ago) and they either couldn't honor it or I could use it towards paying the full price of the facial. I forgot if I had used one years ago. The aesthetician talked to me about my massage. And it was just a salt scrub. I said no it was supposed to be the aqua Massage. And she said that wasn't what was booked. And I don't do those you'd have to see a regular masseuse for that. I just agreed to go along because I wanted to have a nice experience, but it wasn't looking too good. The salt scrub was OK but if it lasted a half hour I would be surprised. Between the "hour" facial and the body scrub I was in the room for maybe an hour and a half. The service was OK. Then I went into the steam shower area, which is always nice. I got dressed and I went to check out at the front desk I wanted a copy of the receipt because of the difference in cost with the facial and the massage. The woman said we only email them. I should've waited for my email before leaving. When I did receive the email I had started driving. So on my receipt, they did not give me the full $79 credit that I paid for my Groupon. They only gave me $63 in credit. Also, there's a $4 additional charge on the receipt. I called back that afternoon and had to leave a message because the recording said they were busy. No one returned my call. I called back the following day and was told that the additional $4 charge was to help offset the cost of the keeping the exceptional experience at the Asha Salon Spa??? I was told that they only applied $63 of my Groupon because they have to pay Groupon the $16 back. And that's how Groupon makes money. I have never heard of that before and I've used Groupon for years. They stood by their comments. I sent an email to Groupon who was supposed to get back to me within a week. I have not heard from them. At this point, I don't think I'll be using Groupon. If I do use Asha Salon spa in the future, I would make sure and double check I have the services I wanted, the prices and the length of the treatment clearly defined before I checked in for my appointment. It was clearly disappointing and not the experience that I've had in the past.
